For the first time, Mia Asher’s duet series comprising Easy Virtue and Sweetest Venom are available in one complete collection. It’s a story that showcases the most exquisite LOVE triangle with depth, development and heartache. Nothing can prepare readers for the trajectory of this story but it’s one that offers the best kind of angst ridden, emotional reading experience about fear, longing, hope and love. Most of all it’s about a girl called Blaire White.

Blaire is a little girl lost, lonely, a product of her upbringing, always in protection mode, her weapon of choice being her body for which she makes no apology. She made me catch my breath with her self-destructive tendencies, her loathsome behaviour, her uncaring attitude and the blatant misuse of her own heart. Despite all this Mia Asher made me love the female protagonist as she developed with light and shade and, as much as I felt the wreck of her actions and her cruelness, Blaire touched my heart with her inner thoughts, her vulnerabilities and the possibilities of her future. A future that I saw with Ronan or Lawrence.... Lawrence or Ronan...? Two men, very different but equally sexy, attractive and charismatic, and both beautiful in their own, individual way. Who could be the love of Blaire's life? Who could make her complete and heal her troubled soul?

The character transitions are crucial to the story arc and Mia Asher balances her craft to perfection. I totally believed in all the actions, thoughts and feelings of each protagonist and their reasons why, a testament to their depicted motivation. Ronan: the sexy, wears-his-heart-on-his-sleeve photographer, Blaire with all her vulnerabilities and Lawrence the charming billionaire. All three, for different reasons, worked their way into my book heart and engaged my love.

As the layers of the story arc are peeled away and develop in the second part of this duet, the tone and pace is perfectly set and tore through my emotions as the sublime angst and complexities of the narrative took a hold of my senses and made me FEEL so much. I smiled, I laughed, I swooned, I SOBBED, I was torn this way and that, my heart bled and healed and then hurt some more, all in the most wonderful, satisfying manner making this a very special reading experience, one of pure perfection.

I thought I knew the way the story arc would go but the reality of the unravelling was so much more. Mia Asher does not follow all the usual rules of a romance writer. Her characters do things we don’t like, act in ways we wish they wouldn’t. She takes risks and shreds emotion whilst filling her writing canvas with beautiful imagery, complex characters, angstful emotion and gorgeous erotic loveliness. This explosive combination is what makes her stories so special and resonate so clearly.

Penned as a love triangle, the Virtue series will undoubtedly be a hard limit for some readers but for those who embrace the complexities of this theme by following the flow of feelings and decisions and appreciate quality writing that evokes the strongest of BOOK FEELS, then this series is an incredible reading treat and truly not to be missed. The story is crafted in such a way that I could not help but root for all three characters ensuring my feels were attacked in the best possible way. Sweetest Venom is pure perfection and rocked my reading world. Lovers of angst-ridden reads who enjoy the intensity of emotion that a love triangle evokes will not want to miss this awe inspiring, all-consuming PASSIONATE, INTENSE and very, VERY SEXY story.

4.5 The FULL Story Stars
* * * *1/2
In 2014 I found a little book through one of my friends and it became a huge winner for me. It was so good, it was a 5 *****Star Winner. It was sex, hot, and compelling. I read it in one sitting and then was smacked with a HARDCORD CLIFFY!

The NERVE.

I wanted that next book so bad I became a bit of a stalker.
I learned as much as I could about its status and when it was the second part was coming from this talented author. Over the two years, it took for the second part to grace us, there were many steps for Ms. Asher had to go through. When the Highly anticipated book came, we were so excited to get it.

I think the second entry and finish lends itself to this way of receiving it. Not having a two-year break allows you to read it all the way through and digest all of the elements differently than the way I did. The long break between books impacted me in the way the characters behaved and what took place.

The writing is strong and the story layered. It is so worth the read.

h is a gold digger, and she loves two men (H1, H2)

Pros:
This two-book series loaded with angst was unputdownable.

Neutral:
Tug-o’-War kinda love triangle.

Cons:
h's backstory lacked depth.
Too many sex scenes.
The character development on H1 and H2 was inconsistent.

The ending was a bummer b/c she chose the wrong guy, imo.

Blaire White is not your ordinary girl. She's a gold digger and she doesn't even have the slightest remorse for being what she is. The men she's been in a relationship with used her but she used them back. Talk about the ultimate win-win. She has built a wall between her so no men could come so close... so close that they will fall in love with her.

