good intro for projects but they are VERY very BASIC....
Like...Using Lego Mindstorm (okay that's a bit more advanced), but it's stuff like adding up the points for Scrabble games, making kites, origami, lego's in math, Minecraft (2 separate programs), probability carnival games (this one makes a lot of sense to use), and bridge building.... For me, I wouldn't have thought about the math in some of these....But I wish the book went a LITTLE bit further into hands-on projects for this subject
If I could give this a 0, I would. Total waste of money & time. Author's credentials are ridiculous: a teaching assistant....involved with many math projects AS A MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENT? WHAT???? Zero helpful information contained in this book.
Basically, the publisher, Rosen YA, is trying to crank books on trending topics, and I'm a sucker for buying this book for my library.
