My name is Tegan Zander, and I like to… bare myself. Yes, you read that right. It’s not just me I want everyone to see, but also the lucky person I’m with at the moment. No, I don’t go around whipping out my junk and pulling up skirts to flash all the Joe Blows around. Give me some credit; I’m a bit more discreet than that. Barely. No, I like to be watched while fucking. I like knowing someone else is in the room, getting off on what my partner and I are doing. This is my sexual vice, and I fucking love it.
What I don’t do is relationships. I have too much fun in my bachelor life. I don’t want to be tied down to one woman when there are still so many out there to explore.
Willow Bennett was just a woman I helped on the side of the road. Nothing more, nothing less, even if her hot little body demanded attention from mine. I did my good deed, kissed those sweet lips, ground my jean-covered length against her softness, and left, expecting to never see her again.
But then, there she was, in her short skirt, tank top, and flip-flops, looking sexy as hell. She didn’t know it yet, but she was my next plaything. I was going to expose her along with me. I was going to show her just how good it could be if she lost her inhibitions and let me put her on display.
I don’t do relationships, but with this girl, I just might… expose my heart to her.

I like this cover. A good representation of the hero. Fabulous composition. Unique title work. I would have probably used a lighter color for the title because it is really hard to see the series name over the darkness of his jacket. All in all though a pretty decent cover job.
I'll be honest I wasn't sure about this one. That first chapter will hit you in the gut and isn't something I enjoy reading about, but I am glad I stuck it out because I ended up rather enjoying this one.
I found it to be well written and well paced. The plot was interesting and unique. The sex scenes were smokin' and plentiful. There was no OW or OM drama. No angst to speak of. An interesting array of secondary characters. Two likable main characters. All wrapped up with a six months in the future epilogue. I would have liked to have seen even further into the future, but I assume that some of the secondary characters will get their own books at some point and we will then get to see more of this couple in those books.
All in all, I was pleasantly surprised by this one and look forward to reading the next in the series.
SAFE WITH EXCEPTIONS or not safe if you don’t like sharing even if it was only a little bit of it
Hero is into exhibitionism and I fucking like that shit. Heroine had never done anything public other than sex at a pool at midnight when no one was around but she discovers with him that she enjoys very much being watched.
No mention of sex with other people after meeting.
They met one day, they kiss and a week later they see each other again. She was having a dry spell before him so it’s clear she hadn’t have after meeting him. He usually see his friends at the club three or four times a week and there isn’t anything said about the one week after they meet if he fucked someone. To keep my mind in piece I choose to think there wasn’t anyone.
Before he saw her again one week after they saw each other for the first time and their little making out session, he lust at her friend, this is before the heroine arrives. I didn’t like it anyway. He hit on her but she is married so she cuts him off. Heroine arrives and he is hard just by looking at her but before that his dick had already took notice of her friend. I could overcome it because heroine is not blind and also talks about the looks of other man, but never mention being aroused because of it. She simple states they are handsome.
“She’s gorgeous and my dick takes notice.” Him about her friend.
He invited Nathan to watch their first time together and heroine is also aroused by it. She sucks Nathan but Tegan stoped him from coming in her mouth, something he has never done before. This was the only time they did something with other person, other than having people watching them.
They have sex in public, like at some alley and people watch it, I liked it.
I don’t like how he is way more experienced than her, she has never done anal sex and it’s obviously he had already done it. He is the first guy that manages to make her come with only penetration, a 26 years old woman who states living to have sex never manages to find a man who cared enough about her orgasming without having her playing with herself. I hate that, why the girl can’t have tons of awesome sex before the hero? It pissed me off
He had great sex before her and when he was younger he was really reckless to the point of really fucking people without caring about laws.
She has a brother that used to date her best friend and he cheated, I love that the friend broke up and didn’t find excuses to his behavior. He was having drinking and drugs problems but she chose to cheat and he also chose to start using so she move on with her life, she met a great man, got married and had a beautiful kid. YEY there is only one thing a person can do after being cheating: move the fuck on
The was one information about the third book that I fucking hate, Nathan had been watching his heroine for about a year, but he is still having an active sex life with his friends and apparently the heroine never brings guys home, he watches her having sex with herself. This passed the fuck out of me because I like my heroines to fuck man, I was dying to read the third book, it was actually the reason I started this series, to read about a hero watching the heroine fucking other guys.
“She rolls her eyes and grabs her phone off the table, flipping it over and looking at the screen before putting it back down. “Probably not. It’s been what? A year now? I think he’ll be content to just watch her for the rest of his life.” I tend to agree. Nathan’s sexual vice might be watching people performing sexual acts, but it’s that particular woman he enjoys watching the most. According to Nathan, she never brings another guy home, but she’s definitely very much into sex. She just likes having it with herself, or rather her fingers or vibrators.”
