I just can't connect to the characters sadly so I'm throwing in the towel.
I do have to say that there's an definite improvement in the editing compared to book one! That's great and makes reading it more pleasant.
There's one thing I can't stand in zombie fiction and that's the super duper zombie.
It always feels like to much, it's already enough that almost everyone is a zombie, there's no need for one that can think, talk, has armored skin, grows to a giant, can run faster then Usain Bolt or leap the distance of house...
These are just examples, not all are attributes of the zombies in these books.
The story was going well and interesting. For some reason though, the author decided that our main characters needed to meet someone wearing Versace and use a homophobic slur. Totally unnecessary and totally out of character.
I'm enjoying his stories! Unlike many independent writers, Mr. Bourne does not make as many grammatical errors or spelling mistakes! That, in itself, is refreshing!
This is one series that I recommend to anyone even alittle interested in a Zombie Apocalypse. David Bourne has done such a great job from the first book in this series, right up to this one. I am so very excited for a book #3. 5 stars for sure, and this is one series that has not disappointed me at all. Kudos to David Bourne.
Ez in meaning to read! The only bad part is waiting for the next one. Love the characters and the storyline. Would like a little more happening faster, though.
