Kim works hard for the Mayor of NYC & has little time for a social life. While hanging with two of her friends & their men she realizes she needs to have a man, even if it is only for one night. Cody is a playboy extraordinaire -- he has money, super hot looks, is ex-military, is in great shape & has a reputation for packing a round a love tool that satisfies all the women who get a chance to meet it. Kim is headed to her mother & step-father's South Hampton estate for the weekend for a chance to get away from the city & be at an engagement party for a friend. Cody decides he needs a break from the city too & heads for the South Hampton estate without knowing his step-sister was going to be there. After catching Kim in a very embarrassing position when he arrives things between Cody & Kim are tense. Kim leaves to go meet up with a guy she meet in the city at a local bar but before she can make it out the door Cody wants to know where she is going. Here is another VS. book by Ms Cox and OMG is it hot. It is also about step siblings. It will definitely get your motors running!!
This is the story of Kim and Cody. They are step siblings who only became steps a little over a year ago. They haven’t really spent any time together but they find each other sexually attractive but neither tell the other this. One weekend they both end up at the Hamptons house without knowing the other was going to be there and this is how the forbidden tale starts.
These two tried to stay away from one another but they just couldn’t. The sex was hot, the angst was potent and I loved the realness the story felt between Cody and Kim. There was not just sex ( which was hot hot hot) but the developing relationship between Kim and Cody and how they fought it and why. Do Cody and Kim get their HEA? Kim vs Stepbrother is hot and sweet. She's got a good job and he is her party all night, sleep all day stepbrother. They haven't really spent much time getting to know each other before they both end up at the house in the Hamptons for the weekend. There's no denying the attraction they feel for eachother. But as it becomes more, it just might not be enough to keep them together unless some changes are made. I'm enjoying the journey of watching each girl in this group of friends find their HEA. Another steamy Alexis Angel story. Let's face it ... her grammar and editing may be sloppy but she certainly does erotic love scenes well!
Of course we have a happily ever after, but the road there has a few little turns and twists.
Whilst it was good to see Cody step up, I am not a fan of the whole 'if you love me you will change' thing, I do like it when characters have that metamorphis thing, especially as a result of some introspection.
A quick read after a stressful day!

This book was a little bit of sass along with a whole lot of cocky ..!! Cody is a very conceded person but once he set his eyes on Kim he was determined to get to know her a little better ... what can the Hampton do for them ?

Good quick read. Nice interlude between full length reads.
Steamy, as expected, for a relationship that leans toward taboo.
A few editing misses but nothing that couldn't be worked through.

I received an ARC for Kim Vs. Stepbrother and voluntarily reviewed this book. Kim's friends are all falling in love, and she still does not have anybody in her life. She takes a break from life and her job working for the mayor and drives out to her family home in the Hamptons to spend the weekend, with a date already arranged at a local bar. Who shows up there but her stepbrother, Cody, whom she doesn't know very well. And he caught her doing something she shouldn't be doing in public, but he got a real eyeful. With that image seared in his brain, he makes an excuse to go by the bar where Kim is meeting her date, only to arrive just in time to save her from being drunkenly mauled in the parking lot. When they get home, all bets are off as they let their lust for each other rule the evening and the rest of the weekend. So begins a secret stepbrother-stepsister relationship. How can their minds find what they have together so wrong, when it feels so right to their bodies and especially their hearts?
This is another smoking-hot-sexy-sweet offering from Mona Cox! Hopefully, there will be still more of these guys coming out of the woodwork (to be devoured much like chocolates!!!) because I would hate to see an end to this series, but I am sure there will be even greater stuff coming our way from Mona Cox/Alexis Angel, never fear! ;-D

This book was hot from beginning to the end. I love books that deal with taboo and this one just hit the spot.
Kim is going to the Hamptons to relax. She really would love to find a man just like her friends have. She would love to have a man just like her stepbrother Cody but she knows that she can't have him. She gets to the Hamptons and she's really having a relaxing experience when she is caught by her stepbrother Cody.
Cody is tired of all the women just wanting his money. He is just tired of everything and just wants to get away. So he decides to go to the Hamptons. When he gets there his stepsister is there. He has always wanted her but when he see's what she's doing, things changes.
They know that what they are doing is taboo but they burn hot for each other. This is one hot and drippy read. I just can't seem to get enough of this author's series that she is writing. I love that we get a story about all these women and get an update on what is going on with the other women from the first books. It makes me feel like I'm getting a more in depth with the characters.
This author sure knows how to keep my attention and it keeps me coming back for more. I can't wait for the next book to come out.

