Initially, I gave this one a high rating. Beautiful photographs of almost every recipe, clear instructions, multiple recipes bookmarked to try, looked easily adaptable for family allergies. However, I've now tried two of the recipes and have not had stellar results. The first one was cornbread...didn't rise as much as the photo but tasted fine. Not the best cornbread I've ever eaten, but nice. Today I tried the gingerbread, only substituting egg replacer, and the cake fell and stuck to the pan. Might indicate that the recipes don't adapt well to substituting allergy friendly ingredients. Debating about trying any more recipes before returning to the library. Hope others have better luck!
I love my old bundt pan. Traditionally, I use it for rum cakes. So, when this cookbook came into the store, I was so excited. I can't wait to try some of the recipes in this book. They look extremely yummy and easy to make.
