When an old document is found describing the locations of four terrible weapons that, when combined, will have the power to end the world, Matt Drake and his team are plunged into an incredible non-stop archaeological adventure.
From Africa to Asia, Europe and America, they follow the clues to the graves of the Four Horsemen – War, Conquest, Famine and Death, discovering the tomb of Attila the Hun and following in the footsteps of Genghis Kahn. The Four Horsemen reveal the four weapons – new versions of ancient, apocalyptical disasters. And worse, the team find they are racing against other competing nations to find the weapons first.
As they struggle to stay one step ahead; as they delve deeper into their interpersonal relationships, a new enemy is revealed. . . an enemy from within. America is not happy with the SPEAR team and have issued an order to end their contract. SEAL team 7 is on the way.
The Four Corners of the Earth combines all the trademarks of a rollicking Matt Drake adventure, with a new twist of danger from a direction they could never have predicted.

The Four Corners of the Earth (Matt Drake Book 16) - a review by Rosemary Kenny
A gentler pace of action, that some might deem rather unappealing, finds some of the SPEAR Team at odds in their personal lives and chafing at the bit with their enforced, boring 'ordinary' lives, while they wait to spring into action once more, is the tone of David Leadbeater's 16th Matt Drake novel, The Four Corners of the Earth. Naturally this state of affairs doesn't last long and they're soon scouring the globe for eponymous, legendary four Corners, following a series of 'breadcrumbs' - clues to the location of another ancient tomb and the deadly artefact within. First problem is ID-ing the whereabouts of the four tombs of heroes and villains of the past - Hannibal, Attila the Hun, Genghis Khan and Geronimo - each on different continents! What happens when the terrorists reveal the next stage of their plot? Are there only 4 tombs or more? Read The Four Corners of the Earth, (Matt Drake Book 16), by David Leadbeater to find out!

To save the world is one thing this time they only just saved themselves
The 4 horses of the acropolis together means the death of the world Drake and the group have now once again to solve the problem and save humanity and it seems like the nazi still intended world domination regardless they lost WW11 this story sends them to the four corners of the world to the graves of history to find the artefacts before anyone else could use them as a weapon. Fast crazy near death there still is a twist to this book and good banter I highly recommend this book
Another great read by David Leadbeater and another exciting story about Matt Drake and the SPEAR team, it was very intense and full on! Can't wait for the next installment to see what happens!!
I do not like to l eave notes, but enorder to to move along I feel cometed to do something. I for one would like to leave notes if I felt one was needed. Not brcause someone made it Impossible to move on.
I love the great blend of history, interesting characters and great adventure. So glad I didn't start reading them till recently,so I can go right on to the next one.
Highly entertaining for a light read, good story flow albeit compressed in some parts, the quality and polish of these books keeps improving and I find myself immediately reaching for the next one. It’s great the way the author has placed such an oppositely polarised Group of characters but gently woven them into an effective and cohesive team
Count on Leadbeater to keep the action going and readers panting for more. This 16th book of the Matt Drake series continues the exciting worldwide adventures of the Special Ops group SPEAR. Great fun.
I love these books I only started reading them a couple of months ago and I'm hooked .. I've read the Alicia Myles books too love how they intertwine with matt drakes books...can't wait for no 17 ... And the new series
The SPEAR team return on the hunt for the four horseman and there buried secrets left by a secret Nazi group. This book continues straight after the last adventure and has the team uneasy about the future of SPEAR. This is a non stop adventure as the team rush around the four corners of the world to stop a new destructive weapon falling into the wrong hands, not knowing who they can trust apart from each other.
Really good series...all the characters and their amazing personalities. What brave people do for us everyday, that we never know. Thank you to them and the author.
Well David you've certainly done it again, I'm totally exhausted after this roller coaster and what an ending......David Leadbeater is one of my favourite authors and fast becoming linked with the likes of Cussler and co. Keep up the great work David and thank you