Triggers: - child abuse When he was 6 until he was 8 mother let men abuse him, he was raped, I fucking hated his mother. His mother was raped by her own brother for six months when she was seven years old. I was very sad hearing that but nothing, I repeat, nothing will make me have empathy for a mother who lets man abuse his kid, or any adult who lets a kid being abused. Nothing justifies her actions and I was gladly she died alone. I feel sorry for the kid she was when she was raped, I feel sorry for the woman she was when it happened again, I feel hate and disgust for the human being that didn’t do anything do avoid her kid to suffer the same she had suffered, or even worst because he was raped for years. Fucking bitch - her brother is a drug addicted

Oh my word, why have I never read this author before? And oh my goodness, what a steamy book this is. If I had any complaints it's that there wasn't enough naughty scenes (even though there are quite a few) mainly because a darn good plot got in the way ;)
There are warnings on this book that you do need to heed as it deals with quite a lot of difficult/taboo issues.
This book is definitely on the NSFW list, and boy will it get you hot under the collar, but neither is it one of those sleazy books that is really just glorified porn. This book had a good plot with some interesting twists and turns and all loose ends are nicely tied up by the end of the book. Willow AND Tegan both have their own 'story' which interweave with their developing relationship. I really liked both main characters and their friends, all of whom were believable, well written and likeable. The chemistry between Willow and Tegan is so hot and, unless you are exhibitionists too, you will need to read some scenes in a more private location!
As already stated the book doesn't rely on the shock tactic of covering a taboo subject (sex in public). Willow and Tegan meet when she is trying to escape from a threat and he is on the way home from visiting someone who had caused him a lot of pain and hurt as a child. These two issues form part of a gripping plot that moves along with good pace and was never dull or predictable. I found the author's style of writing to be smooth and very easy to read and it was one of those books that I just didn't want to put down until I had finished it (although at 1 am in the morning I did admit defeat).
I will definitely be reading more work by this author.
We are starting off by staying, this is a first time author for us, and we thoroughly enjoyed our first read by her. I have read a lot of erotica books but, not one that dealt with issues of sexual addictions, so this plot was something new for us and a nice change to read something different.
I really enjoyed the characters that I read about. Not only that, but I thought they were fun, humorous, had amazing sexual chemistry and both had a great group of friends, adding even more humor to the story that had a more serious story line. I loved all the side characters as well as some of those characters dealt with the same issues as Tegan did whether it was from sexual abusive to a sexual addition. They were all supportive of one another and open about their own additions making it easy to talk among themselves, I liked that they had an ear to bend when one needed one as they understood what they were going through and could relate.
OMG from the very first pages this couple started setting the pages on fire making it a super hot read. I never really expected this couple to hook up and stay that way. I expected a one-night stand and nothing more, due to the demands and needs that Tegan needed to find sexual gratification. Tegan was into voyeurism and public displays when having sex, and this was something he needed to do in order to find fulfillment. Now, how do you find a partner into the same kind of sex you are?
I always pick a favorite character and this time around it was a really tough choice, but I am going to pick Tegan. I picked him because he was just and fun and love able guy but, the main reason is I was attracted to him because he was very open about his addiction and his needs and also with his childhood sexual abuse. Tegan certainly had hang-ups about sex but, the abuse itself never broke him, he just learned to deal with it and moved on. Another reason is that he continued to see to his dying mother, even though it was her that lead to the abuse to happen in the first place. My heart went out to Tegan as I could not even fathom the kind of emotions he must have been experiencing just by being in the same room with his mother. The author did an amazing job allowing you to experience all these emotions as well, creating heartbreak for us too. This man was sexy as hell. He definitely made a girl's panties wet just by looking at you. Tegan just dripped with sex appeal. OMG ! Can't you say he set fire to my blood as well ! I loved his playful banter. I loved how he pushed the limits with Willow without putting her in danger. Furthermore, I love how he found himself possessive of Willow, a first for him, and how uncomfortable it made him feel. It was nice seeing him out of his comfort zone. Willow actually made him feel things without just going through the motions.
I loved Willow as well. I really liked the fact that this couple had amazing chemistry together and that Willow was willing to push the limits as well. Not only that, but I liked that fact that she was open-minded. Likewise, I like that fact that she didn't run off as soon as she heard what sexual kinks Tegan had, and was willing to at least try new things. I think that Willow needed someone like Tegan to push her out of her own sexual comfort zone, and by doing so, she was experiencing the best sex of her life. Some of Tegan's and Willow's sexual encounters set flames to the pages, along with scorching the sheets as well. I love how this couple made sex fun and exciting as well as adventurous. They were such a cute couple together.
