Harry is overwhelmed by his own power and fame and angst, so he's become a hermit. Draco Malfoy is tired of the melodrama.

The Way Down: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

lettered

Tropes:
– Draco/Harry fanfiction
– Friends to lovers
– Mental health rep

This was really beautiful. Harry is dealing with a lot of mental health issues and has isolated himself from the world when all of a sudden Draco Malfoy decides that he of all people is going to keep visiting Harry and pull him out of this pit of despair that he has found himself in.

The way that Draco sort of helps him out of the straight up depression that Harry is in was just handled so well and so patiently and beautifully. Not to mention this author is writing is always very funny and enjoyable to read so there were bits of humor mixed in there as well, which made it a very light and refreshing read at times, but also just very touching overall.

Harry was just so sweet to Draco and a really good friend and partner when it finally came around that and I really enjoyed seeing him like that. I appreciate it that Draco never treated him any differently just because he was the chosen one and I think that’s what Harry I really needed to get out of his funk anyway so it all worked out wonderfully.

Enjoyed this very much!!

Beautiful. The most pure, both easy and complicated. All early conversations are incredibly loaded but cryptic, poetic in it's own. Lovely. Bittersweet, heart opening, healing.

Loved this fic. One of my fave Drarry fics for sure. Very sweet, very insightful, very realistic and pragmatic about emotions and trauma without being melodramatic. And beautiful writing as always!