I think this book could have been a bit more. There was a story there. However, the author didn't get to it until you are 90% into the book.
The book is mainly covers the sex scene's Kim & Cody have. SO, if you are just interested in hot sex scene's this book has it.
Kim works in the Mayor's office in NYC. And she needs a break from the city life, and goes to her families home in the Hampton's. Cody also has the need to escape from NYC the same weekend. They both wind up in the Hampton's at the families house. Cody seems to be drawn to Kim although he tries to stay away. Kim's mom married Cody's dad a year or two years ago, and they - Kim & Cody are already in their twenties, so, this isn't a incest relationship, they just happen to be related now through marriage.
However, as I said, I think the story of Kim & Cody was there, but, we just didn't get to it. I feel underwhelmed with this one.

Stepbrothers....you either love them or hate them. Temptation is a terrible thing, well it is in the case of having a stepbrother like him, Cody Brooks. But Kim has to be strong and resist but noooo he looks so good . Needing a break, she goes to the Hamptons, not realising Cody is there. Oh dear, temptation is rearing its ugly head again. The story of Cody and Kim, fighting their urges, not for long though. A hot sexy story, that is quite drippy in parts. Cody was such a playboy but you couldn't help but like him, especially when he realised he couldn't carry on the way he did. He needed to man up more for Kim. So all he will have to do is just prove it right!!!!! Very enjoyable.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. The next installment of the VS series by Mona Cox is the story of Kim and Cody. They are step siblings who only became such a little over a year ago. And they haven't really spent any time together. Until one fateful weekend in the Hampton's. From there they are not able to stay away from one another. This story was great. It was funny at times with some of the things Cody says and interesting with the challenge Kim gives Cody. I liked how Cody was willing to get his act together for Kim and how Kim realized that even though their parents may be married it really isn't wrong. Loved what Kim's mother tells her once Kim confesses her feelings for Cody do her Mom. I truly loved the HEA! I look forward to more books in the series.

Kim and Cody are barely stepsiblings - it's barely been a year, and they don't really know each other. In fact, they've barely spent any time together. But one day, they both end up at the Hamptons trying to get away for a bit, and suddenly they're really seeing each other for the first time. They know they're crossing a line, but they can't seem to escape that magnetic pull. Their chemistry is explosive, and I loved the drama and angst in the book. My first Mona Cox book. Everything I was expecting and so much more. Steamy!! Just reading it set my sheets on fire! I now see for myself why her books are so popular.

The lure of the forbidden. Sometimes something so wrong is so very right. This is a super-quick, fun read. These two are fantastic together. Over-achiever Kim gives Cody a reason to want to try the straight-and-narrow, and life-of-the-party Cody shows Kim that it's okay to lighten up and let go once in a while. I loved the sassy banter back and forth and the encounters between them were so hot they just about fried my reader. As their circle of friends continues to grow, I look forward to reading the new pairings.

I didn't think it was possible but Mona Cox has done it again and the reads keep getting better and better. This one is about Kim and her stepbrother Cody. What I love about these books is there is no cheating, little drama if any, plenty of steamy steamy scenes and a story of two people who are in lust at first sight but ultimately fall in love reaching their HEA. There are also plenty of chuckles (especially in the beginning) as Kim and Cody navigate their relationship as told from both POV's. Highly recommended !!

I got this as an ARC for my honest review. Each book by Mona just gets better and better. I like how confident and bold that Kim is. She does seems to blush a lot but she never backs down. She makes her own demands of her lover. Cody is the playboy and alpha male, but it seems he is getting a little tired of playing the game. He has his eyes set on his prey and he is worried about stepping over the line. Who knows if they will get their HEA with all that is going on.
