Wubba Lubba dub-dub!

5 out of 5.

Really interesting, as meta as the show, and a great guide for anyone interested in either drawing all these characters themselves, or the process of creating and developing characters and a show.

Now to wait another year or so for the show to come back.

This is an insightful look into Rick and Morty, it's brilliantly put together and an absolute joy to read. The book is packed full of amazing art and a ton of information about the production of the show. The accompanying text maintains the tone of the show and actually made me laugh out loud on a few occasions. It's amazing the amount of time, effort and care that is put into Rick and Morty, the book really made me appreciate the show even more. If you like Rick and Morty you need this book!

It's so fun seeing how they have created everything, how much effort they put in designing every detail, every character, every universe. Mind blown dawg!

Eh, I don't know...I've seen worse art books, but I've also seen better ones. I think part of the problem with Rick & Morty is that there's just too much stuff to fit into a single book of a reasonable length. One of the things the book made me realize is just how many character designs have been packed into the first two episodes of the show, and while I would've liked to see them go into a lot more detail about all of it, I guess I can understand why they chose not to. The book perhaps whets the appetite more than it satisfies it.

Albumy „The Art of Rick and Morty” vol.

Obejmuje m.in. sztukę produkcyjną z nagrodzonych Emmy odcinków „Pickle Rick” i „The Vat of Acid Episode”.

A very nice artbook about the Rick and Morty series from Adult Swim. Inside you can find not so much conceptual drawings but the entire instruction how to draw the main characters from the series, it is also illustrated every aspect of the world, from characters and aliens to vehicles, buildings and equipment. A lot of fun and nice hours to admire the craftsmanship and finesse of the creators.

see this Morty, this reader over here, who is typing this review, he will going to bash this awesome creation of Justin Roiland. so you want to know who is Justin Roiland Morty? he is just like me Morty. but he is the God of us while we Gods in our own worlds. now coming to this guy who is trying to review this masterpiece called, The Art of Rick and Morty, in his mind, he wants to write one single line: 'This book is only for the fans of our show Rick and Morty', but I tricked him to write this lengthy review, that's the level of my genius Morty. I can break the fourth wall and can also control the reviewers' minds as well, rickety swifity schwaz... Wubbalubbadubdub. now get into the ship you piece of shit, we have another adventure to finish.

this was a good collection of artwork and sketches for one of my favorite adult artoons. the blurbs werent really needed but it was super neat to see some storyboards and original concept artwork. the cover is my ultimate favorite compotent to this piece. the cover to my copy has rick and morty on the cover but the rest is complete blank white with... GLOW IN THE DARK designs of all the characters. rad surprise. radical idea.

I liked it overall. It was nice to see an overview of how Rick and Morty is made.
Although, I sensed that the explanations were lacking. The creators just threw a bunch of images and gave very little explanation about the decision process.

"This was the end result", "Yeah we just made a bunch of scrotum aliens, we thought it was funny".

I imagine they tried to be funny, I don't think there is a lack of professionalism in what they do, but in my case I was left disappointed.

Fantastic art book with in depth behind the scenes look at the making of the show. Detailed concept art and interesting tid bits make this a schwifty ready for any Rick & Morty fan. Justin Roiland is truly a creative and zany dude and gives you small glimpse into his creative process with this book.

Some lazy and repetitive writing, especially in the forward. When there's so little writing, make it count! However, the production notes, rationales, style guides, and production trivia were all quite interesting. I came out with a new appreciation for the attention to detail in a show that looks and feels more by-the-seat-of-its-pants than it really is. I just wish there was more of that.

A beautiful product of a book and a fascinating insight into the production of the show. You can tell that this book was lovingly put together and really shows how much fun and thought goes into creating the series. All of the artwork is stunningly presented and annotated with notes of how it was all inspired and ultimately finalised and put together into what we see on the screen.

I've always liked looking at concept art for shows and video games, this one includes a whole bunch of cool facts and stories from the development of the series. It really helps you understand why it is so massive and expensive to produce.

This book was my introduction to the world of Rick and Morty. Reading the character process was interesting. There are lots of sketches and colour illustrations.

This book is probably best suited to true fans. I enjoyed reading the character development but had no context for any of them.

Exactly what an art book should be. Filled to the brim with concept and turnaround art, background information is concise and introductions are done from the characters point of view. Makes for a much more enjoyable experience.

An interesting look at the thoughts and processes behind the scenes of this crazy show. The art is not super beautiful, as per the show, but I must give this to it: It made me want to watch the show all over again.

It's the one and only art book I have ever gone through. I don't really read about art or spend much time looking at it, but it's Rick and Morty, I just couldn't resist!
