Hi Everyone. If you're reading this, it means you want to know more about me, which is good because I like to share. Let's see, I'm a 24 year old writer who started writing because the voices in my head told me to. I would have dream after dream that would play on repeat until I would write them out. And that's how most of my books are born. It all starts with a dream.
um what else? I'm a big dog lover. I have a little shih Tzu called Mikey who likes to pop up on my Facebook page during giveaways. I have a beautiful little girl, Allison who has started her first year of school this year. She loves reading just as much as I do and seems to enjoy paranormal too.

The end is nigh

Well, the next book is expected out sometime vaguely in the second half of 2018, so the bottom line is that this is so far away in the distant future in terms of following a series that I'm fairly confident I'll never get to it. I wish I had checked this out prior to getting invested in the series and I could have saved myself some time. This phenomena is a real issue for me with authors who write a number of series simultaneously which leaves the reader with an incredibly disjointed story. Colour me bereft.

I really like the story, but I agree that the editing is an issue (and I can overlook a lot of typos) . The third book was better than the second regarding typos however. You can tell the author made a real effort.
In addition, some of the thought processes and dialog is pretty juvenile. It's hard to watch these teenagers dealing with such adult topics as sex, love, parenthood, and saving the world when they communicate as middle schoolers.

A bit more maturity was shown

Good news, bad news.

Good news is that the h is showing a little more backbone. Bad news is she is still lacking in maturity in many ways. This girl (I'm not calling her a woman till she pulls her head out) is still making rash decisions without including the guys. The very guys who supposed to be big, bad and tough. Oddly, it's like all the guys are an afterthought in this installation. The writing is either improving or I'm getting used to all the POVs swapping around. When you are trying to do POV and you have 1 h, 7-8H, a couple father figures ... It gets muddied quickly. It's like reading whiplash. We're back to high school drama again, too. Why this girl has to go back, I don't know. Could she not complete studies online? Get her GED? I'm not trying to pick everything apart but she's supposed to be this savior of the elementals, have the strength of angels and protect the humans and so far she's like Daphne from the Scooby gang and always being kidnapped and making bad choices. She has 4 bonded, 3-4 potential bonds, a surprise father in law, her grandad, a host of other elementals and angels to assist her and she's still trying to go solo instead of playing her strengths. She also has shown zero leadership skills. She's also in rabbit phase of her pregnancy, has stated so a few times, and yet is barely showing affection to her guys. It's like cognitive dissonance in book form. I wasn't sure I was going to read book 3 because I've not been very happy with 1&2. I'm still debating the rest of the series but it's almost like I have to because I passed the halfway point? I'll probably read them just because I'm not a quitter lol. Fingers crossed that the h grows up, at least trains in her abilities, starts listening to the centuries of experience at her disposal and will be around long enough to raise the kids she's pregnant with.

I'm not usually so harsh with reviews but so many things about this series just really gets to me.

Evie's father Max intends to sacrifice her to demons for a chance at getting his bonded back. And, get this, the soul of his bonded will have to go into Evie's body. If that doesn’t scream 'disturbing', I don’t know what does.
And while the guys are planning how to save Evie, they are also worried about Dane, who's not waking up after being stabbed.

So, the first thing that is worth mentioning is that they finally got an editor and it really made a difference. The work wasn't perfect but it was noticeably easier to read.

The plot was better in this book, there wasn't so much drama here, more like a concentration on already existing problems. It was more like a story about reunions. Everyone's past seem to want to remind about itself, old acquaintances showing up.

The writing style was okey and the only thing really bugging me was the constant switch between the POV. It's great that we get to see things from everyone's perspective, but not this way. One moment we are in the middle of an important conversation and the next thing you know we have switched to another POV in a different location altogether. It made it hard for me to concentrate on a story.
Other that that, I think that the story is going in the right direction and the writing is improving. And Evie did not get kidnaped at the end!

Oh Evie...

