Rockstar Daddy

Rate this book
Never trust a cold condom.

Wait, let me back up. I'm Kellan McGuire, and I'm a rockstar in hiding, at least for the weekend. Enter Maggie Kelly, the famed Kelly virgin - AKA my small hometown's favorite good girl.

Did I mention she's really good? And I'm so...not.

Except Maggie isn't a virgin any longer. She actually just went through a rough breakup due to her ex's penchant for strippers.

And I don't want to be a rockstar this weekend. Not with her.

I just want to be Kellan, the wolf to her Little Red Riding Hood. The guy who shows her all the dark, dirty things she never dared to dream.

In return, she gave me something I never dared to dream about either - a baby.

A family.

Our family, if I can convince her I'm worth the risk.

Author's note: this book may be called Rockstar Daddy, but the emphasis is on lots of babymaking practice, laughter, a few tears, and a serious case of insta-love.

Sweet and sexy with a dash of rockstar.

Kellan is right on the brink of rock stardom and he just wants a few days’ rest, to be himself without the rocker façade, alone, enjoying his beer and cabin in the woods on the outskirts of his hometown, but when an odd yet incredibly sexy damsel in distress crashes her car in ditch in front of his cabin on New Year’s Eve in the middle of a snowstorm they’re forced to spend a night together that will change their lives forever.
“She was mouthy and vibrant and I couldn’t for the life of me figure out my reaction to her.”

Kellan is immediately captivated by her sassy innocence and the fact that she doesn’t know of him, not to mention her rocking curves. Coveting the fact that she sees his true self without stars nor money signs in her eyes, he lies knowing he’s unworthy of her and expecting to never see her again because of his career choice, but one night just isn’t enough because she’s gotten under his skin and into his heart. Can he convince the town’s good girl to give him a chance even when they’re living on opposite sides of the country?
“Being with Maggie last night had been refreshing. I’d grown numb to all the plastic and glitz that made up my world until I was confronted by Maggie’s honesty. Everything about her was intoxicating.”

There’s nothing better than a hot rockstar romance than a hot rockstar romance with some sweet and hilarity mixed in. These two characters were very easy to like, especially Maggie and her smart mouth. She was a totally hoot that had me constantly laughing, she was also strong and this combination was perfect balance for gruff hero. The banter between them was wonderful, it had a very natural flow that gave the insta-love weight.
“She wasn’t just kind and smart and curious and beautiful. She was naughty as hell and eager to learn everything I wanted to teach. Fuck if she wasn’t my perfect woman, wrapped up in a smart-assed bow.”
_____________________________
“You just intimidated me. So big and pseudo-mean, when underneath you’re soft and squishy like brownie mix.”

Even though the attraction and connection was there, they still had several obstacles to overcome. The fact that they had very different career paths on different sides of the country. Kellan didn’t believe he was good enough for her. But then there were all the things that were worth the fight like love, happiness and a baby?

And don’t even get me started on that awesome epilogue!! Rockstar Daddy is quick read. A standalone contemporary rocker romance by Taryn Quinn. Told from both points of view with a happy ending. This is a good read for anyone who’s looking for a light read with a sexy and sweet rocker. I can always count on Cari and Taryn to never miss a beat when it comes to the music and I loved them for it.
“I came back into the song with a low vibrato that grew into a roar. I yanked the microphone stand to the side, nearly dragging it down to the floor as I worked for those last notes. Pulling them out of me as if each one was formed from my blood, sweat, and tears."

Kellan McQuire, 27, plans to spend his New Year’s Eve alone at his cabin with some beer. Do-gooder Maggie Kelly, 22, plans to spend it with a lonely old lady eating baked bread. But when a snowy road derails her car, they end up spending it together.

This was an okay read. Nothing spectacular, but nothing overly problematic either. Mostly, I struggled a bit to get a gauge on the characters. It felt like the writers didn’t have a consistent handle on them either. Kellan mentions just a few too many times how he’s at the cabin to escape fame, yet he hasn’t quite achieved it yet. He has aspirations to be a successful musician, but he’s already grown tired of the business. He was a bit of a paradox.