My favorite scenes would have to be those that happened at Blackie's. I really think this bar had a helping hand in their relationship as they were able to explore each other in a safe environment along with getting off on the need for voyeurism as the bar tended to attract those with similar tastes. I especially loved that single unexpected moment when he asked her to be his. What an unexpected twist that had that OMG factor that I never saw coming. It had me laughing out loud. Did he really just do that ? For real?
Overall, one super hot read. Can you say fanning myself more than once? I loved all the character's as well, with their wacky personalities adding that bit of extra humor to the story. I loved the plot and those unexpected twists and turns that occurred. Not only that, but I enjoyed seeing new relationships foraged as well as putting ghosts to rest. Likewise, I loved that both of the main character's had amazing personalities, which made me even more drawn to them and able to connect with them. A compelling read that kept your interest and blood pressure up from the couple's very first encounter, along with several of those unexpected OMG moments. I loved this story from beginning to end.
Recommend read to all looking forward to reading this first book in its series. This book goes into the keeper pile to re-read again and again. A well done, delightful story.
Arc provided from author for an honest review, and we are giving this story 5 stars. Well done
I really enjoyed reading this one! Liked that the conflicts were never between the couple and that they were basically together from the beginning suporting each other throughout the shit that was happenning. Besides they were a really sexy couple 🙈
What a fantastic story-it literally grabs you and keeps you hooked until the very end. The very chemistry between Willow and Tegan is unbelievable. Their sexual chemistry is off the chain HOT!! Tegan is an exhibitionist and loves people to watch him having sex. He doesn't “do relationships” and is a considered to be a player when it comes to women. All that changes when he meets Willow. He cannot get her out of his thoughts, out of his mind, just cannot get HER out of his anything. He finds himself drawn to her sweetness like a moth would be drawn to the flame. She makes him want to be a better person, makes him want to give up one night stands with faceless women and settle down with her . But how can a man who intitally only saw Willow as a means to an end ( notch in bedpost) make such a significant change in his behavior/thought pattern ? Will Tegan stay true to Willow or will he go back to his player ways and break Willow’s heart? This is a beautifully written story about how to fight your demons, and coming out on the other side. I loved Willow in this story- she was intelligent, smart and she didn’t run from Tegan. She gave as good as she got. She had some parts to her that had pain in her past. She knew not everything was black and white. She didn’t shy away from Tegan’s dark side and that is what made her perfect for alpha Tegan- for all of his protective, alphaness- there was this darkness and Willow was what he needed to help him. This is one of those books that has twists and turns—I loved the action, romance and angst in this book. I look forward to the next story in this series.
My rating: 4.7 stars **** "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
Zero stars anything not sex, five stars for the sex. There is way too much wrong with this book that I just don't have the desire to get into. I couldn't have cared less about the characters and basically skimmed anything that wasn't sex. This is triggery AF even though none of the issues are mine. Skim if you like exhibition, otherwise stay away.
Alex Grayson hooked me instantly when I stumbled upon Always Wanting... an amazing book that had me addicted cover to cover. Well on the heels of that, we have book two in the sexy Consumed series.
Bare Yourself was so good... and dare I say better than the first. Sexy. Intense. Consuming. Captivating. Addicting. Willow and Tegan blasted onto my kindle and stole a little piece of my heart along the way. I adored these two and found myself getting lost between the pages of their journey.
He's a bit... scandalous. You see our boy Tegan is somewhat of a playboy, never committing and keeping it loose, easy. He has a little, well actually huge quirk that's a bit taboo. He likes to be watched. He gets off on it, a lot.
Then a wrench is thrown into his plans... her. Willow. She's the one who is going to consume him.... heart, mind and soul. She's the one who is gonna make him cross lines. These are each going to have to bare themselves... all of it. Can they heal from the past for a beautiful forever?
Their chemistry is instant. Their passion is undeniable. Get ready for wet panties , lots of blushing, swooning, smirking, heartbreak, and all of the feels in the right ways.
I loved every moment of Tegan and Willow's story and am super excited for the next book in this series.
If you like your books erotic, intense, slightly angsty, and completely enthralling, then Alex Grayson is a must read.
This is the first book I read from Alex Grayson and I loved the writing style.
Bare Yourself is the second book in the Consumed series, but can be read as a standalone. I haven't read Always Wanting, but I know I will read it soon.
When I picked this book, the blurb picked my curiosity... and I wanted to see what would happen here. Well, I loved it. I loved the plot, all the consistencies in it, the characters are great, the sex scenes are scorching hot and arousing and now all I think is reading about all the other characters, that I'm sure each will have a book of their own. This series, and this book, is about sex addiction. Something that is not very mentioned in books, so that's a nice start to a different kind of story.