What a story!!! This series has been a.... well series of ups and downs! Surprises keep popping up right along with more bonded for Evie. Her trust keeps being tested and she keeps suffering heartache 😕 She is betrayed and even though we can guess by whom it will be by, the resolving of the situation leaves you in disbelief just as it does Evie ♡ I can't possibly choose a favorite character. They're all so protective, but completely clueless at times. There were a few laugh out loud moments such as “Dude, this isn’t right. I’m walking around the store carrying bras and underwear for women. The sales chick is coming our way,”!!! Ms. White can sure write with wit, stamina, snarkiness, sensuality and sensibility. Her novels are always creatively detailed and highly entertaining. She's the kind of writer that you stay up late reading and let the dishes pile up for. I'm sad to finish this one as the next is still so far away......

Well, I actually thought this was the final book which is why I kept reading til the end, but apparently it isn't. I like the general plot of the book and am curious about how it'll all play out, but Evie's character is quite hard to stomach. All she seems to do is whine and get mad at everybody for babying her and keeping secrets from her, yet she can't even be by herself for more than 20 mins without being/almost being kidnapped. Then she spends the rest of her time crying that everybody hates her even tho she can literally feel what everyone is feeling. Anyways, will possibly continue with series just to finally see her exist with her kids, without the constant drama continuously being piled on top of her.

I would give this book a 4 star for storytelling, but only a 2 star for writing, so I settled for a 3. This series is so frustrating; it needs major editing. This has been an issue the entire series. Again, I offer free services. I may miss some of the more obscure grammatical rules, but I could clean up the typos, incorrect word usage, add commas where needed, etc. If I didn't love the story and believe in the charaters I would have given up on this series by now. Enough of the complaining and on to the review!

Pure Elemental picks up exactly where book 2 left off. Evie has been kidnapped by her father, and being held with Christian and Zach. Once again the book has a nice balance between action and relationship building. There's plenty of angst. Several new characters are introduced; the return of a parent and 2 new bonds. We finally find out the total number of bonds which was nice. I was afraid that they would just keep coming. We do get more background information on a couple of the guys adding layer to their stories. Evie's pregnancy progresses and brings a high level of hormones producing major breakdowns.

There's conflict between Evie and her original bonds, so we don't get as much time as I would have liked with them. They were missing too much in this book and aren't as committed to Evie as I would like. Ky continues to be one of my favorites. Again I have issues with Dane. They are supposed to have the strongest bond, yet I don't feel it. He seems closer to Zach. While I have no issue with m/m, it feels like they both care more for each other than for Evie. Fair or not, it bothers me. Also, he proved again that he can't be totally trusted to not hurt her with his choices. Their relationship needs improving if I am to believe their bond is the most true. I love the closeness between Evie and Christian. Even with the barrier between their bond, this is a believable relationship. Jeremy is a fascinating add.

The story has some inconsistencies, but is absolutely entertaining. It's strangely addictive. It ends on a cliffnote building suspense for the next books. I will continue reading, because I need to know (not now) how the story plays out for the world and for Evie and the guys, but please clean it up before the book is published.

I received a free advanced reader copy of this book and voluntarily decided to review it

I love this series of books, it love the relationships between Evie and her guys, and that she has so many mates.

The story is fast paced, exciting, romantic and I love all the different POVs. Action packed I highly recommend. Tamara White is a talented writer and I am looking forward to the next book in this series and also to reading future books that she writes, she is now one of my favourite authors and her books just seem to get better

Storyline still good. Still too many mistakes though

Not being one to jump on the bandwagon i didn't bother posting reviews about the first 2 books and commenting on the spelling and grammar mistakes. I enjoyed the storyline so ignored the mistakes but by book 3 you would hope they would have been sorted out. Sadly not.
If you are going to use similar names such as Catherine and Caroline at least get the characters right! Very confusing scene when Dane is talking about both girls and their names are mixed up.
I still enjoy the storyline but please sort out the mistakes!

Fantastic end to the elementals trilogy! Better that books 1&2 and tied every part of the plot by the end. Don't want to spoil the story, but it was a HEA full of romance, paranormal, and lots of twists! Five glittery stars!

This book had a vast improvement with editing. There were still some errors here and there but much better than the first two. I'm really enjoying the story and can't wait to see what's going to happen next. There's lot of action and suspense.

Great series

I love this series. It's great all around. But the grammar could use some work. All three books so far have had a lot of grammar issues.
