Story of Love is part of the Bradens Novellas Collection by Melissa Foster. It focused on Josh and Riley's wedding as an update from Friendship on Fire, the third book of the Braden's at Weston, Co.
It was a short and quick but delightful read. I loved the continued bonding within the family. Foster had scenarios that showed the males bonding, the females bonding, individual couple bonding and then all as a family. Foster also included all of the offspring and there were plenty of funny antics from all. Although the storyline's main focus was Josh and Riley's wedding, the underlying theme resonated with the strong family ties.
It was great to catch up with the Weston Braden's and I can't wait to see where Foster takes us next and to continue with more Braden cousins.
Such a great narration that included characters of various age groups from small children to their grandparents. He did an awesome job of giving them all their own unique voice.
I loved this short story of Josh and Riley and all they had to deal with to have their dream wedding, while keeping it out of the paparazzi’s sight. Even as one thing after another happened, the fact that they held fast to each other and their family is what makes not only this novella, but this entire series such a great investment of time.
Story of Love (Love in Bloom Book #29) by Melissa Foster. The Love in Bloom series proved to be a heartwarming journey through love, family, and personal growth. Spanning multiple interconnected series/stories, it offers a wonderful blend of romance, humor, and emotional depth that kept me reading the whole way through. Ms. Foster crafted fully developed, relatable, and multidimensional characters who added an extra element of emotion and interest to my overall reading experience. The heroes are fiercely loyal and endearing, while the heroines are smart, empowered, and refreshingly ‘real’. Each character feels like someone you could know in real life, making their struggles and triumphs, high and lows, all the more impactful. The stories have a perfect balance of steamy romance mixed with heartfelt moments. But that doesn’t mean that Ms. Foster shies away from exploring deeper themes like forgiveness, self-discovery, and the complexities of relationships – adding dynamic layers to the storyline/s. But, despite the emotional depth, the series still maintains more of a lighthearted charm, sprinkled with humor and tender family connections. While each novel can be read as a standalone, there is an interconnectedness with the recurring characters and overlapping storylines - which help create a sense of community that feels warm and inviting. It’s like being welcomed into a big, loving family where everyone has a worthwhile story to tell. ‘Within the Love in Bloom big-family romance collection you'll find fiercely loyal heroes and smart, empowered women on their search for true love. They're flawed, funny, and easy to relate to. Characters from each series appear in future Love in Bloom books…’ If you are a fan of contemporary romance or simply looking for a feel-good series to escape into, this series is a worthwhile binge read… Love in Bloom is made up of the following series: - Snow Sisters - The Bradens (Weston, CO) - The Remingtons - The Bradens (Trusty, CO) - The Bradens Novellas Collection - The Bradens (Peaceful Harbor, MD) - Seaside Summers - Bayside Summers - The Ryders - The Steeles at Silver Island - The Silvers at Silver Island - Wild Boys After Dark - Bad Boys After Dark - The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Peaceful Harbor - The Bradens & Montgomerys, Pleasant Hill – Oak Falls - The Bradens at Ridgeport - The Wickeds: Dark Knights at Bayside - The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Redemption Ranch - Romantic Comedy Series Collection - Sugar Lake - Harmony Pointe - Harborside Nights - Nice Girls After Dark - The Steeles - The Stones - Blazing Summer - The Brays

Story of Love is the novella of the trials and tribulations of Josh and Riley as the attempt to have her dream wedding, and I do mean attempt. Josh and Riley want desperately to have a wedding free from the paparazzi that are determined to make a media spectacle of their special day. That leads to the first of what will be a round of frustrations for Riley, Josh and the entire Braden crew. Think helpful, decorating little ones, naked bridesmaids, mothers gone wild, and anatomically interesting pancakes to name a few. This story had me laughing so hard at certain points, and I fell in love with a character, Charlotte, that I hope will be featured in a future Melissa Foster book. Throughout the entire book, Josh and Riley kept turning to each other for support and comfort, and I have never read of a couple more in love and devoted to each other. This book was the perfect cap to the delightful Braden series and only whets my appetite for more Melissa Foster romances.