This is Tegan and Willow story. The first chapter is very hard to read, but absolutely important to the story. Don't let this keep you from reading, because this is not a dark read. So, Tegan's fetish is about being watched while having sex. He gets off on that. He doesn't always need it, but its something that gives him a lot of pleasure. Sex in public mostly... so as you can see this is a very HOT story! When he meets Willow, their connection is immediate. She's on the side of the road with a flat tire and he helps her. Later they meet again and well... you will want to read it!
★★★★.5 ~Ali Bare Yourself is a great read for anyone who likes their books with a bit of humor and a whole lot of sexy. Willow is a character that I think a lot of readers will be able to relate to and fully embrace the way that Tegan (yes, Tegan is a guy) pushed her sexually and helped her find herself and what she truly enjoyed. She is a feisty spitfire at the end of her rope looking to start over somewhere new. I enjoyed her wit and humor and felt her pain and desperation, turning quickly to get to her HEA. So many of the alpha male leads are possessive and unwilling to let anyone see their woman in a compromising sexual situation, however that is definitely not the case with Tegan. He is Alpha to the bone but I had a hard time with his need to share his intimacy with Willow to strangers. Not because it wasn't hot, trust me it was, but I had a hard time reconciling his “you're mine” stance with his need to have strangers watch. Tegan has overcome so much and something about Willow has him confiding in her. I felt this story had a lot of development and wasn't just sex for erotica sake. I thoroughly enjoy alternating first person writing which this was. The connection between Tegan and Willow was fun to watch develop through both their point of views. After reading this I will definitely give Grayson another try.
Bare Yourself is sexy and tempting. It may be taboo but it's my kind of wild fun. I think a lot of people have a slightly exhibitionist side. It's not always about the sex...it's about being seen. So skimpy bikinis...thongs...tiny dresses with it all hanging out...Tell me it's not for attention and power. Power over the direction a man's eyes go... Power of being desired.
It's heady and sexy. The power, the attention, the lust- they drive a need, a desire, fan the flames of lust. So Bare Yourself may be considered taboo or kink but I think it's a bigger part of every day life than people think. PDA is a classic example. Kissing and touching in public- so your exploits might be the PG rated version but they still dance on the edge of reason.
So live on the edge, maybe even cross over it a little... Maybe you just need to watch Tegan do it. Hmmm?
Where to start? Bare Yourself is a fabulous addition to the Consumes Series. The author has outdone herself with this one. If you read book 1 of the series, you know that it’s about a group of friends that found each other when they attended therapy for their individual types of sexual addictions. Deciding therapy wasn’t helping they formed their own personal type of therapy by being there for each other.
Bare Yourself is the ever so sexy Tegan’s story. OMG after what this man endured as a child it’s a wonder he turned out to be the awesome man he is. He meets a young lady, Willow, who is going through some personal issues herself. She agrees to a night out with him and learns of his need to be watched during sexual acts. This isn’t her thing but she agrees to the date because she is attracted to Tegan. Can she continue to see him consider his needs? And what happens if her past troubles find her, can she handle it all? Will she be able to count on Tegan or will he just make matters worse for her?
This is a fabulously written book with characters you just want to hug tight and wish them nothing but love and happiness. Kudos Ms. Grayson for a phenomenal book and one I would give 10 stars to if I could. Bare Yourself is a must read that I can’t recommend enough!
Alex Grayson has been one of my top favorite authors for about a year now. After reading the Jaded Series, and now the Consumed Series, I thought for sure there was no way to top Jaded Series. I thought knowing what this series was about wasn't going to be 'up my alley.' I thought it was something I wouldn't enjoy reading because I can't relate to much of it. BOY, WAS I WRONG. Alex is not 'just another romance author.' She extremely talented, gifted, and raw. She took Willow and Teagan's story, one that a lot probably wouldn't relate to (or admit to it anyway) and made it something that is truly engrossing, as well as enjoyable. While reading this I found myself laughing, blushing, and starring at my book with very large eyes. I don't think Alex is capbable of writing something that readers can't relate to in one way or another. The character development was flawless. I was able to view and create this world in my head so clearly as I read this book. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next in the world of these interesting people. I think Willow is one of my favorite characters in this series. She's honest, and a smart ass. She doesn't take shit and keeps Teagan on his toes.
After reading ALWAYS WANTING (book 1), I couldn't wait to read Tegan's story. HOLY HOTNESS! Alex Grayson's books keep getting better, and better. I was glued to my kindle from start to finish...SO GOOD!
