به نسبت کتاب چای با وینیکات این کتاب اصلا دوست داشتنی نبود. وقفه‌های بین گفت‌وگوها اعصاب‌خرد کن بود، شخصیت فروید هم... خب فکر نمی‌کنم هیچکس در طول این سال‌ها فروید رو به عنوان کاراکتری دوست‌داشتنی در نظر گرفته باشه.
و از نظر من بزرگترین ایراد کتاب این بود که برخلاف چای با وینیکات که زندگی وینیکات تا زمان مرگش رو پوشش داده بود این کتاب چندین سال قبل از مرگ فروید تمام شد و تقریبا خیلی از کار‌های تاثیرگذار اواخر عمرش از قلم افتاد. صحبت‌ها هم بیشتر از اینکه حول نظریات و آثار فروید باشه درباره زندگی شخصی و روابط شخصی و حرفه‌ایش بود.
البته از منظر بیوگرافی چیزی کم نداشت (جز همان چند سال پایانی زندگی فروید) و سیر کلی روایت کم و بیش مشابه جلسه درمان روانکاوی بود و نویسنده خیلی خوب یک سری مفاهیم درمانی را با مثال در گفت‌وگوهایش نشان داده بود ولی برای من که انتظار داشتم با خواندن این کتاب مفاهیم کلیدی و اولیه نظریات فروید دستگیرم شود ناامید کننده بود.

کتاب کسل کننده بود. خب من رشته ام مرتبطه و فک میکردم این کتاب باید خیلی جذاب تر باشه...
ولی متاسفانه پرداخت بیش از حد به موضوعات حاشیه ای و وقفه های طولانی جهت صرف قهوه... 😏 خب دیگه ...

راستش من از این کتاب توقع بیشتری داشتم و خیلی ارتباط نگرفتم. با اینکه فضا سازی جالبی داشت و متن روون بود طوریکه حس میکردم واقعا توی کافه نشستم و دارم با فروید صحبت میکنم، اما انتظار داشتم یه جور گفت‌وگوی عمیق و پرکشش با فروید باشه و یکم موضوعات مهم تر مطرح بشه و نمیدونم چرا وقتی نویسنده قلمش انقد خوبه به این توجه نکرده که میتونسته موضوعاتی رو پوشش بده که بدرد خواننده بخوره و مطالب اضافه تر رو از زندگینامه حذف کنه و اینجوری سراسر عمر فروید رو پوشش بده بجای اینکه کلا سالهای آخر و مهم تر رو نادیده بگیره.

کلا فقط تنها نکته‌ی مثبتش اینه که زبانش ساده‌ست و برای کسی که هیچ آشنایی با فروید نداره، شروع بدی نیست. اما برای من زیادی سطحی بود. انگار از هر موضوع فقط سرش رو لمس می‌کرد و زود می‌رفت سراغ بعدی، بدون اینکه مجال بده من درگیرش بشم یا حس کنم دارم چیزی تازه یاد می‌گیرم.از جزییات مسائلی که مطرح کردنش کمکی به خواننده نمیکرد هم زیادی صحبت شد.

به‌طور کلی، کتاب برام تجربه‌ی خاص یا هیجان‌انگیزی نداشت و سر همین قضیه بیشتر از یه تایمی نمیتونستم پاش بشینم. نه اون‌قدر عمیق بود که به فکر فرو ببره، نه اون‌قدر جذاب که سرگرم‌کننده باشه. فقط سه تا از فصلاش رو دوست داشتم جاهایی که از شروع شکل گیری عقیده های فروید گفت و درباره هیستریا بحث شد.
درکل حس می‌کنم می‌تونست خیلی بهتر باشه، مخصوصاً وقتی پای شخصیتی مثل فروید وسطه✨

کتاب تموم شد
تقریبا توی ۵ روز خوندمش
اونقدر هیجان انگیز نبود وبی ارزش خوندن داشت
جذاب تدین نکته اش برام این بود که فروید رو نه بت کرده بود نه تحقیر.کاملا نشون داد فروید هم مثل همه ی ماها بوده با پستی بلندی های اخلاقی ولی فکری پیشتاز

What a fun and playful way to get to know a historical figure! While it’s clear the Kahr has much love and appreciation for Freud, he still calls him out on some inconsistencies and some of the somewhat disturbing things he did as he was working to get to “the talking cure”.

