My Husband's Secret

Rate this book
Kadesha Mullings, wakes to the sound of her husband's cell phone vibrating at 4 o'clock in the morning. It is her sister, Peaches – the one who’d accused Kadesha's husband of raping her. It has been five months since they last heard of Peaches. Why is she calling? What does she want? But what Kadesha really want to know is why is her sister’s number still stored in her husband’s phone? Kadesha attempts to put her suspicions to rest, eager to trap her husband in his lies, but she soon discovers that her husband is better at keeping a secret than her ability to pull it out of him. He has no interest in making things that easy for her. So her quest for the truth eventually leads her to her best friend, Deidra Nixon, a private investigator to help her solve the reason behind her husband’s evasive behavior. What started as a simple missed call explodes into chains of mysterious events, which shakes the very core of Kadesha’s Christian faith and ultimately, drives a wedge between her and her husband that could crush their seventeen-year marriage to powder.

This book was FANTASTIC!!!! When I tell you I started reading this and was like H.H. you letting me down this is so predictable......I was WRONG! This book had twist and turns that I couldn't believe! I have yet to read a book where H.H. doesn't pull something out at the end that makes you want to throw the book /phone/tablet you reading!!!! I am scared to read another book because I just don't think it will compare. All I can say is you won't be disappointed in this book!! Also it's a quick read cause you won't want to put it down!!!!

Powerful

I got sooo caught up in this story as if I was watching from the sidelines. It seemed so real. This story is an purfect example of why you shouldn't bring your marriage problem to others who are not Godly Council because things can go left really bad. Don't want to give any spoilers but man grab this book H.H Fowler knocked it out the park with this.

Listen...this book was a great read. It was just enough suspense to keep my attention and the pages turning. I hadn't read H.H Fowler since Curch Boyz. I'm looking forward to reading more. I won't be a spoiler but baby, when I say what glitters ain't always gold--Mr. Denton is the epitome of that cliche.

EXCELLENT!!!!

OMG! The author did a great job with this story. He realistically portrayed spiritual warfare and the results of yielding to sin. Of most importance I loved how he highlighted the power of prayer and the fact that our God is merciful and will NEVER leave us nor forsake us! TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!

Secrets are dangerous

This was really a good book. It kept me on the edge. Very suspenseful and enjoyable. When I put it down I knew I had something enjoyable and exciting to return to. But HH Fowler never disappoint, somehow I knew I was in for a good read. He is excellent. Don't be surprised, there a twist to the story.

Wow. Ok I knew Deidra was up to something. I knew that girl was conniving. Kadesha, and Shawn was a great couple, but the lies Shawn was doing he should have just told her the truth!!. Peaches, the scandalous sister. This girl was just as stupid as they come.

Secrets will reveal themselves.

Trust is the key factor. Sometimes if you just stay still and learn to trust God, you will save yourself much heartache. Awesome read. Suspenseful till the end.

Things Aren't Always What They Seem

This book took readers on a journey. A journey of trust, dishonesty, and faith in God. Lots of confusion until all the secrets came to the light. Good read.

Secrets

The book was a good read but there was issues with the time frames. It seems like some of the dates didn't match up. Also, I don't understand how Kadesha was so slow when it came to her so call BFF.

That sneaky devil!

How ironic the devil plays this game making us think he is after one person when he really is after another trying to destroy both. This was a good book without all the sexual garbage.

Eventful

Overall I thought the storyline was good. However some of it was predictable but I can say the Denton storyline took me for a loop. I enjoyed the book and would recommend reading more from this author.

I really wanted to like this book more but I just couldn't. First the printing format was off which just made the book unpleasant to try to read. The plot was entertaining and the characters were ok but overall it left a lot to be desired.

Boring

The book was well written but it just took the author way too long to get to the point. I lost interest halfway through and had to force myself to finish....................

Not a fan.

I enjoyed the authors other books much better. I would have preferred the accounts of the other characters as well, not just the main character.