B.J. Harrison narrated Josh and Riley's original story, and he continues to be the perfect choice for a sweet and steamy romance. He has a deep, soothing voice that portrays male and female roles with equal skill. His performance is flawless, and he handles the numerous comedic moments in Story of Love with a previously unknown (for me) talent.
I received a copy of this audiobook at my request in exchange for this honest review.
BJ Harrison is my go-to narrator. I am so excited when I put my headphone on and hear his voice. With each book that he has narrated, I am taken into the book world through his words. The characters come alive, the author’s story comes to life, and I am just lost. Melissa Foster has definitely picked the correct narrator for her Love in Bloom series.
The end was my favorite. I thought I was done listening and then Hal’s voice came on. I just stopped, stood still and listened. He is the head of the family so I knew what he would say would be important. Hal is my 2nd favorite Love in Bloom character, Treat is #1, and I always know that his words are strong, true, and full of love.
The story in Story of Love is Josh and Riley’s wedding. The Braden clan comes to Charlotte’s inn for the wedding and the fun begins. There is laughter, smiles, tears, giggles, and so much more before the wedding festivities can begin. I loved every minute of the preparations. I loved that the girls were together making a cake, having a sleepover, eating brownies, and just enjoying each other. I love that the men were together fixing up the inn, watching the children, and enjoying being together.
This is a novella. It is short, quick, and a great way to catch up to the characters that you may have met in other books in this series.
This novella features Riley Banks and Josh Braden’s wedding (their love story took place in Friendship on Fire). I listened to the audio book and B.J. Harrison never disappoints! Once again you’re transported into the story and feel like a witness to all that ensues. Although a novella, it’s packed with hilarious moments, zany happenings, heartfelt love and of course their happily ever after.
Being famous fashion designers means you have paparazzi trailing after you all the time, unless of course you have the Braden clan to help make your wedding a reality despite what happens! As in real life, not everything goes according to plan and that’s okay, because being a real couple means you have to learn to roll with the punches as a united unit.
There’s no shortage of family bonding, whether immediate family, cousins or close friends and of course all their children. Papa Hal Braden is one of my all time favorite fictional characters, (although I have to remind myself he’s not real) and his love and wisdom is so beautiful and earnest
The heat and passion comes through loud and clear like in all of Melissa’s books, and you won’t be disappointed with Josh and Riley’s wedding. It’s a quick read or listen and one you’ll be glad you did. Five stars!
Story of Love (Josh & Riley's Wedding) Love in Bloom: The Bradens, Book 9 By: Melissa Foster Narrated by: B.J. Harrison
What can possibly go wrong with Josh and Riley's wedding you ask? You name it and this wedding is full of mishaps. But it does not dampen the love and passion that is felt by Hal Braden's kids. All arriving at the wedding, with their spouses and babies, we are treated to a quick listen of happiness, craziness and family love. Melissa Foster always brings joy to my heart. Josh and Riley deserve a life full of love, and they were not going to let a few disasters deter them from finding their happy ending. I love this look at the family, the warmth felt, the smiles it brought to my face with each impending catastrophe and they way the family all pulls together to make it beautiful! Another fun listen!
BJ Harrison gives this one his all, bringing all the Bradens together. He masterfully has kept the voices of each one through the series and with his comedic timing and emotional voices, we get to live through the wedding. I love his portrayal of this family and it makes me feel like coming home each time I hear him.
