Young women today face a multitude of problems and experiences. From bullying, social media, friendships, and dating women today need the encouragement and knowledge that they are loved and adored by their Savior. The author takes this concept and created a beautiful book for young women. Each devotional is short and can be read quickly. It begins with a scripture and there is a small space for notes or prayers at the end. The cover art is carried throughout the book for a visually pleasing look. Each devotional is numbered, but not dated. So the book can be started at any point during the year.

I wanted this for my daughter who is nearing her teen years. I think she will love it, because I did. It's small size would allow her to take it with her to school or on a trip. The cover is gorgeous. I think the author did a great job of addressing the issues that young women face today without coming across as preachy or boring. Each page is short, but meaningful. I can't wait to give this book to my daughter and think it would make an excellent gift for any young woman.

I received a copy of this book from Handlebar Marketing. All thoughts expressed are my own.

One of the best devotionals I've ever read!

Adored by Lindsay A. Franklin is like the friend you love to see and talk to every day. Each devotional is heartfelt, spiritual, encouraging, and written with a sprinkle of humor. They're the perfect length so you can slide an uplifting message into any part of your busy schedule, and the format is set so that you can begin reading on any day of the year, not necessarily January 1st. I would read a page before bed each night, and no matter what I had been going through, this book brought a smile to my face and left me thinking about the message into the next day.

This devotional explores God's promises to us and explains who he calls us: his loved, adored treasure. It shows us what makes God's love so intimate and distinguished from the kind of love the world offers and reminds us that we are infinitely precious to His Kingdom.

I absolutely adored this book and I truly hope this author will write more like it! I wholeheartedly recommend for any girl looking for a sound devotional to strengthen her relationship with the Lord and the way she thinks about him. <3

This is a beautiful devotional for young women. With 365 different devotions, they can use it all year. Perfect for a before or during breakfast devotion to start the day with, it gives you a verse and a short thought about it. It includes lines to write on, just in case you think of something to write about regarding the devotion. There is no prayer or application, but there are things to consider each day.

This is a minute or two with God type devotional for those in a huge rush but who still want to spend time with God. This is not a devotional where you delve deep into study to uncover unknown truths and grow as a believer. However, this is perfect for college women and young working women who are in a rush to get ready for class and work and are inhaling their daily devotions along with a cup of hot coffee or high caffeine breakfast tea to get themselves jump-started.

This would be a good gift idea for a late teen or early twenty year old woman in your life. Along with a good writing pen, this might encourage her to start her day with God in the new year.

I got a copy free. All opinions are my own.

Such a beautiful and sweet devotional that manages to lift you up with every page!

I don’t always make time for devos reading unless I’m motivated to do it in a group, so I skipped out of the habit for a while. Diving into the Word everyday is invaluable, but finding specific encouragement in the God-inspired thoughts of someone else can turn your day around. I love how Franklin manages to pack so much into a single page, and I’ve purchased this devotional for young and old friends and family, and everyone adores it.

This little hardback book is pretty and would make a nice gift for a young woman for her personal devotional time or maybe as a group devotional. With short daily devotions paired with scripture verses (NIV) and space for journaling, this book is a good tool for tackling tough topics young ladies face every day. It's got an eye-catching cover with a pretty bird graphic with blue and gold designs. However, in this day of many different types of journaling devotionals, I was a little disappointed by the inside pages. They are pretty simple with the same design on each page. Other than that, this is a pretty little devotional that many young ladies will enjoy.

What a wonderful Devotional for young women. Really I am not that young but I am enjoying it. Adored is a 365 devotional for young women, hitting on topics they are going through like bullying, social media and dating to name a few. Each day there is a devotion and scripture verse that pertains to it. Nice at the end is a place so you can journal your thoughts. We all are precious in God's sight. He adores us. Perfect gift for someone you might know that is going through some growing up issues. Give a gift of love. Let them find God in their heart.

One year already. God guided me so many times with accurate words from this book. Even if it was written years ago, it sometimes suited my days perfectly.

I'll re-read some of the pages for sure.

Such a blessing to be shared!

About the Book:

My Review:

As a young girl, I remember so desperately wanting to be loved. A lot of young girls will do anything to receive that love from another individual. They may even go as far as stooping so low on a level that they don't quite understand because they don't even remotely get how what they are feeling or not feeling is so utterly serious--more than they even know. But, lucky for us God knows. He knows their thought and their fears and He can keep everything in line if we just have that "right" relationship with Him.

In Adored, your tween girl or teen whichever the case may be, needs to hear from God before she ever hears from the world. The world she is use to and therefore "the world" and all of its lies drowned out God, sometimes and because of this it can prove to be disastrous for your young daughter. I will tell you from experience, the most important relationship a young girl will ever have is with her Savior. That is why it is so very important to instill this in her life, early on. One way to do that is through a daily devotional that she can read and connect with each day.

