'sigh' It's like coming home. Meeting again with old friends; regardless of how much time goes by it's always as if the last get-together was just yesterday.

Note to self so I’ll remember where to pick this re-read back up. Planning to start with Tom and Jake’s Everest book, then the MEC, then back to these guys, including On the Corner of 5th, which I skipped over for some reason.

Flynn and Paul go away for a conference, and Dale doesn't cope very well.
I really enjoyed this story. For once, we got to see how Jasper Tops alone, and just how different he is to Flynn and Paul. For one thing, there was doughnuts and shop-bought cake. For another, he left Dale spiralling for a lot longer than either Flynn or Paul would, seeing if he would admit that he was struggling.
There were a lot of humorous moments in this story, though. For one thing, Flynn and hotels and hotel soap and hotel food. He still has a lot of brat in him, but I feel as though Paul deals with him deftly and fondly. It's really quite sweet, seeing their relationship.
I also enjoyed Riley and Jasper together, eating junk food, telling scary stories, carving pumpkins. Even though Dale is spiralling out of control at the time, it's really sweet.
I did physically hurt for Dale in places, though. Even though he's made leaps and bounds from the very first book, he's still a very damaged man. I think he still needs a lot of closure as far as his mother is concerned, and I hope we get that.

I don't think I could ever tire of reading about these men.

Another great story about Fall's Chance Ranch and the people that I love that live there. Sure, Dale is still having problems. This book's problems hit me more than some of the other that he has had. I think that is because I can relate somewhat because the trigger that is hitting him is something that is my biggest fear. I don't want to say what it is and give away the story. I just know that watching him learn to cope was something I could understand. I also think this fear is something that hits most people in some way or another. So, really good addition to the series. I definitely hope that more books come along. I will keep my eyes out for everything.
