Withdrawn-Novella (Prequel to Reckless Abandonment )
I never wanted to move here. It was never supposed to be part of the plan. Once my father passed away, his absence left my mother and I with limited options, so here we are.
I would have been content just going through the motions, pretending I'm happy here and feeling anything but.
Until I meet my new neighbor, Brynn, and all that goes out the window. With light blonde hair, striking ocean-blue eyes, and skin pale as snow, she is everything good and light and innocent.
She is hope.
Hope for something better.
Hope for something more.
Hope that there is a good life for both of us beyond the Happy Endings Resort.

This is a beautifully written story with many touching issues. This novella went to fast for me where I know I will be anxiously waiting for more! You will feel connected to the characters in this book...might I add bring the tissues!

This is a novella so it is a pretty fast read. The characters grab you & the story holds on to you throughout. You might want to have a tissue or 200 with you. Maybe I'm super emotional but I cried a little. It is such a great read and I must say I think it is going to be hanging on to me for a while. K. Piston has out done herself with this one.

This is a Novella so it's a quick read but that doesn't mean it's lacking in feels or anything for that matter. I was drawn in from the very first word right until the last. The writing is beautifully done, characters are well developed and the plot is amazing. I had to take a few days after I finished this book to let it all sink in before I could put my thoughts into writing. I have read all of this authors work and this is truly her best yet. I cannot wait until for the rest of this story. Grab this book now you won't regret it.

This novella was fast paced and engaging from the prologue to the ending. The novella gives readers insight into the past and what leads up to the prologue and a little into the present day. I can't wait for the continuation of Ari's story.

Withdrawn is a prequel novella that takes you to the beginning of the relationships between Cohen, Brynn and Ariana. It is very emotional and will tug on your heartstrings. Once I started to read this book I didn't want to put it down until I got to the end.
As kids, Cohen befriends Brynn and soon the two of them at inseparable and become best friends, Arianna (Brynn's sister) always seems to keep herself on the outside of the friendship and keeps herself to herself. As they grow older, the dynamics change between the 3 of them and the relationships alter.
I would definitely say that this is a must read story. It is well written and the characters are well developed. I cannot wait to read more from this author and find out what happens to Ariana <3

OMG!!!! I need to know what comes next for Ariana & Cohen!!!
This short introduction to these characters was so good!!! I was hooked from the very beginning and did not want to put this book down!!! K. Pinson has started a story that will lead you on an emotional roller coaster from the very beginning!!! I LOVED LOVED LOVED this story!!!
K. Pinson hit on some very serious issues in this book and did it so well!!! She was very sensitive to the seriousness of the subject matter. I felt like I was reading about people that I actually knew and not made up characters. I cannot to read what comes next for these two souls!!!

THIS FREAKING BOOK!!!
Omg okay, I need to hakuna my Bookworm now, she's scratching the walls now.
Do you ever feel like characters bleed in front of you? That's how I felt while I read this, every single pain, anguish and disappointment from every character was so palpable I had to make sure it wasn't real.
Delicious vocabulary, rich, varied prose! I loved it. The plot is simply amazing, amazing, so well thought and you can tell K put every fiber of her heart and every neurocell in her brain for this one.
Stunning work!!! And even tho I kinda hate handcliffs, I still love this book!

WTAF? Some people don't know what Happily Ever After means. How are we supposed to care about a guy that tells the FMC that he loves her and then he immediately leaves her and proceeds to have sex with a bunch of other women? I don't care that he was grieving. And another cliffhanger without a book to follow? I get it if authors don't continue on writing but at least tie up loose ends FFS

I found this book interesting and easy to read.
There were multiple errors I found throughout, and that is why I'm giving Withdrawn 4 stars, instead of 5.
I kinda loved Cohen, kinda wanted to thrust punch him. Especially towards the end. He's a whole lot of pot calling a kettle black.

K. Pinson is back and better than ever! This story was fantastic! It had all of the raw passion and emotion that has you flipping the pages so quick you get papercuts! I can't wait to get more from this author!

Ok
I hope this is one of this authors first books. She has potential and ALOT of room to grow. It would be a good story if it wasn't for the elementary writing the author uses. It doesn't really flow well. I felt like I was listening to a child. Keep at it and don't give up!!

I'm so glad that this is only a prequel and that we'll be getting more of this story! These characters....Cohen, Brynn, Ariana. There is such a depth to them--their stories will certainly intrigue you and have you yearning for more. K. Pinson has created a deep, dark tale that will leave you feeling breathless.
I enjoyed the foundation the author laid out for us, starting out as kids and following them up through adulthood. I'm thankful that Brynn and Ariana had Cohen in their life while growing up. I couldn't imagine them not having someone and wonder how much more involved their situations would have turned out.
I will say if you're a fan of deep, and I mean very emotionally deep, stories, you should definitely check this one out. The writing is unique and certainly gives you a different take on things we take for granted everyday.

Withdrawn is a very in depth novella. For such a short book, it packs quite a wallop. It was fast paced and easy to follow but deeply engaging in it's depth.
The characters are well developed and I was anything but withdrawn from Cohen, Brynn, Ariana.
Withdrawn is a prequel short story and gives real insight into the past as well as the present with these characters while leaving you yearning for more.
This is a deeply moving tale that perfectly sets the stage for the continuation of the story and for those who are into moving books that will firmly grab your heart strings, it's not to be missed.
I give you fair warning though... you'll need Kleenex!
