End Plan

Rate this book
“Since he’d left that barricade, he’d stuck to the secondary roads and seen few people, which was just fine with him. His early experience with the main highways had depressed him — miles of asphalt clogged with hundreds of cars, all heading blindly in one away. He knew that those desperate people didn’t have a chance. That the areas that the government said they would hold would be overrun, and that the single one that could, and would, be held would be denied to them; neither the transportation, food or even basic lodging available. They would be turned away if they managed to make it that far and would perish in the onslaught.”

End Plan is the story of one man and his part in planning for the end of the world — and what comes after. Like any plan though, things don’t always quite work out the way you intended.

About the author

Cameron Stevenson

1 book1 follower
Cam Stevenson is a wannabe writer, who counts being a husband and father as his top accomplishments.

He is, by trade, a very long-time, award-winning software developer with dozens of successful (and unsuccessful) apps to his credit dating back to the 90's.

Cam is a history buff and a historical re-enactor, fascinated by the Loyalist side of the American Revolution and is an enthusiastic grunt with the King's Royal Regiment of New York and the Canadian Regiment of Fencible Infantry.

When he's not writing software (or words) or running around out-of-breath at a re-enactment, Cam is a voracious reader, largely of Science Fiction, with a special appetite for books centered around "bad real estate deals".

Cam lives in Oxford Station, Ontario with Wendy, his wife of 32 years, and a small overly confident cat named Oreo.

Very good entry in the TEOTWAWKI genre

C. Stevenson's END PLAN is a worthy addition to the ever-expanding reading options in the Zombie/Pandemic/TEOTWAWKI genre. Generally believable, if marginal-drawn characters; a plausible (within the genre) plotline; suspense; minimal shoot-em-up action in favor of psychological thrills and spills and tension - All combine to make END PLAN a book well worth a read by anyone inclined to choose the genre.

Last days?

Very good book and very well written. I can't help but wonder why the author keeps calling the main character "the man", but I am sure I will find out. This was a very different kind of look at the apocalypse and I was very pleased that I had picked it to read. I hope the next book will not take long to come out because this was certainly a cliffhanger.
