In the seventh book of the Lex and Amanda series, three years have passed since Lexington Walters and her partner, Amanda, have taken over the care of Lorrie, their rambunctious niece. Amanda's sister, Jeannie, has fully recovered from her debilitating stroke and returns with her fiancé, ready to start a family. Adding to the volatile situation are Amanda's unsuccessful attempts to become pregnant.
Meanwhile, a hostile new relative arrives. He resents everything about Lex, including Amanda's love. Lex's brother, Hubert, recently paroled from prison, returns to Somerville with his own special surprise. And an old adversary returns with more than a simple reunion in mind. Through it all, Lex begins to have doubts about continuing to run the ranch she's worked so hard to build.

16 books94 followersCarrie is a native Texan, born in the Lone Star State in the early sixties. Currently a resident of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, she lives with her partner of 20 years, Jan, whom she legally married in Toronto in September 2003.
Carrie loves to geocache, as well as volunteer her time with a local animal shelter and rescue group. While she enjoys traveling, she likes to spend most of her time at home with her wife and dogs.
She has written nine books in the Somerville series, and has revised and rereleased them as an independent writer.
Carrie has also written four stand-alone romances and has several more planned.

Love this family!
Lex and Amanda are back and how! Their lives are never boring. Siblings, an unexpected visit, a crazy mother, a growing family and many more exciting moments. Lex and Lorrie are like two peas in a pod and they are always into something. It keeps Amanda on her toes. To Hold Forever is a great sequel and I loved every moment. Reading about this family always brightens my day. Well done!

I continue to enjoy the Lexington and Amanda Series. A couple that continues to encounter numerous challenges but it is the resiliency that keeps me entertained and coming back. Lex is a study of a body that just will not quit even when busted. Amanda may be the rock but at times her emotions get the best of her.

My eyes are still leaking! Justice has been served, almost completely!
Carrie L Carr has deepened the story of Lex and Amanda through strife and happiness. Resolution to many issues is on the horizon and I am comforted in that. This has been at times a very difficult series to read, I am confident that this gifted author is going to bring us all home safely.

Enjoyable Read
I enjoyed this book more with the series. I never felt like the story dragged, and it didn’t have as much drama as some of the others. I totally love Lorrie and was happy for Amanda and Lex to actually get pregnant. I do really like the rest of the family as well.

WOW, just WOW!!
There are all kinds of unexpected things going on in this book.
Everything works out in the end, but the journey is pretty incredible.

The seventh book featuturing Lex and Amanda this series get better with each book.
This time we have laughter, birth, a adopted birth, frustration, kidnapping and more.
Carrie L. Carr fun an excellent job writing this and keeping the flow of the story from the beginning right to the end.

Will Lex and Amanda ever get a break? Every time it appears that things are in order, life goes crazy! A must read to the end to see how or who remains standing. Hahaha!

As it should be!
I am a believer in Karma and that you will ultimately be dealt the cards in life one deserves (even if its in a book 😀).
The outcomes in book seven are as they should be. Lex & Amanda deserve peace and happiness so they can love and live thier lives.
