Disappointing nosedive from first in series
I liked the humor, characters and the sizzling passion of author's previous book so I was interested in reading the series.
This story started fairly well. I was interested in Daniel and Eva and looking forward to how their romance would develop. I anticipated some bawdy yet funny moments as well as steamy romance with a lot of sexual tension. I anticipated wrongly.
·Previous book- had humorous scenes where unmarried ladies scandalously discussed mysteries of men and sexual relations.
·This book- scenes where seemingly modern teens talked about sex using raunchy words.
·Previous book- steamy romance where couple falls in love quickly, but still had plenty of enticing tension.
·This book- plenty of steam, even more explicit language, little tension and no real romantic relationship.
The modern-day dialogue was even more prolific in comparison and editing errors were bad.
The worst was the downright juvenile tone of the story.
Disappointing since the first book really had promise for progressively interesting series.
(I didn't bother to read the last ten pages )