She knows no love.
She needs no love.
And she's willing to hurt anybody who is going to try falling in love with her.

Then two men happened in her life. At. The. Same. Time. One makes her feel loved and cherished, the other comforts her and feeds her luxurious needs. Ronan and Lawrence both complete Blaire. So now, go figure.

I am a Mia Asher newbie and I must say that this author took me by surprise. Mia WOWED me with her brilliant writing! This book-- aside from being well-written-- is very fast-paced. You'll never notice how far you've gone because Mia Asher will make you invest your time, body, and soul into her book.

I'm such a sucker for plots like this, you know? Two guys, one girl and the rest is WWIII. You might say I'm crazy for sacrificing my sanity for some anxiety-filled stories like this but I just enjoy it. The right choice for the heroine wasn't really hard to figure out. Well, that is if we're talking about what's right for her. However, Blaire's mind works differently. This is a battle between hearts and millions of dollars. You think that's easy? Read this book, and you'll get your answer.

Reading Easy Virtue was not EASY. Never. I was actually surprised how my kindle is still alive right now. I resisted the urge to throw it out of the window or bury it into the ground because Blaire is just confusing the hell out of me. One chapter I wanna hug her, the second I just want to grab her by the hair and shake her so she'd come back to her senses. To make the long story short, Mia Asher's writing was so effective it just gives you all the feels, good and bad. This book will legit drive you crazy. Warning though, this read is not for the faint-hearted. If you decide to read this, be ready to take one of the angstiest read of your life.

Two amazing books (Easy Virtue & Sweetest Venom) in one bundle with a super sexy cover. Mia Asher is such an amazing storyteller. She creates great characters you can't decide whether to love or hate. She evokes so many emotions from her readers that you don't know what to do with... I feel like I need a cigarette after reading them. This book is definitely worth picking up. You absolutely fall in love with Ronan, Lawrence, and Blair.
LOVED this story so much and highly recommend one-clicking this one - right now it is only 99 pennies, such a great deal!

Man oh man... Ronan, Lawrence, Lawrence, Ronan... and Blaire .. wow!! It took me awhile to understand Blaire at first I just didn't get why she acted the way she did but later on I guess I got it. At least part way. There is a HEA in this book I just wish EVERYONE got one. I felt bad for one of the characters wishing they got to walk away with their happy ever after too.

The thing I admire most about Mia Asher's writing is that she gives the proverbial middle finger to the rules of romance. She writes what she wants with unconventional story lines and extremely flawed, amoral characters that aren't easy to love. Her books make you feel and those feelings run the gambit of every emotion possible.

I have such a love/hate relationship with the manner in which Asher ends her books. On one hand it is totally brilliant, and on the other hand my heart takes a brutal beating. Even though the characters that I wanted together didn't end up together (the same thing happened to me with Arsen: A Broken Love Story) I still enjoyed this two-book series. A very well-written, angsty, messy love story that I couldn't put down.

good for price

you can never complain if you get 2 books for the price of one so thanks to mia for that.
the book started off great, within the first few pages the story really kicks off (which i like) i reslly felt for blaire and the bad start shes had.
inwas blown away by Ronan, the way he never gave up melted my heart and i was hoping and praying he would get his hea.
Lawrence well what can i say about him...at first i thought he would be this coldhearted domineering man and at the beginning i had hopes for him but he just turned wet after a few chapters. he was my only disappointment in this story so that is why i have only given 4 stars.

These are the first books I’ve read from this author, so she was new to me. I like her writing style and the story intrigued me, hence the 3 🌟.
But unfortunately, I didn’t like the h and I’m not sure whether she successfully redeemed herself or not. The end did not help, it felt rushed and not enough to pack everything up with the MCs.
Then there was also all the cheating and all the sex with other characters, that did not let the true love story shine through.
I totally loved Lawrence...
So, all in all not terrible but also not the best, too much drama and most of it a bit pointless, but I’ll definitely give the author another try with a different book hoping it’ll deliver better 🤞 .

I don't know what I think about this story. I usually can enjoy a book with a similar plot, but I think the depth of the main character's pain/self-hatred and how she chose to deal with it and the ripple effects on others was just really hard to read at times, and then how it ended seemed a bit too simple and easy after everything.