Tegan is the life and soul of the party. He's a exhibitionist and loves people to watch him having sex. He doesn't do relationships and is a bit of a player. That is until he meets Willow, he just can't get her out of his mind. He is drawn to her like no other. She makes him want to give up all the one nightstands and worship only her....
The chemistry between Tegan and Willow is melt your kindle hot. They have both suffered in their past, and still have lots to face in the future. Can they find their HEA?
Wow, that was so hot! I loved Teagan and Willow! They had instant chemistry, and couldn't seem to get enough of each other, no matter who was watching. I was hooked with the first chapter. I had trouble putting my kindle down when I needed to. I am really enjoying this series and look forward to reading Nathan's and Ava's stories.
OUTSTANDING! The chemistry between Tegan and Willow is off the charts! Whether it's sexual exhibition or dodging family, they find a place in each other's world.
Tegan will always tell the truth, but will it put him at risk? Will Willow stay away because of his past? Will she become just another woman in a long line of them? Can Tegan accept all of Willow's baggage? Will he embrace her past so he can be part of her future?
Real-life problems with no clear solutions makes Bare Yourself authentic. Alex Grayson's writing is spot on. She has the perfect combination to hook you in AND keep you interested...from beginning to end. She doesn't shy away from tougher topics. Yet, Alex is able to create a world of laughter, sexy-time, action and romance. A true fan of her writing style, I highly recommend this book! An absolute must read!
Alex did it again, this book is amazingly fantastic! I love the chemistry between Willow and Tegan. The way Willow fits into Tegan's group of friends, like she's always been there, is fantastic. This book wasn't as tense as other books I've read of Alex's but that didn't take away from the story. I can't wait for the next book. I know it's going to be fantastic!
Tegan Zander has a certain sexual vice, and that's he loves being watched. It gets him off knowing that someone else is getting off watching what he and his partner are doing. This is working for him fine, since he doesn't do relationships at all, and is revelling in his bachelor life. He never believed anyone would change this, but then he helped a woman on the side of the road. Willow Bennett is a hot little number that he got a taste of, then left, expecting to never see her again. Life is funny, and she appeared in a short skirt, with no clue that she was going to be his next plaything, and he was determined to get her to lose her inhibitions. Bare Yourself was such a HOT read, that I'm positive that my kindle will never be the same after trying to overheat. Tegan and Willow's chemistry is off the charts, which made sexy times FIERY FLAMES that will leave no panties standing. Honestly, the hotness factor is 5 stars all on it's own, but add in the fun, and witty banter, it had me laughing a lot, not to mention, kept a smile on my face. Alex Grayson is a talent that I'm addicted to, and she had me invested and hot from the very get go. And if all of that wasn't enough, the way she handled a serious subject was realistic, and with grace. I have to end this now before I inadvertently throw out spoilers, so just read it for yourselves as you won't be sorry! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
A Sensual, Thought Provoking Addition to the Consumed Series...
“Shamelessly Bare” by Alex Grayson is the second installment to her The Consumed series. With it we are once again transported back into the realm of those dealing with hypersexual disorders, and more specifically, into the realm of exhibitionism. And as I mentioned in my review of the previous book in this series, should be read in the series order. This book cannot be read as a standalone as all of the characters within the Consumed series story world overlap and intertwine greatly, so in order to understand the overarching storyline and all the characters within, read books zero and one before diving into this one!
With this installment Grayson gives us the story of Willow and Tegan, Tegan being the swaggering, snarky, and unapologetically hard core exhibitionist friend of Nathan, Ava, and Abby. A man as obnoxiously self-assured as he is mysterious, exuding confidence while remaining closely guarded about his extremely troubling and abusive past at the hands of his mother. A mother who puts young Tegan into situations no child alive should ever have to endure. And Willow, a woman running from her own series of heart breaking troubles, troubles that find her a thousand miles away from her home and accidentally encountering Tegan on the side of a dark highway. What follows is a surprisingly suspenseful, angst filled story. A detail rich and provocative portrayal of a man who needs to show his sexual partner off in the most public of ways, and the woman who struggles to understand, not only why he is the way he is, but also why she finds herself liking the sexual scenarios he puts them in as well.
And while not quite as exciting, or at the same level of intensity as book one in this series (Sex Junkie) you will find yourself reading it cover to cover in one sitting nonetheless. There is just something about Tegan that, despite all of his arrogance and bluster, draws you in. There is something about Willow’s need to see beyond the veil of Tegan’s words to the real man below that you find captivating. Here, despite some stunted and shifting prose that may catch you off guard and have you looking back at previous pages to determine if you understood the underlying timeline correctly that I wish had been fleshed out just a tiny bit better. You will find yourself melting at Tegan’s actions, and holding your breath with every passing scenario Willow finds herself in. And despite not containing quite the same level of heat filled chemistry as Abby and Colt’s story, you will still lap up every single word and vigorously applaud this brave and honest portrayal of people living their lives as they need to beyond the societal veil of “normality”.
