Horribly written, poor editing and awkward conversations
I rarely leave reviews but I felt this book warranted one. The grammar and editing are atrocious. It honestly looks like the author used speech to text to write it. The storyline and character descriptions have unnecessary embellishments. The quotations are left off of half the conversations so it is difficult to tell what is a conversation versus a thought. Oh the conversations...beyond awkward and unbelievable. This is one of the worst written books that I have ever read.
Besides the end being completely rushed my problem with this story was the amount of filler. There was so much description about all the unnecessary things (flowers, train car, farm) that character development was missed.
Billionaire desperately need a son. The plot was the doctor and the billionaire's ex gf wanted to skimmed his wealth so they lied to the billionaire's chosen surrogate mother. Slow story line. Boring.
Not good whatsoever. I pretty skimmed all 300 pages , seemed like it was submitted as a writing prompt for the author. Not interested aaaaat all. Sorry girl.
Also another BIG part that bothered me was we knew that the fmc was black maybe because of the “caramel skin color” but why tf during the basically fade to black intimacy scene, did the author describe her hands as “dark”???? Ummm last time I check caramel does not mean dark and even if it did, why describe it like that?? Seriously confused and not interested whatsoever. Byeeee
This is up there as one of the worst books I've read this year. It is chock full of awkward conversations, the storyline ludicrous and the characters are 2 dimensional. It feels like a book written by a middle school girl who is dreaming of her modern day knight in shining armor.
I'm not even going to talk about the editing and spelling nightmare this book is. This book is a NO.
I found myself telling Jasmine throughout the story not to listen to the lies that were being thrown at her from every end like I was watching a movie!! But when the whole truth was revealed, I have to admit that I didn't completely guess all of the secrets. Great story!!
