“The door is opening for you, Brie. And now it’s your time to walk through it. You have to find a way, dear sister. And you have to do it fast…”

Brie has finally married Adryan. She’s finally made it to the High Tower. And now, there’s nothing to do but complete her mission.

Surrounded by enemies, she soon finds that she has very few friends in her new home. And within a single day of arriving, she’s facing tests of her new powers that will make or break the mission.

As tensions begin to boil over in both Outer, and Inner, Haven, events transpire that might just make her job even harder. And with no one else to help, it’s down to her, and her new husband, to find a way to the summit.

The race is on…

Note: This book ends on a cliffhanger

This series has a good story, and I liked the characters. My only issue, and this continued through all 10 books, is the repetitiveness of all the statements. I can only read "I hate him" (in different words or the same, doesn't matter) so many times before I am sick of hearing it. So, in the later books, I found that I could spot another paragraph that would summarize the same feelings again and I was skipping paragraphs because it was just text with nothing actually happening. The character's inner dialogue was not that important in the story... which brings me to think that this might be nit-picky and maybe this was just a younger reading level (a teen might need these things spelled out for them). However, I would not want my young child reading about the wars, because of the (very well done) descriptions of blood and gore. So, good reads, they drew me in and kept me reading, but I could have used less repetition over the known info and known feelings.

I think the trope is really interesting. I would love to know what happens, but I feel like the story is too stretched out over too many books. I got to like the 4th book I’m the series until I got tired of the stringing me along. I really like the characters and all that, but after the first two books it seems like nothing is really happening, cliffhangers and all that jazz. I still want to know what happens; might continue later on.

Wow! Each book in this series just gets better and better. Assassin is no exception. If I was a nail biter, they'd be down to the quick after this book! Packed with tension, a hint of a budding romance and fraught with danger at every turn of the page, Assassin is a great read! I fall more in love with the characters in every book in this series. Brie is awesome!

I have the omnibus edition of this series so will just that this installment furthers Brie's mission in the Savant world of logic and little emotion, and yet they still want power and control over everyone - has to be an emotional drive there somewhere...they are certainly ruthless.

An enjoyable fast-paced read, although quite short.

Recommended.

This is an amazing story, it draws you deeper in the plots that savants and Brie are plotting. You want to read it to the end to see if she succeeds or not. The story drags you through this adventure, unable to stop you from finding out what comes next.

Interesting series

Good story but it is easy to tell what is going to happen. I have enjoyed the series so far and am looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Proof reading wasn't perfect in this book. Still a very enjoyable book.

Amazing

I've had the first of this series waiting for over a month to be started. Once I did I couldn't be stopped. This series keeps you enthralled. I can't read it fast enough yet I know that if I do I'll finish entirely too quick. Great series so far.

The best so far!

These keep getting better and better! Great twists you don't see coming! I look forward to finishing the series. Very few grammar issues (as in the previous books) in this one.

This one was a bit more predictable in its arc, although it had some pleasant twists that kept the reader engaged. I've liked earlier books in the series better, but I'm still anxious to see what happens next.

Omg!! Talk about the worst cliffhanger. Brie finally comes face to face with Cromwell. Without giving anything away, I can’t believe what has happened to get her to this point!! Love this series!!

Excellent!

I love this story! Only wish they'd make it into a movie. It's fast moving, entertaining, and everything I love in a book.

I love the story line in this 11 book series, but finding it hard to thoroughly enjoy them with so many typos (kindle edition?)

Ohmywow

Brie is very strong. She rolls with punches, she makes plans, and she always moves toward her goal. I still feel like she's being manipulated by both sides. That ending!

Oh well, somehow I knew what was going to happen.
I really need to know what is going to happen to Brie!
Cromwell doesn't want to kill her, but why? He has her there, he could pull the trigger, but his plans are others. So now what? Is Brie going to be able to escape? Will she be manipulated? Is someone's going to die? I need book 5 right now!

Intense

And it leaves us as promised: dangling from a cliff... So intense that I can't wait to see what happens. Thankfully the next book is out already. I know it's not for a ways, but I am really hoping for a happy ending

Amazing

This book had me completely intrigued. Throughout the obstacles and challenges Brie faces, I'm fascinated, swiftly reading, eager to learn more. I definitely recommend this series to anyone who likes feeling like they are part of a thrilling, page-turner.

Slow and steady

This book sets the scene and builds up to Brie setting her task in motion. The story was a bit slow at times but what a cliff hanger ending.
