In a world of extraordinary possibilities, Stone & Star find adventures that we only dream of. It is no simple feat to battle the Raven of Un-Certainty, who challenges every step of Stone's recovery to health.

Both Stone & Star look forward to meeting you again, this time through an illustrated re-telling of their first meeting, but with more details of their travels together.

Stone's adventures would be incomplete without his readers, who help him through their understanding of his story!

The first book was published on March 20th 2012 - it is after 5 years of feedback from readers, parents, teachers and distributors that we present this vantage telling of the same story.

Nearly 90% of the total sales were made in bookstores connected to hospitals, nursing homes, hospices, recovery homes, seniors' residential centres, children's hospitals and charities for women.

We've had the privilege of having a heart-felt connect with several readers - for this we're grateful.

This edition is now a workbook for a seminar in Preventive Health & Growth by our centre for chronic diseases, based in Mumbai (India). The workshop travels around the globe with the author and her notes from prescription pad.

Medic & Writer | Kathak enthusiast

Dr. Shradhdha Shah is currently attached to the Heilsa Sports & Trauma Centre and the Chaarana Special Needs Centre in Bangalore (2019 - until date) and Shradhdha Cures in Mumbai (2007 - until date). The focus is on long-term health conditions.

The prescription pad that travels with Dr. Shradhdha has been witness to multiple narratives. It has engaged most with longitudinal case studies in children and young adults. As an alumni from University College London's Department of Applied Medical Anthropology, she has enjoyed working with the Institute of Child Health (UCL London), the Stuart Low Trust among other healthcare institutes across South Asia and Europe.

Simply put, her prescription pad is a bite sized encyclopaedia of lived experiences in vulnerable populations.

Between 2007 and 2019, this bundle of notes traveled with her across Mumbai, Pondichery, Baroda, Ahemdabad, Bangalore (India), Hamburg (Germany), London & Oxford (UK), Poznan (Poland) and Paris (France). The thirst for more curation of in-depth therapeutic interviews in children, young adults and the differently-abled continues.

In 2020 and 2021, all workshops were facilitated on Zoom. The focus was to model turning points amid the chaos. Medical management and advice was made available 24/7 with the help of a reliable team of medics.

Creativity of the author of saying the story with the help of stone and star was good. Author shows that anybody can achieve if one believe in oneself. But there are many instances where i was not able to understand the story. Overall it was a goodread... :)

Very brilliant and intelligent book for children and young adults.
The more inspired you are within, the less the circumstance is likely to traumatize or fragment you.

When I started reading the book, I believed it was going to be a great read. Then when I got halfway through the book I found numerous flaws(in my opinion) that the author had committed. A book(fiction at least) is supposed to keep the reader engaging and I believe the author failed here. There were many things about the book that I loved, but the flaws outnumbered them. Personification was not at its best and characters absolutely cannot be related to. Even from someone who loves fantasy, I believe that the book would have been great if there had been no fantastical elements. The author was determined to deliver as many details as possible in her book. What I believe is that the author had started striking nails and she was so intently focused on the number of nails she struck that she failed to see whether the nails were driven home.

A definition of a good book differs from reader to reader. Maybe some will like the book, but it failed to satisfy me.

To be honest, I didn't finish reading the book. When I received the book (as a giveaway win from Goodreads, thanks!) I was like, wow this is such a cute book! The cover too, was super cute, albeit a bit childish (in a good way).

The lines, "Star: "The fundamental question is, do you believe in magic?"
Stone: "Where is this magic?"" and the follow up at the end piqued my interest.

Though the story itself couldn't hold my attention. Reading the story, I remembered the line from The Fault In Our Stars, "My thoughts are stars I can't fathom into constellations." That's how I felt while reading this book. I couldn't understand bits and pieces of the story.

I don't know whether it was the story, or whether it just wasn't my type of book, but I couldn't get into it. I'll pass it on to my friends and maybe one of them will find it upto their expectations. I'm not rating this book because I think I don't have the right to do so, considering I didn't read the whole thing. I'm gonna mark it 'read' anyway, because I did read 75% of the book before giving up.
