Excellent follow up to the first book. I love the tiny references to the Xena arc, and I love where the author is taking us with the whole "soulmate" arc, too. Intense, is how I'd describe Dar & Kerry's love for one another. The twist for Dar had me welling up and forcing back a sob. Lots of emotions being pulled out of me.

I'm gonna leave it at that and continue on with the series...

A good sequel to Tropical Storm. Again, everyone's smiles and expressions are "wry" 90% of the time, but I'm kinda used to it now! Highly enjoyable, if you're going to pick up an uberfic series, get this one.

These books continue to surprise me by how good they are and how sucked into the story I feel. It's ultimately two corporate cyber geeks geeking the heck out for several hundred pages, but this one was even better than the first in many ways in that they really talked about their ghosts and insecurities, had so many tender, domestic moments, and even took their relationship a step further.

Despite the dreary subject (in my opinion), there are still several exciting moments. Kerry makes such a good foil for Dar. This series is also fun in giving me a peek into early 2000's tech and American society, it's so fascinating to see the rigid corporate culture from that time.

I was pretty sure the last book was established that Dar was 30 years old, so I can’t understand all her drama about 15 years in the company, maybe I didn’t get her age right. I’m going to take a break on reading this books, I’m not feeling it and I remember loving them so much once upon a time.

This book gave Dar an “enemy”, and Kerry was there just to complicate things, but at the same time no, because everything that was so awful suddenly wasn’t. Someone comes back from the dead. Dar gets a promotion. Kerry is there. They get a puppy. End.

There is something masochistic about voraciously reading romance novels when you're single. The second installment in Melissa Good's Dar and Kerry series is truly gratifying. There is much tenderness and affection in the novel -- and I am a sucker for those.

Rapidly becoming a series in its own right rather than an AU fanfic, this book is wonderfully fun for one in which not a lot happens but there is a LOT of sappiness. Like book one, not objectively a five-star read but I still enjoy it immensely.

This is the second book in the Dar and Kerry series. The author started writing Xena fan fiction while the show was on hiatus. Later she ventured into Uber Xena fiction and the story of Dar and Kerry was born. The characters look like Xena and Gabrielle, but love in current times and work in IT. There are Easter eggs in the story line from the author’s Xena Fan Fiction but you don’t need to have read any of those stories to appreciate this series of books. This series is my favorite in this genre. I have reread this book many times and this series as a whole more than once. I am currently rereading the entire series as the author recently completed a new book in the series. It is posted online at her website and is being edited for publication. I have all her books as ebooks and most of them as physical books as well. I enjoy each book and rereading them is like visiting an old friend. If you love a romance where two people fall in love and them support each other through think and thin, no matter what life throws at them, or if you are a Xenite/Xena Fan, you’ll enjoy Melissa Good’s series. She writes for different story lines- Xena and Gabrielle (based on the series), Conqueror Xena (where Xena stayed a Conquered), Jess and Dev (Science Fiction on a future earth) and Dar and Kerry. I love all of her series. The books are 5 star for me mostly because I live the characters and have gotten such enjoyment from reading them over the years.

Part of the problem with reading a book for a second time, especially when you have also read the whole series, is that some of the ‘tension and suspense’ is missing. This didn’t spoil the story for me, but it did mean I ended up skipping quite a few pages.

I really enjoy Dar and Kerry’s relationship and it’s nice to not have a romance full of angst, but the best part of the book for me, is when Dar and Kerry interact with others, especially when involved with trying to solve impossible problems.

I originally gave this book 5 stars, but because of the number of pages I skipped through I think 4 is probably a more accurate rating.

This story is amazing I love the characters specially Dar. I wish she was real. One of the things I like about this books are when Dar exes come out of nowhere, my favorite being Shari and obviously the awesome ending. One I didn't expected.
