Could a Prime’s offer of immense power be enough for one to abandon the search for Lauren?
The true purpose of the Primes will be unveiled and one’s loyalty gets tested in the enthralling supernatural suspense fantasy, Five Golden Rays.
The Prime Insurgency: Five Golden Rays was provided to me by the author for an honest review.
I really feel that this should have been proofread a few times before publishing. after all its only 35 pages long. There were so many little errors, such as using past and present tense in the same sentence, plural when singular case applied. There were sentences that didn't seem right such as in chapter two when Tony and Lance drive into town "They got off and walked their way to the street" Got off what? They were in a car.
I really feel that this would have been better combined with the other stories in a short novella perhaps. In all honesty I think it could have been better . The whole sun god thing bombing buildings when if they were so powerful they could give Tony all the info on the planet , why did they need to bomb when they could use their power to obliterate the human population, and save themselves. Plus the way it ended it seemed like there were too many loose ends. I couldn't really connect to the characters .
I read this book on my friend's Kindle during a road trip. I loved it so I felt compelled to review it. Fast-paced and short, its pacing and length actually serves the narrative very well. I tend to dismiss this genre and "series" eBooks, but after reading this book I'm rethinking that tendency! Take it from a literary snob - Five Golden Rays is really worth reading.
"The Prime Insurgency: Five Golden Rays" has potential to be a good book, but was a good novella instead. I do hope the author compiles his finished series into 1-3 books to bring together the reading experience so it has the feel of a full story. Overall, I enjoyed following the two main characters, Lance and Tony. I enjoyed Tony the most as a main character, but was happy the author provided two vibrant protagonists and that I could choose to identify with either. The conflict between the two MCs and the Primes was more than enough to keep me on my toes as I tried to guess the outcome. If you're looking for a quick and interesting read filled with ancient preternatural beings, The Prime Insurgency might be up your alley.
