I couldn't finish this. Everyone is unlikable and the dialogue between characters feels so unnatural. I don't like the main female character. I made it to page 88 hoping it would get better but I can't read anymore. I don't enjoy how it's written. There are way to many spelling errors that I can't look past. Normally if there are a couple here and there I can get past it but every other page was off. I'm sorry but I HATE this book. I wanted to throw it into the water or over a fence. It sounded so incredibly interesting 😭😭😭😭

interesting first novel, had some very true to life situations and incisive commentary on life across the latino / hispanic experience. more poetic in some parts and lacked some cohesive or binding narration to the conclusion
