This is one of the best financial books for Canadians that I have read. I felt that the ‘saving’ part (budgeting, earning, spending below means) was short. I was more interested in the ‘investing’ part of this book. It is a very strong part of the book with the best explanations and help I’ve gotten thus far. I’ve read several financial books and listen to podcasts regarding finances and economics. I have a good foundation of knowledge to do well financially. I found that I learned a lot from this book still. For example, I should max out US ETF and dividends in my TFSA because of domestic tax breaks offer some protection to Canadian ETF dividends. This book explained dividends to spark some interest. The book also explained insurance policies better than any book that I’ve read. Insurance is to cover a loss rather than creating a wealth. It is a very simple but powerful perspective to get past the emotional marketing of insurance policies. Great book that will help my financial journey of building wealth. I’m glad I can say that for this book.