It is another entrancing story by Grayson, another one that easily makes my list of top reads for 2020. I cannot recommend this series enough :)
A super hot contemporary romance with unexpected twists and humour...
This is my first book from Alex Grayson (however, it is book #2 in the Consumed series), and I have to be honest— I really enjoyed it. If you're into gentle and wholesome lovey dovey sex, Bare Yourself isn't really for you. This book also deals with some issues that can be a little hard hitting, I found the first chapter especially a little hard to stomach, but I'm glad I stuck with it because the story itself is actually great. It is a different kind of read compared to other erotica books, I loved the angle and path it took. If there's one thing that I found refreshing was the candidness of this story.
The characters themselves are brilliant. Grayson's character development is bordering on flawless. The chemistry between Tegan and Willow. I'm going to come back to the hard hitting part of this story— Tegan has a backstory that is nothing short of hateful, abhorrent... heinous. His character though is so brilliantly though out that you have the right balance of consequence from his past and his ability to live his life without that whole owe is me sentiment. Don't get me wrong, if there was a hint of that in this story it would be more than understandable, but the angle which this story has taken has given the reader the ability to empathise without being buried in pity. This actually worked really well with the plot due to the martymachlia theme throughout... if that is the right term? Someone who enjoys being watched during sex. Basically exhibitionism. The big words are coming out today!
Willow, again, was a great character. I can only describe her and Tegan as two sides of the same coin. They balance each other out, complete each other and together they explore and push each other's limits. Sexually and emotionally. They have these beautiful humorous moments that actually lead them to taking bigger steps together. Like I said, this story is brilliantly balanced. This is an erotica book, so there is a lot of sex. It is very well written and it serves a purpose. A lot of character development is done within the hot, steamy and insanely arousing erotic parts. This isn't sex written for the sake of sex... it's not some heavy, lusty dirty porno... even if some of the sex can only be described in that way.
All in all, I loved this story. Tegan was it for me. He really was the star of the show. I cannot wait for the next in the series. I'm guessing that the secondary characters in Bare Yourself will all have their own book. I hope they do, because I absolutely LOVED the secondary characters. You got a good feel for them, even if they weren't centerstage. I really hope I don't have to wait too long for the next book, and I hope that we see more of Tegan and Willow in it. For now I'll just have to read Always Wanting, book #1 int the Consumed series.
Wow! Serious book high that came crashing down in the "11th hour" 😄. From page one I was hooked on this interesting story and gabbled it up. Loved it until 70-80% in I realized the book lacked real conflict. By 90%, I had to take off a star because I realized there wasn't really a strong enough plot.
Read the TWs because it does handle heavy topics like CSA and drug addiction. The major k!nk is exhibitionism k!nk book and this one has it in spades.
🫶🏿 smut starts immediately in the story (after the tragic backstory). I appreciated that the author wasted no time with the random meeting between the main characters and getting some hot steamy scenes.
🫶🏿 the dialogue is fun, fast, and quick. Some were a little bit much but overall I enjoyed watching this group of oddball friends.
🫶🏿 k!nk is shown throughout the entire book in different ways. Usually, with exhibitionism, it's shown once or twice in a very controlled manner but here the book embraces it and that really made it a fun naughty read. Those scenes were 🔥. Spicy hot, like 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ type hot 😅 😛🥵
🫶🏿 fast pace read. It was just great k!nk scenes and banter. It was great getting a peek at these characters and their world.
🫶🏿 straightforward characters. I really liked how Teagan held zero punches. He knew who he was and what he liked and how. He understood his limits and he just was a breath of fresh air. I read a lot of dark romance and there is always so much angst involving childhood trauma. Here Teagan admits he went through therapy to figure some things out. I applaud that approach because it helped make the reader understand the k!nk better. Teagan wasn't bitter, so I'm not going to be. Even though there are extremely traumatic childhood experiences, none of it holds up the story.
My major eh... 😬 there's sort of a plot. I really didn't notice until late that the book really lacked a plot. In the first half of the book we get the trouble with the FMC's brother, Bryan, so the plot flows from there but once we start toward the end of the book, it's clear that Bryan was just a throw-in story device.
I had only a couple of icks and yucks:
👎🏾 how long-term drug addiction is handled at the end of the story. I just didn't like the conclusion of that storyline as it felt unrealistic. It lowered the quality of the story and made Bryan feel like he wasn't a true character, just an empty foil and story device.
