"how much more of me do i need to be? how much less than what I am?"
For A. is a relatively short collection of romantic and erotic poems centred around themes of loneliness, unrequited love and heartbreak.
I've read AVA's other collection, This Is How You Know I Want You, and I liked this one a bit more! I really liked the illustrations in this book, and I think the writing was just overall a bit stronger. There were some quotes I really liked, for example (aside from the one at the beginning of this review): "... but fear is a monster. fear is that voice in my head i obey too often" and "i alter violently between my love and my sanity".
I don't have anything big or profound to say about this collection other than that I enjoyed reading it and that it had some really cool lines and thoughts woven into it, despite many of the poems being rather average love poems.
