¡Por fin he encontrado una historia de Thor que me ha dejado fascinado de principio a fin! Si han seguido mis reseñas, sabrán que el año pasado leí Thor: El Primer Trueno, pues es uno de los cómics que recomiendan a los nuevos lectores del personaje, y me llevé una decepción brutal. Esto debido a que la historia me había parecido muy aburrida.
Por esta razón, decidí que debía hacer una búsqueda más exhaustiva para encontrar las historias más importante del dios del trueno de Marvel. Afortunadamente, la colección de Los Héroes Más Poderosos de Marvel llegó en el momento adecuado, pues justo salió el tomo de Thor, en donde se encontraba la historia de Thor Dissassembled, en la que se relata el tan esperado y temido Ragnarok.
Lo primero que quiero resaltar son las maravillosas ilustraciones que acompañan esta novela gráfica. Las escenas de combate fueron espectaculares y ver a cada uno de los personajes pasar por las diferentes emociones que se presentaban en la historia es invaluable. Definitivamente la unión de guionista e ilustrador estuvo en total sintonía en este tomo.
Me gustó además la narración y la forma en como la historia respetaba la tradición y la cultura nórdica. Si bien Thor es un personaje basado en la mitología nórdica, no siempre encontramos historias que reflejen tanto respeto hacia ella. Siento que aprendí sobre esta cultura mientras avanzaba con la lectura. Además, los dialogos de los personajes eran impecables, y el rol que jugó cada uno en la historia fue muy pertinente. Nadie sobró y nadie faltó.
Sin duda este tomo entra en mi top de mejores tomos de la colección de los héroes más poderosos de Marvel, podría incluso luchar por la primera posición con los X-Men o Daredevil. Qué buen cómic el que he encontrado aquí. Este es un tomo imperdible.

Marvel's Mightiest Heroes Book 11.
In the first of two stories here we get the first ever appearance of the modern Marvel Comics Thor, as Doctor Donald Blake finds a staff in Norway which turns out to actually be the mighty hammer Mjolnir.
The second story tells of Ragnarok; the death of the gods and the fall of Asgard itself.
The first story is an iconic piece of Marvel lore and is a fun mash-up of Norse mythology and 1960s science fiction, with the newly empowered Thor going toe-to-toe with the 'Stone Men from Saturn'.
It's good fun but I found that here it's spoiled somewhat by having been recoloured with modern digital techniques. Sometimes these modern updatings work fine, but here it clashes really badly with Jack Kirby's iconic art style, robbing the story of some of its classic provenance.
I was particularly impressed by the second story (variously called 'Avengers Disassembled: Thor' and 'Ragnarok' depending on which title page you're looking at here) which takes Thor back to the character's mythological roots.
Michael Avon Oeming and Daniel Berman do a great job of capturing the tone of classic Norse mythology and there is a distinct air of both melancholy and inevitability to the events of Ragnarok which feels very appropriate to the cataclysmic passing of an entire pantheon of gods.

De verdad, le daría 5 estrellas porque es un buen tomo, le quito 2 porque MUERTE A LOS RECOLOREADOS DIGITALES DE COMICS CLASICOS.... MUERTE

Interesting enough read, but nothing superb.

Having been drawn into the world of Marvel through the Thor movies, I was really excited to have Thor's part in this collection arrive. I did try to wait... but I couldn't resist, since in movie verse, I'd class Thor as my favourite Marvel superhero.
I was interested to see Thor's first appearance. While it was confusing to see an apparently ordinary mortal be able to become Thor, but still retain his memories as Donald Blake, I think the information at the end (and what I've read in previous volumes) explained things fairly well.
I did notice the big contrast between Thor's first appearance and the final set of comics. It was intensely sad to see Thor choose to send his Avenger friends back to Earth, rather than let them fight alongside him. And although I knew what was likely to come with it being Ragnarok, I was still drawn into what was happening with the characters and I cared about their fates.
I didn't get to see much of Thor acting as more of a hothead, but it was interesting to see how he'd matured in the second set of comics. I enjoyed seeing the brotherhood he shared, not just with his fellow Asgardians, but with his friends from the other realms as well.
I thought it was interesting to get glimpses of some of the other realms. While there didn't seem to be much going on in Earth, the other realms were clearly affected. And it was good to be able to see various others, such as glimpses of Fenrir and Jormungand... also Hela. It was a bit disappointing that many of the villains didn't seem to have much in the way of redeeming qualities, though.
I thought it was good to see that Thor had to make sacrifices and that, although he was reluctant to do so, he still did what was needed. I thought it was especially scary to learn about the cycles, though I would have liked to know a few more details about how it all worked.
Although Thor isn't my favourite Marvel character in the comic verse, it was good to see his origins and I do like him as a superhero. In the future, I do hope to read more of his comics... and I'd especially like to see more of his relationship with Loki.

Here we have a digitally touched up first appearance of Thor and Donald Blake as the Doctor whilst on holiday comes across the gnarled cane which becomes Thor's hammer thus turning the mortal into the God of thunder and he learns to us his power and take on invading aliens.
The main story chosen is another Ragnarok, the art is brilliant, each panel bursts out with grim life as the world of Asgard is in the throes of the end of days, thanks to Loki.
This is not a fun story but a brutal one as Thor has the hammer break and must rely on himself but to do that he must find himself.
Couldn't put it down!

Such a shame to only give 2 stars, as Thor is one of my favourite Marvel characters. But I just couldn't get into this story at all.

Recuerdo poquísimo de esta saga, más allá de que la historia primigenia de los cosos de piedra de Saturno era bastante entretenida y la del Ragnarok moderno no estaba mal y se veía bastante bien.
