Chapter 1-80. Traversing into another world, Zhang Xuan finds himself becoming an honorable teacher. Along with his transcension, a mysterious library appears in his mind. As long as it is something he has seen, regardless of whether it is a human or an object, a book on its weaknesses will be automatically compiled in the library. Thus, he becomes formidable.
"Emperor Zhuoyang, why do you detest wearing your underwear so much? As an emperor, can't you pay a little more attention to your image?" "Fairy Linglong, you can always look for me if you find yourself unable to sleep at night. I am skilled in lullabies!" "And you, Demon Lord Qiankun! Can you cut down on the garlic? Are you trying to kill me with that stench?"
This is an incredible story about teachers and students, grooming and guiding the greatest experts in the world!
Although the worldbuilding and character building and development is awful (worldbuilding seems to be done on whim and not thought through every time a new arc begins) I really enjoy the story and it's one of the few things I read in a long time that actually makes me laugh out loud. No harem here, but lots of face-smacking and OPness, which I'm a big fan of
Library of Heaven’s Path is a translated chinese novel, published by Qidian. After dying Zhang Xuan wakes up to find that he is a teacher in a new world, but one with a horrible reputation. His new world is one where “masters” of teaching, painting, tea making, and other paths dominate life. One can rise to fame by gaining a “star” certification, and for many the requirements are too harsh. However, after Zhang Xuan realises he has an ancient library system in his head that can point out the flaws in everything he sees and touches, climbing the path to the top of the world gets a lot easier. Along with newly acquired students, he journeys around Grand Xia breaking records, leaving his old life behind, and finds a love for teaching.
Zhang Xuan’s library and attitude in the book make for numerous humorous moments. However, there is a lack of character development and somewhat predictable plot. When Zhang Xuan faces trials the library in his head allows him to pass though with quick thinking, but does not change or give rise to new perspectives. This is present throughout the book, and characters remain very static in depth. Overall, Library of Heaven’s Path is a light read. Lack of character development and plot twists make it easy to put down at any time. However, it is filled with funny moments that had me crying. The use of different perspectives in the book to create incidents, internal thoughts, and clear descriptions of where characters were placed made this one of the funniest books I have read. While lacking in depth, it made up for it.
I started this in October and only just finished it.. woops. After death, Zhang Xuan finds himself waking up as a teacher in another world. A very hated teacher, the worst teacher. With his fancy new ability, The Library of Heaven’s Path, he is able to improve his standing and gather some disciples. The story is rather repetitive and the prose is sometimes too, where the same ‘thought’ will be repeated in subsequent paragraphs 3-4 times. It can be predictable at times, Zhang Xuan will get himself out of trouble no doubt, but it is entertaining finding out how exactly he will talk his way out. Good junk food read.
Typical Chinese Webnovel with a Xuanhuan theme having plenty of comedy and OP protagonists. Don’t expect world-building or character development.
The review is for all 18 books comprising 2268 chapters. This is a Chinese web novel, fan translated into English.
The protagonist is isekaied with a library in his head making him an OP character. The world is all about being a teacher and having disciples and he overturns the pecking order at a breathtaking pace with the help of his system. We get plenty of silly slap-in-face situations.
This is brainless stuff but nonetheless entertaining.
Great novel coming from a great author! The translation quality is great and the story itself is interesting. The way the MC behaves really hooked me in reading this novel. Great stuff.
The story was cyclical at times, but that is to be expected of most books in this genre. Despite that I really enjoyed it! I love the Master Teacher focus and the dynamic it brought to the story.
It's my number one favorite chinese novel at this moment followed by "Release that Witch" and "Jun Jiuling" and more. This story has a value and will teach about the meaning of being a teacher. Also this story is funny, I laugh hard sometimes to the point that my friends think I'm crazy. I got addicted to this novel 😁
There's only one thing I can say about this novel.
"Don't ever compare yourself with Zhang Xuan or else your self confidence will only not shatter to pieces it also dissipate to nothingness"
Whenever I first read this it was entertaining, if a bit meandering and boring at times. When I read this recently it was still somewhat entertaining, but so awful to read when it wasn’t (which was often). I would rate this 1 star now.
Third Reading Review: 1.5 stars
Reading this with a friend can be fun. I still think it’s pretty terrible, but it’s much funnier when you have someone to laugh with. If there was substantially less filler/fluff, and the characters were even a bit more rational, this could be really entertaining.
This novel is hilarious and I remember constantly laughing as I read.
It does get repetitive as the series go on and I haven't finished the whole series having abandoned it around chapter 600+ as it was still in the process of being translated. It's also slightly unfortunate that there's not a lot of character growth for MC and the supporting characters are badly fleshed out but overall it's a fun read and one of the best in its genre.
I first read 44 chapters of the manga before I realized that there was a novel. So I was pretty to read the first book in the series. Especially since it was so good. The second time I read this I was listening to it on the Pocket FM app.
