Margaret Vincent Foster came into the world with two money and a rebellious streak. She can’t find the love of her life, so she fills the void by dating characters you would normally only find in the drunk tank on a full moon. She’s the girl your parents never thought to warn you about. She will steal your heart, and maybe a little bit of your soul.
Maggie’s only goal is to not end up like her socialite parents and their friends. They want her to settle down and be comfortable, and all Maggie can think about is a boy in a Star Wars costume she met half a lifetime ago. Her prized velvet Elvis and celebrity hair clippings in tow, she drags everyone along as she carves her own path in the world.
This was the third book in the Elevator series. This was Maggie's story and her love interest Finn. In my opinion, again just my opinion, I did not find it as funny as "Going Down". However I am not saying that it was funny, it was and again I loved to read about Cole and Cici, to me they saved the day. In this book we read how Maggie had met and fell for Finn, but they lost contact for years. However both of them kept thinking of the other as they tried to get on with their lives. They both had other love interest but they never panned out. Years later they meet again where they had originally met, and the attraction is still there. In a extremely fast timing they tell each other how they love each other, which I couldn't get it was the same day, and they decide to get married. AGain Cici and Cole stole the show for me..
***6 LIGHTNING BOLTS*** Katherine Stevens has created a hysterically comedic book, with an incredibly quirky heroine, and a terribly sweet second chance romance. Going Up" folks, has the BEST "Meet Cute" in the Business! You can quote me!!! Katherine Stevens' "Going Up" is the second book in her Elevator Series. Though it's a stand-alone Cici and Cole, from "Going Down", make a significant appearance. Maggie level of "eccentric" makes Cici look "normal". Finn, is the Hero, who is almost as "unique" as Maggie. He started a company with friends from college and made his own. Like Maggie, Finn is a Sci-Fi aficionado, a bit of a geek, and spontaneous. While Maggie's Big and Brash and mows down anything and anyone in her way Finn is Good-Humored, Charming, and Sweet. But they are definitely one heart and one soul. "Going Up" features Maggie's backstory including her meeting Cici, and all of her notorious boyfriends. "Going Up" is snort out loud, laugh until the words are blurry with tears, good time reading. The pace is good and the storyline is amusing and intriguing. This is one of those romances where the Hero and the Heroine don't "really" have sex until the bitter end. HOWEVER, the sex they do have, before they meet, is HOT. When they DO get together it's a whirlwind of Shock and Aw! Notice not "Awe" but "Aw". Consequently Maggie and Finn's ultra-spontaneous personalities cause them to be unrestrained and borderline illegal, but oh so romantic. The secondary characters are Gold! Maggie's beleaguered mother is wonderful. Her unflappable father, when he's ruffled is firing on all cylinders. Then the infamous past boyfriends. Lake, the smelly, dreadlocked commune dweller. The rodeo clown. Ramone - poor Ramone. GOLD I tell you!!! I don't think I could love this book any more if I tried. I ADORE the romance in "Going Up"! After Reading it more than once, I grin like a loon, envisioning the Fairy-Tale-like whimsical utopias Comic Cons must be. Katherine Stevens does a magnificent job with the characters of Finn and Maggie. Finn's geeky charm hob-nobs with an almost guileless childlike joy. Maggie is a rebel force, an unconventional free-spirit on a mission. She's extremely complex because she has so much passion to be unique and different from her parents. She doesn't want to be like them nor does she like what their money represents. But she doesn't hold the mirror out far enough to see the entire picture when she's looking at herself. Maggie's not that far off from what her parents are exactly. Katherine Stevens has the internal monologues on point. Both "Going Down" and "Going Up" are worth reading. But "Going Up" is definitely an amazing Romantic Comedy! To read the entire review please visit: http://wp.me/p4XqxF-1Lz This novel was provided, voluntarily read, and honestly reviewed

I kinda feel like a horrible person for saying that like I'm cheating on my other favorites, but dang...this story had me cackling and snorting in laughter! Maggie and Finn are my kind of crazy! Katherine Stevens is my kind of crazy! This whole series is off the charts funny and you will seriously be missing out if you don't read them....Insta good mood reading this baby! Perfect!! The starry and characters were beautifully written. I couldn't put this book down till the end. I'm going to go binge read every book in this series! I love HEAs and creative sex, let's not leave out the dirty humor. I want to be Maggie's best friend!! Trust me, you want to read this
Short review. A witty slow burn love story with a fairy tale feel. The characters are delightful and a little odd but that will only make you like them more. Maggie and Finn are without a doubt made for each other and have a adorable meet cute and reunion several years later, they keep each other on their toes and are full of surprises.
This is one of the funniest series you'll ever read. It will also tug your heart string with all of the love and friendship going around. Maggie is definitely a character and Finn is perfect for her. CiCi and Cole are in this one as well, it was good to see them again.
Off the wall from start to finish. Crisp dialogue. A story line that never settles. Just when I thought it was veering toward a cliche, off it went in another direction. Crazy with a good heart. Under all the nutso lies a loving and caring web of family and friends. That never wears out.
Going Up is the third romantic comedy book that I've read in The Elevator series written by author Katherine Stevens. It's insanely funny. Maggie and CiCi are a riot.