Maggie too. One minute she was raised not to say swear words, the next she’s letting them flow freely. She has a reputation as a virgin, but she had a boyfriend for four years who she was sleeping with. She seemed a bit flighty too.

“She was all cheerful like a Strawberry Shortcake doll on acid.”

Told via their alternating first person POV, they weren’t unlikable, but they weren’t easy to connect with either. While Maggie was at least consistent, Kellan’s harsher voice in the early chapters didn’t feel like the same character as the softer later ones, though I preferred the later.

I couldn’t help feel that the conflict was a little contrived. Maggie knows and agrees to their relationship being nothing more than a fling, a no strings attached arrangement, so the fact that Kellan withheld the details of his career didn’t seem like it was the betrayal it was made out to be.

“But she seemed ready to fillet my ass and serve it as a garnish for her steak dinner.”

And personally I thought Maggie’s friend overstepped her bounds. Her arrival was knee-jerk drama at the least and illogical at best. (Plane tickets aren’t cheap.)

The duo has a good amount of sexy encounters. There’s no skimping on the love scenes, and the story is safe.

“When he yanked open a bedside drawer and withdrew a strip of condoms, then tore open the first, that was the best sound ever.”

The only turn-off was Kellan’s admission (and more than one occasion reference) that he made out with Maggie’s older sister in high school. Thankfully, they never slept together and there is no OW drama, but it was a bit too close for comfort for me.

Don’t let the title mislead you, as noted in the front matter this is more about the baby making than Kellan’s daddy days, which I wish we could have seen more of. That cover is quite ovary weeping.

Slick's review:

4.5 stars

The nor’easter that blew through that part of the United States his week set the tone well for Taryn Quinn’s Rockstar Daddy. An accident lands to seemingly very different people together in the middle of a blizzard, and they found an interesting way to pass the time.

Back in the town he grew up with Kellan is taking some much needed down time before he has to meet the obligations of his recording company. His band Wilder Mind is poised to head into the stratosphere and spending time in his cabin in upstate New York is just what he needs, what he doesn’t need is the young woman who skids into a ditch right outside of his cabin.

All Maggie wanted to do was get her bread delivered to the widow down the road and get home to enjoy New Year’s Eve watching television and reading in her pj’s, but the deer in the road keep her from that mission and instead she ends up being saved by a man who could be a serial killer or a bum.

I don’t want to spoil this story, but I will say that Kellan and Maggie spend a lot of time matching wits and end up enjoying each other fully. Their connection was intense, their parting less than wonderful, and being on opposite ends of the U.S. doesn’t help. I enjoyed watching them try and figure out what they wanted when they were both scared of everything they were feeling.

Intense and sexy I loved this blizzard bound love story!

This was a light and funny rock romance that was sweet with a little sin mixed in. Kellan is on a break from his band that is just beginning to take off. He needed some alone time at his cabin back home in the small town he grew up in over New Year’s Eve. Having the smart mouth, sexy Maggie Kelly put her car in the snow ditch wasn’t in his plans but when its Maggie who lets it known that she is just off from a breakup with longtime boyfriend who cheated on her and would like very much to get the good looking grouchy guy in bed, who is he to say no to that. Maggie has no idea that Kellan is a rock star on the rise and he isn’t one to tell her. Kellan has known the Kelly family for years since they live in a small town; it’s just that he’s older than Maggie and knew of her when he was after her sister, Maeve.

New Year’s Eve was just the beginning for these two whether they knew it at that time or not. There are secrets and some very hot chemistry between Kellan and Maggie. Will they be able to make things work especially since they are on opposite coasts and Kellan has a diversion to thinking he is worth anything good? This is a quick rock romance with a little something for everyone.

I received this book as an ARC for a freely given and honest review.

