When they say that it’s always the ones you don't expect, they’re aren’t lying. Well, not just the one she least expected, but when she least expected as well. Her entire life, she’d been told to keep away from Logan Pearson - he was five years older than her and had grown up just down the road from the house she spent her life in, leaving high school just as she entered it (he was held back a year after ending up in juvenile detention for vandalising the car of one of his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriends - it was the talk of the school when it happened). She would be lying if she said that she’d never noticed him before. He stood at more than six foot tall, with a strong, lean torso, muscled arms, and the kind of jawbone that could cut steel. More than a few times, she would invite some friends around in high school and they would spent the afternoon out on Logan-watch on the front lawn, giggling to themselves whenever he showed his face. Those dark eyes matched his dark hair turned him into something of a dreamboat around town, spoken about in hallowed, hushed whispers when they admitted who they had a crush on in the dark at sleepovers.
She hadn’t thought about him in…a long time when she saw him at her father’s funeral.
She squinted at him for a second as the organ began to play, racking her brains to try and place him - and then it hit her.
Sweet romance with a strong main character that needed to just find the right man. Quick read, almost too quick. I would have enjoyed the relationship build up but found the four-month jump disappointing.
This was in the back of one of Kayla's book and I wasn't going to read it but I am so glad I did, I was on vacation and it was such a great book to read it was fast paced, quick and an easy read.
Reeva was such an interesting character and really didn't have a clue of what was going on around her and just needed to get her head out of the clouds and see what was really in front of her, this didn't happen until her fathers funeral but what comes with loss can also open up other doors.
Logan was a bad boy trying to make good on his life and was really trying to change and I really liked seeing this side to him and seeing the softer side to him the way he helped Reeva's parents was awesome.
Again this was a great short read that I really enjoyed
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book Oh what a beautiful sweet story. This is the story of Reeva, a bit of a lost soul since her dad died. Going out with Ellis, who was just a means to an end . He used her I suppose and was company for her. Then there was him....Logan, her schoolgirl crush. Seeing him at her dads' funeral made her open her eyes to see what was really going on. Logan was sweet, caring and totally misunderstood. Loved the way they got to know each other and secrets revealed about Logan and her family. As I said, a very enjoyable read, loved it all.
A short, sweet, to the point, read about growing up, making amends and falling in love. I think the plot is a great one, for me personally I would have liked to have seen more character development, and story. Gives them time to develop a relationship ect. With that being said, I did find it enjoyable and have loved a few of her other books. She has a knack for fast-paced sensual heat romances, I am quickly becoming a fan of! I read an advanced readers copy of this book voluntarily
Reeva is at her fathers funeral and she sees someone she just can't quite remember. Then it hits her it is Logan. He was the bad boy she had a crush on in high school. Her mother decides to play match maker with the two of them. And what do you know? It works. Logan has become a nice and caring man while Reeva is learning that being a party girl isn't as much fun anymore. This is a quick read but very well worth your time. Good story!
I liked Tempted. I liked the way that Reeva and Logan did not hang out together at school came together through a very sad time for Reeva and her mother. Logan felt guilty not being their for his father so he wanted to help out Reeva's parents when her dad became ill. I liked the ending very much. I would recommend Tempted to others.
A really good and fast read. I liked that there was an actual story to this. It just wasn't love at first sight and sex. There's a back story and things slowly get where they need to be. I really like Logan's character. He was sweet with helping out and just seemed liked a good guy. I wish the ending was longer but still a good read.
it's a short sweet story, Could have been longer. It's to the point, about growing up, making amends and falling in love. I think the plot is a great one, I would have liked to have seen more character development and time to develop a relationship.
Another great read from Kayla white .. it's true when they say it's always the one you least expect .. Reeva's father dies and the last person she expected to see was Logan .. can dreams from the past really come true .. need to read and find out for sure
This was a fast-moving story, requiring the reader to understand the present while catching up quickly with the past. I enjoyed it, though, but seriously wished it was longer, or that an epilogue further into the future was written.
I voluntarily read & reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
An excellent story! It started off a little rocky for me, but the drive to the HEA makes all worthwhile. Grab your copy today...you'll be glad you did. ❤️
There wasn’t enough of a story for me to fall in love with this story. It was finished in the blink of an eye. I wanted to see more of Reeva and Logan as a couple. I wanted Reeva to get rid of Ellis instantly. He was a user and a bad egg. I wish I could say that I enjoyed this book but there wasn’t enough of it. I didn’t hate or dislike the book either; It’s just had to have an opinion on something that was over so quickly. Tempted is a super quick and easy romance. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and is an ok read.
After the death of her father, Reeva comes face to face with her old crush at the funeral. Soon discovering that Logan has been helping her family out for a while. As Reeva tries to spend more time with her grieving mother she is pushed to spend time with Logan. Will Reeva and Logan give in to their attraction?
I enjoyed it. It was fun, sweet, and enjoyable. Someone gets into your heart and you don't realize it till later on. And you get older and things get more interesting. When you least expect it. I recommend it. i was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.
I give this book 5 stars. I whole heartedly recommend this book. I couldn't put it down. The storyline between Logan and Reeva was great to read. I recommend this book. It is a short story.
It was soooo sweet. I like it even more than I like Guarded. It was sooo sweet. I really like it. It's a quick short story, there's instalove and all of that. But he was so sweet and calm. Not possessive, aggressive or anything like that. I frankly love it.
This book was had elements of sadness, revelation, and love. It was a fast paced read. The characters were sweet small town folk, and the chemistry was strong.