Adored is perfect for young girls and it has enough devotions for the entire year. Real simple to understand with a sort lesson based on scripture. Also, a beautifully bound hardcover perfect for gift giving!

Adored is available in hardback with a gorgeous cover. This is a great devotional that encourages young women to grow in their walks with the Lord. The word love is thrown around everywhere. I love pizza. I love my friends, my boyfriend, that book I just read. Sometimes love can be confusing, especially when it comes to God. We read about love and we know that God’s love is a different kind of love. That’s exactly the goal the author is trying to portray through these devotions because young women are facing so much these days.

There are 365 devotionals to be used every single day of the year, but they’re not dated so you can use them whenever you want at any point of the year. Each devotional is short, written to the point, and can easily be read quickly. This is perfect for those days when there just seems to never be enough time. There is a Scripture to focus on and blank lines at the end of every devotional where small notes or prayers could be written.

The cover is absolutely gorgeous and the perfect size for a teenager to take with them to school, on a trip, or wherever they plan to do their quiet time. This would make the perfect gift for a loved one this Christmas.

Highly recommended!

Adored: 365 Devotions for Young Women by Zondervan tackles tough topics girls face, from bullying and social media to friendships and dating, all the while showing readers how infinitely precious they are in God’s sight.

Each day contains a devotion that is relative to a young woman's life with room to journal for an even more personalized experience. Scripture is also included that is perfect for memorization, a starting point for daily Bible reading, or to simply remind the reader that the Bible still connects with our lives even hundreds of years later. Adored will resonate with girls searching for truth and guidance given with honesty and a touch of humor.

It's a wonderful gift for tweens, teens, and young women with it's compact size and beautiful, foiled cover, with two-color interior pages. The hard cover is durable and the pages are strongly bound (in my case, tested and proven by a curious 2 year old) to easily handle every day use. I also love that it does not have a specific date, making this a good gift for any time of the year AND you don't feel like you have to play catch-up (or simply abandon the book) if you miss a day or more. My only complaint was that it seemed like it would be a bit awkward to write in and I would like more space for journaling.

Devotions for Young Women

Although this book is aimed at young women, I think it could be enjoyed by all woman. In today’s world, young women face many challenges from dating and social pressures to bullying and friendship. The devotions in this book address these issues and others in easy to read language that brings the love of God to the young woman.

The book is structured for a full year of devotions. Each page contains a scriptural message and a devotion that focuses on an aspect of the message. In addition, there are lines at the bottom of the page for making notes.

I love the design of the book. It feels solid in your hand. The pages are thick giving it a feel of permanence. This is a book that you can use for years. The art on the pages echoes the cover design and gives the book an attractive artistic appearance.

I enjoyed the devotions and highly recommend the book. I think while they are designed for young women, mothers and grandmothers would also like the book. It gives insight on how to deal with some of the issues facing their daughters and granddaughters.

These devotions are so beautifully written and point the young woman reader to a loving God who adores her. But let's start at the beginning - the cover. It is stunning in design, gold foil, and utter femininity. Love the dove which speaks of the Holy Spirit.

There is the encouragement to respect one's own body and treat it with honor in regard to behavior and dress. The consistency and steadfastness of God is brought to the reader's attention. The never failing love and guidance of God for the individual is tenderly brought forth. Truly a wide range of topics appropriate for the young woman.

The short scripture with each devotional is NIV and the text is gently addressed to the young woman (and it is appropriate for women of all ages) bringing her to the realization that she is God's beloved. God's adored.

I prefer the KJV Bible but realize that for many the NIV speaks to them. This devotional is one I can highly recommend and I can't wait to share it with my granddaughter.

While this book is marketed as being for teen girls, I am intending to use it as part of my own daily devotional time in 2018. I also think it would make a great graduation gift this spring, or if you're still looking for a Christmas gift for a teen/college girl, go pick up a copy now.

The illustrations and graphics included in this book are lovely yet subdued. There are a variety of topics covered in the devotions, including:
What does holiness mean?
Where does our value come from?
What does God say about modesty?
How should I respond to bullying?
Does my reputation matter?
Why does God allow suffering?
What are spiritual gifts?
How do I combat sadness?
What does a Christian look like?
What does generosity have to do with me?

Each entry has a devotion, a Scripture verse, and a space for journaling your thoughts about the devotion/Scripture and how it applies to you.

I LOVE this devotional!! It's such a beautiful little book inside and out.