Maggie is an open person, girl just speaks her mind, “why? It’s New Year’s Eve. I want to get my party on.” She licked her lips. “I still have one condom left.” Just like that, my ***k stirred..." There are times Maggie doesn't realize she's goading Kellan, "...licking cheese off her fingers, she rose and went to my fridge, yanking open the door and bending over to peer inside. I nearly choked on the hunk of bread and cheese I’d just popped in my mouth. Damn. That *** ." I loved this book, Kellan was just all for Maggie the man didn't look at another woman or anything.

It's the same old story, two stranger that fall in love after the first f***.
NO characters development. The family and friend of the two protagonists appear to be flat without a personality, they are just name on paper. The story is utterly cheesy, and the sex scene are repetitive so I kind of skipped them all after a while.
The writing style was ok, it was really quick to read- considering that I skipped some boring parts. It's like watching a soap-opera: you plug off your mind and bring on the auto-mode. Perfect for lobotomy!

Absolutely loved this laugh out loud romance until I got to the 76% mark and the story abruptly ended. The remaining 24% was filled with samples of the author's other books. Really? I then discovered that I had one of the books so now I'm reading FILTHY SCROOGE! She's such a good writer so I guess she's forgiven. lol But in ROCKSTAR DADDY, I loved what Kellan and Maggie shared in his cabin after he rescued her from a car wreck. But hiding his true identity is going to cause a lot of trouble, for Kellan, when Maggie finds out.

Kellan McGuire decides he needs a quiet respite before his band takes off. He ends up with Maggie Kelly, a quirky local who has crashed her car in the snow. One thing leads to another and they end up spending the night together. Kellan hadn't been looking for happily ever after but he finds he is missing Maggie. What happens when he finds out there time together has created a little surprise.

This was fun but it was hard to wrap my head around how fast they slept together, particularly since Kellan was kind of mean to Maggie from the get go. I am interested in the next book, quite a few characters I enjoyed.

Does the author have a book I don’t like?

Answer? I don’t think so. Loved this one and can’t wait to read to the next one. I have loved everything I’ve read by this author. Honestly, I tend to read so much that I move on from a book and forget to check again when new books come out. Well I came across one of the reviews where someone complained about too much bleepity-bleepity-bleep and I said ohhhh nooooo (as I one click)

That old adage of being at the right place at the right time happens. Well, at least it did for Kellan. After being offered a job with ripper Records as an account representative, he was eventually given his own chance to show his talent and did with the help of his old high school band. Wilder Mind is on the brink of stardom when Kellan decides to take a break over the holidays to escape the stress and returns home, staying at the house he's working on.

Maggie, the youngest of the Kelly siblings and quintessential good girl, is making a delivery to an elderly woman (see, a good girl) when she maneuvers who car to avoid hitting an animal and literally crashes into Kellan's world, err house.

As if that isn't panic inducing enough, it's New Year's Eve, phone reception is not cooperating, and she's worried she just became one of those TSTL women everyone makes fun of. "No, don't go into the woods with just a keychain flashlight. No, don't walk down that dark alleyway." Yeah, you know what I mean. LOL

Thankfully, she will survive, though the experience will change her, and Kellan.

Rockstar Daddy is a fun, super steamy, insta-love rockstar romance, perfect for when you are craving a smutty read! I loved the characters of Kellen and Maggie---their banter and chemistry was off-the-charts and it was fun to see them go head-to-head against one another. There was laugh-out-loud humor and lots of hot, sexy time and both balanced each other out to create the perfect story. Lots of secrets abound and keep our couple apart but in the end, insta-love cannot stop these two from finding their way back to each other. Fans of Taryn Elliott and Cari Quinn's Lost in Oblivion will relish the scenes with Lila Crandall interacting with Kellen (and the rest of his band, Wilder Mind) as we see her hometown roots come out in their long-time friendship. The entire story was an enjoyable read that is not to be missed!

Another rockstar to fall in love with.

Kellen is your typical bad boy and I fell in love with him in the first chapter. I also loved Maggie. The difference between the two characters was very refreshing. My favorite thing about these two is even though they are completely opposite they compliment each other nicely. Kellen makes Maggie want to be just a little bit naughty and Maggie makes Kellen want to be a better man.