Throughout reading this duet, I had many-a-break-downs. Let me break down the reasoning why:

1. This book was life changing.
2. This book was challenging.
3. This book emotionally destroyed my soul and NEARLY (nearly) made me throw my kindle in the bin.

This was an unconventional story that follows Blaire from the age of 17. She isn’t an overly “likable” character in the beginning, she makes some horrifically toxic, damaging decisions but as you learn to understand her and appreciate her, you find yourself rooting for her (despite at times wanting to completely throttle her).

Blaire sells her body and her soul to fulfil a void and chase a "dream". Believing wholeheartedly that this 'perfect luxury lifestyle' is everything she ever needs in life. What she doesn’t expect to find is a man who will make her question everything. He makes her believe in eternal happiness, the simple life, but her head just won't let her fully give herself to him.

This is a love triangle/why choose romance. But above all, this story was about self-development. Finding true happiness and learning to trust your heart and sometimes, just sometimes, ignoring your head.

The spice in this book was OFF THE CHARTS. And the tension.... the LONGING was just so strong that I actually became to entranced in this story, I completely forgot I have an actual real life to participate in. I don't think I could get sick of these characters if the book continued for 1000 additional pages.

I absolutely FUCKING LOVED IT.

It might even have to be purchased as a trophy so I can read it over and over again.

I’ll be finding every single book written by this author now and adding to my TBR. She has SERIOUS talent.

Do yourself a favour this festive season, and get this up in your grill immediately.

I just finished this duet, and I’m a sobbing wreck! I loved this story so much—how wonderfully amazing it was! In the beginning, I wasn’t so sure, because I just couldn’t relate to the FMC, but I’m so glad I stuck with it, because her growth, to me, was the most rewarding part. This story was way too short for its beauty—I wish it would’ve never ended. I do think the epilogue was WAY too short, but its briefness isn’t enough to award this gem anything but the five (or many more) stars it deserves.

This is a story of emptiness, lack of love (or denial of it), bitterness, misunderstanding, and ultimately, growth—which leads to love, and fulfillment. I rooted for these characters in a way that tore me apart, because I knew there was no way to have total and extreme satisfaction at the end. It’s perplexing, because the very last page in both books is where we get the most content, but the journey to both of those pages is the most rewarding drive! In the first book, the angst was more innocent and hopeful, only to leave me ironically hopeless and torn. The second book was filled with so much apprehension, that I didn’t know where it would end until the very last paragraph, but it is exceptionally cathartic in a very suspenseful way (if that makes any sense).

I never saw this story coming, but I will never forget it. How will I move on, when all I want is MORE?! I’m hoping the author will write a third book so that we get a longer epilogue, or at the very least, give us Laurie’s story! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Blaire is a lonely girl, looking for love. Her boyfriends of choice are rich men, who can pay for her lifestyle and keep her in designer clothing. Until she meets a simple man who changes her world. Ronan is everything she's always wanted and needed. Yet she can't allow herself to have him. He's too much and love is NOT something she's looking for. Blaire pushes him away for a wealthy man, Lawrence - who pays for her company. Somehow fate has it in mind that she can't get away from Ronan. Is it to late for them? Can Blaire make Ronan see that she does love him? Or has he replaced her with someone else? And what about Lawrence?

This woman is amazing and beautiful. Ronan is drawn to her, he is infatuated with her. Their time together, he can never get enough of her. But she breaks his heart. Crushes it, leaving him for another man. Her words stung. And there is no way better to get over a girl than getting under a new girl. Ronan tries to replace Blaire, but she is a drug in his veins that he can't get rid of.

I enjoyed this book. It's been on my kindle for a while - I'm so glad I picked it up. I loved the tension between Ronan and Blaire, I love the fairytale that they weave. The subplot was great too and in the end it was all HEA!! YEAH! The sex in this book is pretty good too. The story is told in Blair, Lawrence, & Ronan's POV.

5 heart stopping, earth shattering, stars

This book, this effing book. I went into this in a way blind. All I had was the cover and the title. Nothing else. I wasn't sure about anything... But once I started reading I was devoured by the words on the pages.
Now that I've finished it I'm feel freaking high.
Blaire broke my heart and the damn chick made me want to choke life out of her. God she made me damned angry!
This story, bleep! This story, it wasn't so much. I was overwhelmed. The author she did a bleeping fantastic job. She wrote a beautiful, ugly, disastrous story. One with a gigantic lesson in it.
I think this is my first read by Mia Asher (and I'm kicking myself for not reading it sooner).
Lawrence and Ranon the two are perfectly imperfect. They both made me fall in love, they both broke and repaired my heart. I've never ever been this conflicted about two characters and my love for them didn't end once I turned that final page, no, it bleeping GREW.
Both have become a favorite in my book boyfriend list.
This book is not only one highly recommend but it's one that I known I will be visiting again.
The raw beauty of it has left me wowed and clearly babbling all over this review.
Thank you, Asher, for this story. For Blaire.