👎🏾 the FMC calling homeboy stud 😮💨🥴. This is an entirely personal thing. She started calling Teagan stud as a joke but the joke stuck. Something about that phrase is like nails on a chalkboard 😄.
All in all, a decent read. I enjoyed my time with the book, just wished it didn't go out with a bang.
Bare Yourself by Alex Grayson Tegan Zander likes to have people watch him have sex. It excites him to see someone else enjoying what he is partaking in but it’s not always easy to find the right girl. Tegan had a very difficult upbringing and his mom is currently dying. When he helps Brandy fix a tire along side of the road he is attracted to her but she unfortunately drives away before he can get her number. Willow Bennett has decided to move closer to her best friend Minnie after the death of her mom and to somewhat escape her brother Bryan who is addicted to drugs and falling apart. When she breaks down on the side of the road she is hoping someone will help her get on her way before her brother finds her. When Tegan and Willow unexpectedly meet up at a bar sparks fly and Tegan can see that Willow is enjoying all of the “extra” attention she is getting. But can Willow handle the full extent of Tegan’s addiction? Can Willow deal with her own past and brother Bryan before his addiction becomes Willow’s downfall? This was such a good book and definitely deals with some sensitive subjects. I found Tegan a little intriguing and I was curious to see how it was all going to pan out with meeting the right girl. I liked that it wasn’t all that I thought it was going to be and sometimes it would be more public than other times. I enjoyed the “subtle” things that he did but I liked when he stared at the people watching. My heart completely broke for what he went through as a child which 100% contributed to where he was now. I was totally shocked and horrified and what his mom allowed to happen, even of she was scared. Willow was a great character who was dealing with her own issues and the spiraling addiction of her brother Bryan. Willow was worried what he would do to her if she wouldn’t give him what he wanted and that worried her. She was instantly attracted to Tegan and they shared so much chemistry. I really liked Tegan and Willow together and they had so much chemistry and surprisingly really enjoyed the thrill of being watched. There were times I wondered if they would get caught and only had one really close call! I also liked how protective Tegan was over Willow almost instantly. There was nothing that he wouldn’t do to protect her. I was slightly surprised at Willow’s actions at the end of the book with Bryan but at the same time it was her brother and she wanted to believe there was good left in him. The letter at the end was heartbreaking but it still didn’t excuse the past. My heart broke for Tegan again as none of that should ever have happened. A great book and looking forward to the next one. By Rebecca
With this being the first book that I have read by this author, I was pleasantly surprised by the depth I encountered in these two characters, Tegan Zander and Willow Bennett. I loved how this wasn't your typical erotic romance where two strangers meet, engage in a fling, and part ways to meet again and fall in love (Been there, done that, give me something MORE!). Alex Grayson made sure to put a heart and soul into two fictional characters, rip them out, and have these two take a journey together to make themselves whole again (graphic, I know, but totally worth it). Tegan was first introduced in the first book, Always Wanting, and he is part of a band if friends that have sexual disorders/addictions. His sexual drug of choice: he loves to be watched having sex and likes to see people take pleasure in watching him. Now, don't judge him too severely because he has had a very difficult childhood due to his horrible, horrid, horrendous 'mother' (if you can call that monster a mother) and his addiction is a side effect of that. But, hey, Tegan owns his addiction and isn't interested in being tied down in a relationship. Willow is looking for a new, fresh start from her turbulent, unpleasant past when she meets Tegan on the side of the road because of a flat tire. The attraction is instant between the two and as a 'thank you' for changing her tire: a make out session on the side of the road (hey, why not? She's not going to see him again, might as well kiss the stranger that helped her😉). That is until they do meet again and this time they can't run away from their attraction, but guve into it. Willow partakes in Tegan's exhibitionism, discovering that she likes it and likes Tegan, too. Eventually, their dark pasts catch up with them both and they are put through twists and turns to get free of those pasts that weigh them down. When it's all said and done, will Tegan want a real relationship? Will he want to be with Willow? Will Willow feel safe and secure enough to want to stay with Tegan? ** I voluntarily read an advanced review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review **
Tegan Zander makes Christian Grey look like Mr. Rogers. Tegan has a sexual fetish of being watched while having sex, sometimes his friend Nathan even joins in. His best friends are other people who have various sexual fetishes and sexual addictions. He's very direct about what he wants because he's not looking for a relationship just a good time.
Willow Bennett is a sweetheart, born and raised in Texas she grew up with her twin brother and best friend Minnie. Willow's parents passed years before and her brother didn't take it well and was going through some really dark things. Willow needing to get away from whats going on in Texas moves to Atlanta to live with Minnie , her husband Logan and their baby Luna.