The writing is supreme, the story is catchy and entertaining, and the characters are well rounded. One thing I look for in a story is strong dialogue between the characters and this story had that. It was witty and had the perfect balance of thought and dialogue. I absolutely enjoyed this story and I was sucked in from the very beginning. Can't wait to find out what's next!! I'm hoping it's one of the brothers ;)

Hmmm...

This book could have been better. I liked the idea of it, but I'm not really feeling the execution of it.

First, I didn't like Maggie Kelly...at all. If she is an example of a "quirky" character...then I so do not like quirky characters. Are men really attracted to women who babble, who say rude and/or off the wall things, who have no filter and/or are socially retarded? If so, it may explain why I'm single.

To me, there was nothing likeable about Maggie. She was rude, she jumped to conclusions (I don't know why these women can't give the benefit of the doubt to the men they claim to love), and she was irresponsible (what did she think would happen when she willfully neglected to check in with her best friend)?

Of course, I liked the guy in this story. Kellan McGuire is probably your typical misunderstood rockstar. He's no saint, but he's not as bad as people think. He values his privacy (which Maggie accidentally intrudes on) and he doesn't want to be used by women with ulterior motives, women who only want his money or his fame.

So, per my usual, I liked the "hero," but not the "heroine."

Typos and inconsistencies are the bane of my reading experience. The one glaring inconsistency I can recall is Maggie and Kellan are both wearing nothing but towels, but somehow Kellan pulls a page from a tabloid out of his pocket. His towel has pockets? And where did he get the tabloid? (I think Maggie's brother was supposed to give her that "damning evidence," but... yeah.)

It feels like this was supposed to be the start of a series, but there aren't any more Wilder Rock books. It would have been nice to see where this could have gone... hopefully, without the "quirky" female lead.

When I read Rockstar Baby this couple showed up in it. I liked them, so when I realized they seemed to have their own book I wanted to check it out. Sadly this one didn't work for me despite liking them in the other book. From Kellan and Maggie's first meeting to them spending time together they both irritated me, both of them came off dumber than a box of rocks. This one just wasn't for me.

I was actually hesitant to pick this book. Seriously, rocker-baby-mylifesuck-Ineedspace? How cliche could it be? Not to mention, at that moment I was riding a public transport from a very hectic-scheduled work, stuck in the traffic, without proper ventilation, and while elbowing my seatmates as our crawling transport meet some bumps.

But then again, against my previous judgment I started to read it. And behold, I stand corrected!

I was engrossed with the story and forgot my circumstance. I was busy trying to ancipate how Maggie and Kellan get each other under their skin or maybe devour each other. I was hanging to their every banter and sarcasm.

Like when, she asked for help to get off her snowy costume.

“I was referring to my outerwear. In a friendly sort of way.”
“Oh right. Gotcha.” I nodded. “We’ve been like best friends this whole time.”

Or when he handed her the one and only towel after their first encounter:

“No, no, wait! How am I supposed to get dry?”
“I have a feeling you spend plenty of time dry, so figure it out.”

Or when they're getting to know each other:

“Wow, a woman who freely discloses her age and her weight.”
“I’ll also disclose my marital status and my name, if you’d like those too.”

Those were just few of the helluva lot.

The way the author described the heroine with regards to the hero's first impression was also notable. I cannot help not to giggle on this part:

She was dressed as if she was in competition with the Michelin man, except her bulk
was made out of layers. Many layers. She had earmuffs under her hat to go with her
bulky scarf, huge coat, ski pants—likely layered over thermals—and some serious
freaking boots with enough snaps and ties to secure a horse.
And yet she was still jumping around, blowing on her gloved fingers, and laughing like a
crazy person.

“Whoa, that was nuts. I seriously feared for my life. I saw Jesus and heard angels and all
that stuff.” She frowned at her car with its likely bent axel. “I paid extra for the best
snow tires. I still skidded. That seems like a warranty violation. Don’t you think?”