Kahr gets into the weeds sometimes, which as a non Freud scholar, I found a little tough to get through, but I also understand that this is his way of preserving the obsessive (his, and fictional Freud’s words lol) amount of information he has collected over his many, many decades of studying his work.

I appreciated the epilogue which one *could* see as name drop central…except that’s kinda what you’re doing when you are a historian going for primary sources. The breadth and amount of interviews he has done over time is honestly a little staggering, and in this way, I suppose I kinda trusted that if ANYONE was gonna resurrect Freud and write from his POV now, it would be him.

I did not realize this was book one of two, though! I eagerly await their second meeting…

The delicious cherry on top are the illustrations by Alison Bechdel, who I felt captured him as a regular man, as opposed to a caricature, at the beginning of each “chapter”.

Fun little book that engages a resurrected Freud in conversation about his life and ideas. At times repetitive and somewhat indulgent, nevertheless there is great insight and factual tidbits presented in a charming and readable fashion. Awaiting part 2!

«شرحی بر زندگی فروید»
داستان رمان گونه نیست و فقط شرح وقایع ان دوران است، من چای با فروید را بیشتر پیشنهاد میکنم؛ از جهت سیر داستانیی کشش بیشتری داشت
و به همین جهت، همزیست پنداری عمیق تری با فروید و‌هم عصرانش احساس کردم!
و لَختی در وین به سر بردم👒

جذاب نبود به چند دلیل:
به نظرم مطالبی که تو کتاب آورده شده آنچنان ارزش زیادی ندارن و چیز مفیدی به خواننده ای که بدنبال آشنایی با فروید و نظریات اونه اضافه نمی کنه.
کل دوره زندگی فروید و روابطش با افرادی مثل آدلر و یونگ رو پوشش نمی‌ده.
برخلاف کتاب چای با وینیکات که برت کار به زیبایی برخی از نظریات وینیکات رو توضیح داده بود ، داخل این کتاب همچین چیزی رو مشاهده نمی کنیم.
بعضی جاها مخصوصا اواسط، داستان و گفتگو فروید و کار کسل کننده میشه.
به طور کلی کتاب بدی نیست و اگه از دوستداران فروید و روانکاوی باشید و به این علاقه مند باشد که فروید چجوری روانکاوی رو بوجود آورد و تاریخچه این رشته چیه میتونه انتخاب مناسبی برای خوندن باشه.

En una deliciosa conversación , el autor se encuentra con Freud, y mientras toman café y hablan sobre la importancia de los cafés vieneses como lugares de encuentro de amigos, de lectura, de creación artística, literaria, científica , surgen aspectos de la vida de Freud desde sus inicios hasta la creación del psicoanálisis
No alcanzan a ver vida y obra de Freud completa, llegan solo a la Interpretación de los sueños, prometen un próximo encuentro, una segunda parte...o más ?
Pero en lo que conversan descubrimos o reconocemos la importancia de su trabajo y la diferencia entre no escuchar a los pacientes en los hospitales psiquiátricos hasta la importancia del encuentro privado y significativo que ofrece Freud, de la escucha y palabra, de la renuncia a la bata médica y su significado, del encuadre inspirado en su época de estudio, del primer diván
Su compromiso con las confidencias que le fueron confiadas por aquellos de quienes fue testigo , su malestar por el interés que provoca su vida privada y la de sus pacientes , su sorpresa por los fríos consultorios actuales comparados con su cálido y atiborrado consultorio, su malestar con la época actual respecto a las modas y sorpresa y satisfacción ante la importancia del psicoanálisis y su figura
No solo deja un sabor dulce, sino que anima a leer y releer a Freud y a visitar los cafés de Vienna!
