A very enjoyable novella giving us the story of Dr. Jordan Will (Meggie and the other Ol’ Ladies’ OB/GYN) and Cameron Baptiste (Knox’s partner at the PI firm). Just as Jordan finally agrees to give it a go with Cam, someone with a grudge against not only Jordan but also Outlaw Caldwell, comes on the scene and makes Jordan drive everyone away. Of course, Outlaw being the man he is, realises something is up and seeing as his beloved Meggie adores her doctor friend, he has to do something. Even if it means giving Cam the credit for it so he can get his woman back.
I have to say, while Cam did step up when he could, he took his sweet time to realise anything was even wrong. After how poor Knox was in the last book at being a PI, I really don’t see a future in the private investigator world for these two. I sure wouldn’t hire them anyway. lol.
I really did enjoy this story though, and the presence of Outlaw in a book that wasn’t even about a club member, made it that bit more enjoyable. I really do think he may be my favourite MC Pres these days. I give Misgivings 4.5 stars, and am hoping this is not the end to this Death Dweller world.
