I didn't enjoy this book as much as I wanted to enjoy it. There were too many things I couldn't believe or didn't like;
- The town spends years hating the Meridian family, they even suspect main character TJ Meridian might be responsible for putting poison in a water stream. Yet all is forgiven and forgotten in the course of one night by making some promises and throwing around money?
- There's this one part, can't recall the details but we just conveniently skip ahead in time so there's a lot we miss out on.
- Mare, the second main character finds her biological father. They are both overjoyed and within a few lines of their first meeting Mare is already calling him dad. Sorry, don't believe it.
- The way the psychologist acts, again, I don't believe it.
- Too much cheese.

Overall it was just too unrealistic. Not sure if I'll be reading the sequel.