Then it was getting awkward. My seatmates were then busy peaking my reader trying to see what made me smile like a fool. Unfortunately though, the story was getting steamy with elaborate mention of what goes underneath their clothes. As the story progress to boiling hot, as does my face. My nosey seatmates were undeterred even as I made it clear that I don't want them into my business. Anyway, just to make it clear, on my left side was an old on his fiftyish man and on the right was young man on his teens.

It was as though just a blink of an eye but before I knew it, I was home and could not wait any further to continue reading.

It was indeed a great read. Saying that it made my life easier was an understatement. It made me survive my ordeal yah knew. I made it home not grumpy, less tired, and with something to look forward to. As the story progress, I can attest that it was really worth it.

Another point that really pumped me up with this one, is the fact that there was something about the band, the music, the industry, which all define the rockerness of the plot. This definitely set from the other same story line wherein, the hero who was fed up of the lifestyle decided to hole up to somewhere for some semblance of relatively normal life, but no mention of the in and out of the lifestyle of a rocker but just the fact that he was a rocker. Such certainly defeat the whole point of rockstardoom.

You may notice that I made up some word and grammar construction, don't mind me though. I'm hungry but I can't wait to share my thoughts with regards to this.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date March 5, 2017

Badass rockstar hiding out in his isolated cabin in his hometown before his career blows up…biggest cliché ever.

Hot as hell chick who wrecks her car in my ditch? Ditto.

It’s New Year’s Eve, and we’re trapped together in a snowstorm. Hot chick is the small town sweetheart, but she’s honest and fun in a way I never expected.

She doesn’t know I’m a rockstar. So I lie to her. Because she’s seeing me for me, not the money or fame.

We end up naked. The night is incredible, the best of my life. Until I break her heart.

I’m not good enough for her. Not even close. But she makes me yearn…for everything.

Now this badass rockstar is going to be a daddy. And I need to convince the good girl to be mine.

For keeps.

•••

REVIEW: 3.75 stars--ROCKSTAR DADDY co authored by Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott is a stand alone, rock star romance set in the world of Oblivion. This is front man and lead singer for the rock band Wilder Mind Kellan McGuire, and college student Maggie Kelly’s story line.

Told from dual first person points of view (Kellan and Maggie) ROCKSTAR DADDY follows the building relationship between up and coming rock star Kellan McGuire, and pre-law student Maggie Kelly. On a cold and snowy New Year’s Eve Maggie Kelly finds herself in desperate need of help when she lost control of her car on an icy back road in the middle of nowhere. Enter Kellan McGuire, the man who would take control of the situation and Maggie’s heart. What ensues is a one night stand between Kellan and Maggie, and then everything falls apart when Maggie’s would-be rescuers walk in on our couple –together.

Maggie is a strong, vibrant heroine with a propensity to speak before thinking; Kellan is a dark, cynical, brooding and quiet musician who lies by omission the truth about the who and what of his life. Together, Kellan and Maggie are magical; their back and forth banter is sexy and fun.

ROCKSTAR DADDY is a story of second chances; of opposites attract; of one man’s struggle to let go of the past. Maggie’s last relationship ended badly but she never thought she would fall in love with a brooding stranger on New Year’s Eve. Kellan’s star is on the rise and he isn’t willing to sacrifice his future for a one-night kinda fling. But the heart wants what it wants and Kellan is determined to prove to Maggie that he is willing to take on chance on a future together including the surprise announcement that Maggie is expecting their child. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense.

There are a large number of secondary and supporting characters including Maggie’s large extended family, Kellan’s mother, and Maggie’s best friend Kendra who may or may not have an attraction to Maggie’s brother Liam . For cohesion and familiarity Lila Shawcross (Lost in Oblivion) has a cameo role as Wilder Mind’s PR agent.

ROCKSTAR DADDY is a predictable story line but a story line that is full of spice, romance and unforgettable sexual energy. The premise is enjoyable and intoxicating; the characters are spirited and lively; the romance is intimate and sensual. ROCKSTAR DADDY is a great addition to the world of Oblivion and Taryn Elliott’s gods of rock.

