Perfection

Rate this book
Perfection is about an episode of religious fanaticism in sixteenth century Germany. A group of Dutch Anabaptists become convinced that the world is about to end and Heaven will be set up on earth, and then that they themselves are called to set it up.
By the time "Heaven" collapses, they have remade the laws, moved from communism to absolute kingship and established polygamy. They story is but a microcosim of what is playing out in today's society where religion and ideology have replaced geographical boundaries in world-wide war games.
