Honestly, it would have been higher because I liked the story but I couldn’t get over the spelling errors in this batch...

This set of 3 books are completely off the wire from the rest of the series.
It feels like the author totally changed their mind about how the series should go, so they wrote in some total science fiction ideas such as erased memories, fake people (impostors) and such.
Absolutely ridiculous.

I've already purchased the final set of 3 so I'm going to give it a try, but if the story line continues to change and the characters get stupid again I am totally not going to finish this series.

I"m so disappointed, What HAPPENED? It was going so well. It was a good story!! I enjoyed the triumvirate. I enjoyed the growth and how the characters were getting stronger and then BAM!!! It all changed and went backwards.
Was it more important to add more books for more money? Is that the reason? Was it coming to a close but "too soon" so the author wanted to screw everything up by changing the main characters, adding memories that made them totally act like they had multiple personalities, therefore adding more books to make it drag on?

I guess I'll find out with 10, 11 and 12.

I love these characters and the first six books have very few grammatical errors.... now I am torn.

I love the characters, but the quality of writing drastically deteriorated as I progressed through these three.
I felt like I had my red pen out to correct ... even found myself talking at the book hoping it would fix itself.

There were instances where I had to puzzle out the author’s meaning, due to the seemingly un-proofed writing.

I want to know what happens next, but a story should flow and with many errors it chops it up.
Plus, there is a major arc error that is incredibly annoying to me.

I actually wondered when it first came up why the other characters allowed it... guess it was more that the author forgot what she wrote.

I am disappointed here!
The three stars are for the Triumvirate, not the writing.
Not sure if I will continue, and that makes me sad.

As Ciardis, Sebastian & Thanar continue on their journey to save Algardis from the wrath of the Gods & an a fake emperor, allies become enemies, enemies become rivals, new alliances are forged, new friendships made ad new threats uncovered.

Even though I was re-reading this box set it felt as if I was re-reading it for the 1st time. We see Ciardis growing into so much more than a simpleton that she was in the 1st book. From a poor orphan girl to a companion, a princess in waiting, a warrior, a mage she has become a powerhouse.

Sebastian has grown from a boy to a man, though a man of integrity he still puts his mantle way before his family.

Thanar he's as much an enigma as he was earlier.

Terris, Christian, Vana, Raisa, and so many more beloved faces flit in and out from the pages.

This series is as spellbinding today as it was when I read it last.

I have no idea what happened, but...yikes! Be warned. This set of books is completely bonkers. By the time you finish (if you finish), you will have yelled, "Just finish the conversation!!" about twenty times. The whiplash offered by significantly worse editing, complete 180 plot changes, and moody, stuck in her own head diatribes from Ciardis, will cause you to wish you had never experienced these three books.

However, if you're like me, you're a glutton for punishment and will push through to the end. We shall see what the last box set holds. I can only hope it ends well.

Just as I decide I want Ciardis to choose the 1st prince I'm thrown by actions into wanting it to be the 2nd prince and then back againa & again! If you are a lover of supernatural with some romance books then you should realky read the entire Courtlight Series!

The series started off well, but I feel that as it has progressed although the characters, storyline and adventures continue to be maintain interest with unexpected twists and turns, that the whole thing is being unnecessarily stretched out with quite long conversations and recaps that don't add to the story and have sometimes had me tempted to skip pages.

Majic

I will enjoyed this book. Though I read it so fast I will need to read it again. So much hate and malice in one place. Such passion and intensity was invigorating. At times slightly dramatic but I lapped it up. Book 10 here I come.