And so we return to Josh and Riley. I had forgotten how romantic Josh was, how nothing could get in his way for Riley's happiness, even moving back to Weston, if that's what she wants. He's always calm, in control. At this momentous time in their lives, both of them are reflective, more so for Josh. He finds himself thinking about his mother, wishing her back for his father, and himself. They both have "what if" thoughts, wondering what their future may hold, and how much control they can have of it. How much they will have to give up due to the scrutiny of the press and public. But then you hear them talk of the exciting times ahead, reconnecting with family. Re-enforcing relationships built over time. There are many laugh out loud moments in this book, totally fun, the usual cameraderie when all the brothers and their sister are together once again. Catching up with everyone is like checking in with family, finding out what everyone is up to, new babies, new romances, moving, working. Listening to all their chatter and laughter. All the hustle and bustle of events make you want to chip in and help, involving yourself in everything that is happening. Was sheer delight to read. Melissa never disappoints.
I can't tell you how much I laughed at this story! Hilarious! B. J. Harrison brought it to life. Josh Braden was marrying Riley Banks and they were fashion designers. They had designed a beautiful wedding dress for their wedding. The day before the wedding two of Josh's small nephews got to the dress and drew designs and stick figures on it. They had to make adjustments to the wedding cake because of a huge mistake. Then Riley's friend had sent a batch of brownies for the girls to munch on, then she got a message that the brownies had got mixed up. The brownies they ate had mariwana baked in them and they had eaten them all. Riley had a time with all of the high women. I laughed until I cried at this one!!
I loved this short little story with Josh and Riley as well as the other Bradens. No matter what happened to get them to the alter, I never doubted their determination and love for each other. I liked the strong sense of family throughout the book as well as the return or reference to the characters from many of the other books in the series as well as a few references to characters from other series as well. I liked catching up with the characters from the previous stories in the series as well. The plot was quick for this short story as I had it finished in one sitting and was sorry the story ended. The narration by Mr. Harrison continues to be enthusiastic and enjoyable to listen to. I would recommend this story to others wanting to reconnect with the series.
I received this audiobook free for an honest review. The author brings the Braden family together for a wedding. Each of the characters in her previous Braden books are included with their families in this Novella. If you want to have a quick synopsis of each of their lives, this book does that. Melissa Foster has a great knack for telling a story and in this novella she provides not only stories from the past but a surprise for future books in this series as well as a bridge to her other series. The narrator did a good job with the characters in this story as he does in all the other stories written by Melissa Foster.
Josh and Riley have been so busy with their design business for four years they couldn’t find the time to get married but now they are just taking the time. But first they have to escape the paparazzi. After a night time escape with the help of Hugh. Josh’s brother and Jack his brother in law they make it to the place they are getting married Sterling House in Colorado. Wishing for a beautiful wedding the whole family is working to make a beautiful event but disaster hits and almost stops the wedding. So enjoy another good read and see how they get a HEA!!
Hilarious! I've read & reread this book & still LnMAO...this family is headed for a life long journey of good & bad times, family get togethers', drama's, closeness, and tons of laughs. I think although this author combines these series' (and extensive at that), it should continue (at least for the Braden's in Weston)....I can envision more going on in each of their lives, definitely successful!! Thank you Melissa, well done indeed 😉 please consider a continuation
This novella was a fresh breeze in the Love in Bloom series. It’s filled with love, friendship, family and tons of babies! I was so happy to get a peek into each of Hal Braden children’s lives. To be able to see how their lives changed, to still feel the love between the spouses, the strong bond that keeps them all together and to meet all their little ones! A dreamy planned wedding filled with laughter, love, tears and a little drama! This was a quick read but perfectly packed with tons of emotions!
I loved having the opportunity to listen to this book after reading it when it was first released in print. B.J. is a great narrator! Josh and Riley just want their wedding day to go well but mishaps keep jumping in the way. Between the press, and other day before and day of the wedding hiccups, it is definitely not perfect. It is hard to not find comedy each time, even Josh and Riley have to laugh. In typical Braden fasion, they make the most out of even the craziest situations. Through all the chaos they only grow closer to each other and to their families.