This devotion really focuses on God's love for us. It explains how much God loves and adores us and how He does this in such amazing ways.

Each day starts with a Scripture to meditate on and there is a devotion for each day of the year and then a space at the bottom of the page for recording your own thoughts. I really like this because it helps me to remember what I've read and to write down things that really spoke to me or that I want to especially remember.

I can't tell you how gorgeous the inside of this book is. I just love the pretty pages! More importantly, each Scripture and devotion really shows you how much God loves you and how special you are to Him. I believe we all need to be reminded of this!

I highly recommend this devotion and give it 5 out of 5 stars.

Adored is a sweet, simple devotional aimed at young women. It begins with Genesis and ends with Revelation, appropriately. Differing from other devotionals for young women that can often focus on relationships, this devotional hits all aspects of life. It brings out doctrine, making truths from God’s word easily understandable and applicable. I enjoyed reading the verses from the NIV and also the insights that were written underneath. Each devotional is short, only a verse or two, with two or three paragraphs underneath and then several lines below that for journaling. Adored would be a good springboard for further personal study.

With pretty design and overall solid doctrine, this would be a nice Christmas present for a young woman in your life to encourage her in her faith.

I decided to review this book because I am always looking for devotions my teen-age daughter might actually read. This is one I think she would. I haven’t passed it on to her yet, but I will be.
Each day has a quick reading, written in a style that will relate and appeal to young girls. There is a Bible verse and a place for the girls to jot down any thoughts they have.
Although I would love my daughter to have a deeper time of study I’m under no illusions that she thinks like an adult, so I would love for her get into this book and hear some Jesus truth everyday.

A copy of this book was given to me. All opinions are my own.

This is a wonderful devotional for teen girls or young women! It looks at a variety of topics with a fresh young voice. I loved the humor and I especially loved the emphasis on how much God loves and adores us! The artwork is very cute and I like that the inside matches the outside. It's also a nice size, not too big or small and has a hard cover so it will be more durable. I highly recommend this book and it would make a wonderful gift for a young lady in your life!

The book is designed to offer daily encouragement, and the overall reminder is that “You are loved.” The 365 readings are short enough to fit into a busy schedule. Scripture verses are based on the NIV Bible. A small prompt (such as a question) could have been helpful in guiding the reader a bit more. The cover is sturdy, and the book is a convenient (small) size, so it would be easy to travel with, as well. It would make a nice supplement to a daily Bible-reading plan.

My 16 year old daughter's thoughts:
First off, the book looks great in person, and it is a little over an inch thick. Sturdy! From what I have read, I find the devotionals sharing some of the basic points we need in our lives, but also saying "here's what's what" in its own way. The author is honest, and I like that. I actually just picked the book up and read some—and it fit today, reminding me of how I need to act in a situation I might encounter.
Also, one great thing about this devotional is that there are no specific dates on the devos, just day 1, day 2, etc. so you can start on any date.

Will I read more? I think so.
Will I give this book to someone else someday? Probably.
Do I recommend it? Yes.

I give it 4 stars—★★★★.

Adored: 365 Devotions for Young Women, published by Zondervan, offers 365 devotions targeting a young audience of Christian women. Written by Lindsay A. Franklin and illustrated by Micah Kandros, the foil overlay and blue and white pages are inviting. I received a free copy in exchange for my honest review.

Young women face daily challenges, anything from bullying over social media and in friendships and dating. Zondervan offers this beautiful hardcover book of devotions that target the daily challenges facing our young women. Each day speaks to the heart of the matter, paired with scripture, and a journaling area for further reflection.

One of my favorite devotions was Day 144 where Franklin quotes from 2 Timothy and goes on to speak about our feelings of self worth.

"Do you ever take a look at yourself - at all the areas where you feel inadequate or at all the times you've failed - and wonder why God would choose you?" (p. 152).

Franklin lets her reader know that God does not make mistakes and extends to us his grace in spite of our failures. At the end of this devotion, there is a small space to journal as the reader reflects on the questions "Whose path can you light today?"

This devotional wins the prize for the most beautiful illustrations and the most inviting graphics throughout the book. It will immediately grab the attention of the young women in your life. Each page is filled with deep Biblical truth.

I felt this book was targeted toward young women who were in their 20's and not so much my teenager. That being said, I think it's written for young women who are already aware of the stories in the Bible and the narratives therein. If a young woman is just starting her walk with the Lord, this devotional may be a great gift she will grow into.

I do recommend this book to young women who need to remember who they are in Christ. If you're new to Christianity, this devotional may not resonate well with you. Although, I don't recommend that you pass it up.

This makes a great gift for Christmas and or Thanksgiving. If you can contain yourself long enough, it's a great graduation gift.