What do you get when you combine one gruff, cynical, but sexy rockstar named Kellan and one sweet criminal justice student, kind of quirky regular girl named Maggie? You get rockstar magic, by the queen of dirty, sexy rockstars - Taryn Quinn! Kellan is in the up and coming band, Wilder Mind, and has decided to buy property in his hometown, Turnbull, NY. There's a blizzard going on, though, and that's why Maggie, local girl who grew up on the fringes of Kellan's life, gets her her car stuck in a ditch at the front of Kellan's new vacation cabin. Their first meeting is very meet cute. She's in layers upon layers of clothes, trying to shimmy her way out of her now stuck car, and Kellan is sort of bewildered by her huge smile and by the fact that she's so not worried about her car being stuck in his ditch.

When he lets her stay in his cabin to ride out the blizzard, hot things happen and sure enough the two fall into each other. Then, they fall into each other again a few weeks later when they can't get each other off their minds. But, when her best friend and one of her overprotective brothers come to get her in LA and let slip who Kellan is exactly, Kellan realizes his inability to let someone into his life and his heart has backfired on him in a big way. Then, because the universe is mischievous, they end up with a beautiful surprise, or maybe not a surprise considering the title. But, Kellan has a lot of groveling to do if he wants to get back in her good graces.

I really like the contrast between these two characters. Maggie is vibrant, and sweet, and adorable, and Kellan is grumpy, closed off and scared of his own emotions. They're each other's yin and yang. That's one of my favorite themes: opposites attracting and meshing in really sweet, sexy ways, and Taryn Quinn writes the hell out of this theme.

Can't wait for more rockstar love from Taryn Quinn!

This book was sent to me by the author for an honest review. Since this duo has written so many different books about rock stars, I was curious as to what was going to make this book any different. There were a lot of things that set this book apart. Even though Kellan is an upcoming rock star, this story isn't really set in the Rockstar world. When Kellan first meets Maggie, she doesn't get his interest because of the bundle of clothes she is wearing. When he finally does see what is underneath, he likes what he sees but when he finds out who she is, he is afraid to do anything. Maggie has no idea who he is, which is what he likes the best. He can be himself around her and will know that she likes him for himself, not who he really is. When they are stranded together, the chemistry builds between them right away. When her parents show up to rescue her, she is afraid she will never see Kellan again. Kellan goes back to LA but he can't get Maggie out of his head. After a few weeks of no communication, he finally hears from her and invites her to go visit him. She still has no idea who he is but when she does arrive at his place, she doesn't like what she sees. She feels that he isn't her Kellan but she stays anyways. It's not until it is time for her to return home that she discovers who he really is and she doesn't know what to think or how to feel. She goes back home, only to discover she is pregnant. She doesn't know what she is going to do because she thinks she will never see Kellan again. He makes a quick visit back home because he can't stand not knowing what is really going with Maggie. He realizes he loves her but is afraid she might not feel the same. Due to some scheming on his mother's part, he is set up with Maggie again and knows he can never let her go, especially after he finds out he is going to be a father. The first couple of run ins Kellan has with Maggie's father is funny because of his past with another one of his daughters. Despite Kellan's real life, things remain real between Kellan and Maggie. This book doesn't deal with any drama with groupies or Kellan being a part of the rock star life, which made this book refreshing to read. I liked the ending of the book and the overall storyline. Hopefully there will be more books in this series.

Maggie Kelly and Kellan McGuire meet on New Years Eve by accident, right after Maggie slides into the ditch in front of Kellan's cabin. Kellan, a brooding, tattooed bad boy just wanted some down time alone away from everyone. Since it didn't look like that was going to happen and he's not a total jerk, he offers to let Maggie stay at his cabin until her vehicle can get towed and she can get a ride into town. Maggie accepts seeing as she has no choice with the snow coming down at a rapid pace.

