To make sure that general theory of relativity was totally wrong, we can apply astronomical test of general relativity, as described in this book, at the 2017 solar eclipse, Monday, August 21, in USA.

Einstein's general relativity has never been right. Einstein has no idea on the basic of astronomy. Einstein hypothesis and Einstein proposed test about bending of light is closely related to astronomy, especially celestial navigation. The navigators around the world will easily able to know Einstein's hypothesis is not valid; and doesn't meet requirement of the scientific method. It seems that the Einsteinians should be testing the theory from a space-based telescope to eliminate the effect of Earth’s atmosphere.