With the paparazzi circling, Josh and Riley along with help from his family, leave the Bahama’s unnoticed and head for Charlotte Sterling’s’ home in the mountains. The chaos begins almost immediately, from obscene pancakes, mischievous little boys, brownies laced with marijuana, wedding cake disaster, raccoons and so much more. No matter what disaster awaits, love concurs all and the only thing that matters is they get to spend the rest of their lives together.
I love finding out what happens after the HEA, and this Story of Love is a delightful peak into Josh and Riley's wedding adventure. It is finally their big day and they are looking forward to the wedding of their dreams with their beloved family and friends. Unfortunately for them, what ever could go wrong, did go wrong! From wild critters, overly helpful children, and so many more hurdles that tested their patience, creativity, and love. But what I love most about Foster's stories are the close family and friends who are unconditionally loyal, and supportive and will do anything for those they love. This funny, heartwarming, and steamy story made me completely happy! B.J. Harrison continues to narrate this heartfelt, and delightful series. His voice is soothing as he swept me away with all the fun, excitement and passion. He really makes this an enjoyable quick listen, as he brings these characters and to life.
This beautiful wedding novella is filled with more twists and turns than a roller coaster ride. It brings both tears and laugh out loud moments. Josh and Riley are finally getting married in Weston, CO. They have returned home from their thriving fashion business in NY to say their vows in front of family and friends. Their well planned event is fraught with setbacks. You will thoroughly enjoy this fantastic Melissa book.
What a great way to catch up than a wedding. We are at Josh and Riley's wedding at the venue his mother and father got married. This also introduces to Charlotte Sterling the owner. There are a few mishaps along the way, that if it was any one else they would of crumbled and cancelled the wedding. Instead its taken as it and makes for a great listen and had me smiling as I listened to BJ Harrison who is a great narrator. A lovely end of the book from Hal
This novella is part of The Bradens Series. I recommend you to listen to this Series in order. At least, you should listen to Friendship on Fire (Book 3) before this one. Josh and Riley’s novella is hilarious, sweet, and beautiful. The supporting characters are amazing. I love the family bonds and the friendship in this Series. I loved it! This is another fantastic addition to the Series. BJ Harrison did a good job with the narration.
Love Josh and Riley ❤️ - Audiobook Review 🎧 I love whenever the Bradens get together, and this story was no different. I love catching up with the entire family! No matter what happens, love conquers all and nothing gets in the way of Josh and Riley's wedding. They are such a loving, sexy couple! As always in these novellas, I wish they were longer because I can't get enough of the Bradens. Narration was great as always! Looking forward to the next book.
Melissa Foster writes beautiful stories about love, friends and family. The characters are believable and easy to like, and the storylines keep you reading until the last page. I would recommend this series to anyone who loves good romance and great family dynamics.
This maybe my favorite story in this series so far. This family has fun, crazy and loving adventures. Please start at book one and enjoy these unbelievable weddings, mishaps, romances and so much love. I highly recommend you start at book one a d continue on to many funny and entertaining reading🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💖💖💖💖💖
Loved seeing the last of Hal Braden’s children get their dream come true. This was definitely an emotional story with Josh & Riley’s secret. Loved the antics that happened because of the brownies, it was hilarious. I also enjoyed the sweet part of Hal as he reminisced about his wedding to his late wife. Definitely recommend
You'll need your tissues at the ready for this book, it will be tears of joy a little sadness happiness and laughter. We catch up with all the Weston Bradens in Josh and Riley's wedding weekend! I'm not saying any more then read fall in love again and laugh out load.
Melissa Foster you outdid yourself with Riley & Josh's wedding! Your imagination truly knows no bounds!!!Thank you for inviting us to their most unusual yet totally delightful wedding!!! I loved it! And more than ever I want to be adopted into the Braden family!!
This book!! It's hysterically romantic, there's no other way to describe it! I LOVED everything about it. Every.single.thing. But the racoons just full out topped it. I laughed so hard I cried! I'm so happy that Josh and Riley finally got to have their wedding--against all odds, I might add!