The banter between these two was fun and fresh. You can feel the chemistry between them. Taryn Quinn does a great job developing these characters and making their story work, while throwing a couple of curve balls their way adding more depth to the story.

I enjoyed Rockstar Daddy and I hope you do too.

This is a good read. I think the story stalled a few times which slowed it down for me but I hung in there. There was no question that I would complete it. First of all this is a safe book for those of you bothered by cheating and infidelity. Our hero and heroine were with no other men or women in the book. The hero had been a man-whore but had decided on a break from sleeping with every random woman who came along. He had been celibate for a short while before meeting the heroine.

I have to also comment on the language. It was a bit too much for me. If there is one thing that bothers me it is when a guy calls a woman's body part a word that begins with P. I have always felt the word was degrading and disrespectful.

I actually read this twice in two days. The first time I was quite tired and rushed through it. I decided to give it another shot the following day and liked it better after that. After some of the background was given on the other members of Kellan's band I am not sure I will read any further except for the keyboardist.

1st read, I have read by Taryn ... I prefer cabin Kellan over rock star Kellan ... I think Maggie "Red" is too too cute ... love her to pieces ... she is so funny, quick come back and just so feisty. Some of the comments that Kellan makes in the cable I think are just to egg on Maggie ... I loved that! So many great scenes there ... if only it could have lasted forever .... that made the book in my humble opinion. great read. Loved it! Check it out! Can't wait to read more from Taryn Quinn aka (aka Taryn Elliott and Cari Quinn). Going to find out more about the 2 of them now. ( ;

Lots of Humor

Maggie crashes into a ditch in front of Kellan’s hideaway home. Their chemistry is off the charts and they have a 1 night stand. Kell invites her to California but doesn’t tell her he’s in a band. When she finds out, she considers it lying and returns home. Kellan thinks he’s like his dad and not cut out for domestic life, but his feelings eventually wake him up and prove him wrong. All in all it was surprisingly romantic down to the “low blood sugar” scene when she goes into labor.

This is the first book I have read by Taryn Quinn, but it will not be the last. This book is a fun, sweet, sexy love story. There was a time or two that the pace slowed some but before long it picks back up. Kellan and Maggie seem to be perfect for each other. Maggie has a calming affect on Kellan and he has brought out some of her inner goddess's slutty side. I really enjoyed this book. I can't wait to read the next book.

Rockstar Daddy, (Wilder Rock 1), Taryn Quin

Genre: Romance,
a side spin from the Oblivion series. I usually loved Taryn's stories, especially when she writes with Cari Quinn but this one was a little simple. Its got plenty of heat, lots of erotic encounters but for me they became the story, and there was little else to it – just a series of very hot sex scenes tied in with a tin backstory. For many people that's perfect, for me it needs to be story first.
Another KU purchase

This is a beginner book for the series. The potential book male leads are introduced and given a brief backstory, we get how their journey starts, and we also get a blooming romance. Can make some snap judgements about 2 particular future couples but not sure how their tales are gonna unwind. plan to read more.

When Maggie slides into Kellan's life neither is looking for anything but one night. Maggie is moving past a break up and Kellan is only there for a break before things pick up with the band. One snowy night brings them together but will the connection last?

This was the first book I've read by this author. I will definitely be reading more. I love rockstar romances. This was a great KU read!

Almost 3,5 stars.
It was honest story: rockstar, very man-ho before meeting the h, h, who was cheated by her exbf.
The MC were sassy, funny, sexy...
It was light read, low angst, safe, no others drama.

Oh good gravy!!!! I'm in love with Kellan ( don't tell my husband). This man is allllll man! If his way of lovin' doesn't get your juices flowing, well then, you must be dead. Maggie is my new best friend! To have that one person that can be honest, and to love you through your craziness and even understand accidently adding pressure, that friend would be a God send. The feelings these to have for each other and the way the see their way through it is beautiful (hot too),just (sexy) beautiful! These two ladies have given us another awesome book and two book friends I don't wanna let go!
