Good intro to Linux and Python

This is a great introduction to Linux and Python for an absolute beginner. For someone who is familiar with Linux and programming the first 6 chapters are a bit of a drag. By the time that is complete so is half of the book. The remainder of the book briefly touches on the GPIO pins and then lists some really interesting project ideas and the peripherals to get started. It would be nice if the book touched on using github and had a repository that had a few smaller projects for ideas.

Good information, shaky English usage

A useful and accurate introduction to the Raspberry Pi model 3, including coding examples in Python as well as basic examples for using the GPIO connections. Language is not quite what we expect from a native speaker, but is intelligible enough to be clear.

If you don't know anything about a Raspberry PI read this, or not. It's full of terrible English grammar and poorly spelled words. It's like someone took a badly written online tutorial and made a book. You could get all of this from a google search.

Barely usable

Was hoping for more of a command reference and architectural design explanation of the OS and hardware interface. Program examples could be useful but the book falls short of programming techniques for starters.

This is good for grade school and middle schoolers at best. Over trivialized.

Excellent guide for starters

Good book for the basics of the Raspberry like computer.
The nice thing is the flexibility with a lot of basic functions for doing projects.
