Shape-Shifter: considered a companion novella to The Teenager's Guide to Quantum Mechanics series by Avrell Kro is really a short story that does not appear to be tied to anything. It really could be a stand-alone piece of fiction except for the fact that it really is not very substantive.

Sure, there is humor, and we have characters, but the characters are not very memorable, or even well thought out. Not much to see here. The story is ten pages of attempted characterization, and then it ends with nothing of substance happening. I know it has something to do with angels-lore (Nephilim) and quantum mechanics because of the title, but I really don't get it. Some people smarter than I, will have to decipher the symbolism. Good luck.

Funny short story setting the scene for further tales.