OMG!!!!!!! If there was ever a love story to give you hope......THIS IS IT!!!##

Mia Asher....to say this conclusion to the series is AMAZING is an understatement. I was mad. I was hurt. I was happy. I was sad....you name it, I felt it! But the passion between Blaire and Ronan is so raw and full of emotion that you can help but say, "If I could just feel a fourth of that kind of passion with someone!" This was my first time reading anything by Mia Asher and now I am freaking possessed. I want to dive head first into all her books and live vicariously through her characters.
And I LOVE that this series is not 5-8 books long! I could go on and on but I won't because I'll be rambling. But this book deals with inner pain and how holding on to the past will destroy you. How allowing yourself to get caught up in superficial things will blind you those things that are right in front of you......see I'm rambling again.
I know I've recommended other books but I'm telling you, if you decide to read nothing else, read this one. It is a sure winner!

Wow! Just wow! This book is so full of emotion. Blaire had a not so loving childhood. Blaire is a gold digger with a heart as cold as ice. She doesn’t believe in Love, in which it can only destroy you. Then enters Ronan, their love came freely & made her feel. So she says some hurtful things & makes him leave. Then she moved onto Lawrence. Lawrence is very wealth & attractive. He is aware that she just wants him for his money. They start a relationship with no love but eventually he starts falling for her also. This story follows Blaire’s journey to hopefully following her head & her heart for love!

Prime book for July

I chose this series for my prime free read for July. Nice to read two books, Easy Virtue and Sweetest Venom for free. I thought the second book was a much faster read than the first. I know it's a surface read but my heart was breaking for Blaire towards the end. I really thought her and Ronan would be okay and then his sister stopped by, ugh. I felt the connection with Blaire and Lawrence. Thought they could be the final game. I didn't love some of the things either of the guys said to her at one time or another, pretty rough and horrible.

This is a must read. If you're a lover of LOVE TRIANGLE like I am, I guarantee you'll totally enjoy this Series.
This sexy and erotic but messy heartbreaking, story of Blaire Ronan and Lawrence will have you reaching for the tissues. These three had been through so much pain they were all broken. I felt bad for Blaire because she was so confused. Yes it's possible to be in love with two people at the same time. I loved all three characters but have always rooted for one guy and when things weren't looking too good for my guy, my emotions were at an all time high. I had to put the book aside for a few minutes and listened to some music. Even though my guy didn't get the girl in the end, I still considered this to be an awesome read.

I wasn't so sure about this. Blaire was a little over the top and same with the whole Lawrence plot. Like the dude would give her that huge amount of money for such a short time. She must have had magical/unicorn p@ssy. Ronan is a tad too much instalove, but really sweet, but out of character, turns into an asshole. Anyway. It was an okay read where I started to just skip around because I got kinda bored.

Conflicted

A 5* for being incredibly well written and I book I stayed up late in the night reading. However a 3* because I pretty much hated the heroine. Yes Blaine was screwed up from her childhood, but she was a gold digger and the feminist in me hated that. Also both guys were good and to see them both desperately in love with someone like Blaine was annoying. Would like to see a story from Mia about the one who did not get the girl.

Sweet

I really liked this story, of the love triangle between Blaire, Lawrence and Ronan. I don’t know, at times I didn’t like Blaire but I did understand why she could be so cold hearted to both Lawrence and Ronan. In the beginning I was rooting for Ronan, but then I was definitely team Lawrence. In the end, I was glad she got her HEA but I kind of wished she had stayed with the man that lost out and I thought the ending was too abrupt.

Well, we’re do I start. Easy Virtue will capture you from the first page. It pulled me in and never let me go and I loved every minute of it. So much emotion

The range of emotions I felt reading this book was too much at times that I had to set my Kindle down and walk away for awhile. But I had to know how it ended...
An emotional Rollercoaster that was well worth the ride.