Tegan and Willow really have some chemistry , their sex scenes may very well be the hottest I have ever read. Tegan went after Willow thinking she was just going to be another notch on the bed post but he immediately felt a connection to her . Willow found herself being more open and doing things she never thought she would do in a million years.
This was a total five star read for me and the first Alex Grayson book that I've had the pleasure of reading. If I'm being honest the first chapter was really hard for me, I started reading it and had to sit down and take a breath and then talk to a friend. Wow oh wow I wasn't prepared for it but I'm so glad it was there, for me and it answered a lot of questions about Tegan. The next day I picked back up and read the entire book and ignoring my family until I finished. I'm not usually a fan of a lot of sex in books because often times it just becomes cheesy or takes away from the story but in this case I believe it added a lot. I really enjoyed Bare Yourself , I've already started adding other Alex Grayson titles to my kindle! It's a sexy story with some tears and suspense that you'll be glad you didn't miss out on.
I reviewed this book on behalf Book Addict live, This is Tegan’s story. He’s the exhibitionist. He likes people to watch him having sex. He likes to see them take their pleasure watching him getting his. Tegan meets Willow on the side of the road when her car has a flat tyre. She leaves him with a kiss and she stays in his mind. Circumstances bring them to cross paths again and neither of them can deny the attraction. Tegan gets Willow to discover her own dirty side and once he discovers this there’s no stopping his feelings. As I hadn’t read book one it didn’t stop me reading this as a standalone. This is group of friends who met at sex addiction clinic, and as a group they try to help each other cope. Willow is running from her own problems and has come to Atlanta to stay with friends until she finds a job and place to live. Very soon Willow and Tegan are falling for each other. I found Tegan very likable and Willow is a sweetheart. There are reasons for Tegan’s sex addiction which is kinda harrowing and heartbreaking. I just loved him!! The way he tries to help friends with their addictions you knew he’s deeper than he appears. He’s just a really good guy, especially the way he cares for Willow. Willow was highly likeable. She’s funny and brave and I loved how she challenged Tegan on every level! As you can imagine the loving scenes were off the charts!! Very imaginative kept me glued to my kindle, which it is still steaming. The story flowed well and kept me all the way through, storyline isn’t just about the addiction there’s so much more to it. The things with her brother kinda broke my heart in places. So don’t think it’s just a sex book its way more than that. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Bare Yourself is the 2nd book in the Consumed Series and I have not read book 1 so I am glad that it could be read as a standalone. This story is filled with characters with addictions that I found myself wanting to know more about.
In this story I am introduced to Tegan Zander, an exhibitionist who loves to have others watching while he has sexual relations with someone. Tegan does not come off pervy in a way that I had expected. His story of his past is heartbreaking and it explains the person that he is, I found him to be strong, demanding, loving tantalizing and kind of like a drug-an adrenaline rush to be more precise.
Willow Bennet is a woman running from her past and wanting to start anew with her best friend and her best-friends husband. Willow is looking for a job and a place to live, she never expected to look for love and excitement, she found all that wrapped in the gorgeousness that is Tegan. His addiction brings out a passion that was never explored with Willow, who now finds herself exposed and enjoying it. Will Tegan be able to handle the past that has now found Willow?
Bare Yourself is written in duel POV, so at times I did feel a little rushed with two dramatic stories coming at me. It did help with understanding how their lives could come together and have the reader emotionally invested. This is one extremely heated read with a story-line that took me by surprise, had me tearing up, and wanting that HEA. It did leave me wanting to read the first book in the series and wanting more from the other characters. 4 Star Read!

Willow is one of those people with a giant heart and a golden soul. She's also sassy and brave. I loved how she pushed and let her limits be pushed. Willow is an extremely passionate and compassionate character. In need of fresh air and some clarity in her life, Willow discovers a side of herself she never knew was there. I
Tegan amazed my from the moment he walked to the page. He knows himself well and understands his demons and desires in way is unconventional and enticing. His past is dark and will cause rage to boil. He will also look at a woman in just a way that will have her thoughts changing and mind racing. I bordered on liking him, then totally fell in love. Tegan is a sexy, uninhibited and an adventure.
Bare Yourself is the most surprising read of the year for me. Alex Grayson walks the line in a way that kept me turning the pages, intrigued by and indulging in the passionate chaos that Bare Yourself. Willow and Tegan meet unexpectedly and changes each other's world. Their chemistry is flippin amazing. . Complementing each other is an understatement, they are each other's other half. I love their spontaneous passion. Alex Grayson delivers a deep, real and emotional story in a way I couldn't stop reading. Raw and gritty with uninhibited and explorative passion. Bare Yourself consumes the reader in an intense and exciting way.
