The Commando

Vincent Last, once a member of the UK’s elite SBS, now a salvage diver working off the coast of Italy.   Far from his home and wife back in Wales, Vince is trying to make an honest living when his violent past comes calling and the new life he’s built is threatened.

The Tycoon

Sir Leslie Townes, wealthy oil magnate, has set his sights on the untapped offshore oil riches of a poor West African nation.  Only one problem, a competitor has acquired the rights to drill.

The Mission

Using his underwater demolition skills, Vince must sink an oil rig being hauled by an ocean going tug up the African coast.  Vince can’t let violent storms, blood thirsty pirates or the tug’s tyrannical first officer stop him.  If he fails, he dies.  And so does his wife.

It's the usual story of a former SBS guy, now a salvage diver, forced to undertake a mission to blow up a rival company's oil rig so that the villain can get oil fields and reap the windfall profits.

He's got to figure out how to get out from under, save his wife, save his life, and put the kibosh on the evil CEO.

Not bad, but lacks a certain flair.

Action adventure with diving and foreign travel. Liked the "at sea" conditions and "adapting to over come" adversity. Very entertaining book kept my interest throughout .

Believable scenarios and gun battles aboard close quarter ships. The military trained him to be Last man standing, Greedy powers that be evil, messed with the wrong family.

This was a new author for me and I thoroughly enjoyed being introduced to the main character, Vincent Last. The book was hard to put down and flowed very nicely. I look forward to the next book. A well deserved 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Promising writer.

Good adventure. Predictable out come. Fast read. Good descriptions of his caricatures. He was able to keep me reading wondering what was coming next. Even though you had a good idea of were the story was going.

Fast moving tale.

This is a good read. It moved a great pace, yet the author manages to still include lots of details that make the story come alive.

The story line was excellent.
Just a few typos but who's counting when in the grip of a great read.
The characters believable.
Will recommend to my fellow ex-Bootneck oppos.

I thought that this was a pretty good read. It was a fairly standard action story, but was well paced and well executed.
