This describes the book exactly. Each time they got close, one of them pulled away. It was frustrating, yet it kept me hooked. It never annoyed or bored me. I just wanted to keep reading and see how they'll fix their mess.
I loved Adriana. She is one the strongest heroines I've read about. She knows how to stand up for herself and she tries hard to voice her feelings. She feels really attracted to Conlon and even if she went to Paris to learn how to be an independent woman, she can't help but find herself wanting more and more of him.
Conlon was an interesting character. I liked that he was honest about his feelings, even if he was scared of commitment. Something is his childhood made him immune to love. But as soon as he meets Adriana he wants more and more of her. He wants to touch her, to feel her, to hold her, to stay with her. And he tries, he really does. But as soon as he realizes he is already in love with her, he...well he fucks it up. But, trust me, you will not blame him once you know his background.
"I wanted inside her mind as well as her body. To press my head to her chest and listen to her heart, because it probably sounds like music."
Conlon was a very intense person. His feelings were intense. his relationship with Adriana was intense. He was also very possessive and strong, and who doesn't like that in a man?

It was a really beautiful story. It had beautiful characters who inspired each other more and more. I especially like Galen, Conlon's brother and I hope, one day, we'll get to know his story. These two were for a long time the only family they had. If you want a light read with beautiful characters who grow up, with just enough touch of angst and with a good background story for each of them, then this book is for you. I would totally recommend this one!

Couldn't get enough
Conlin and Adriana never thought that after a chance encounter so much would happen between them. Adriana has broken up with her boyfriend and left a job she didn't like. With the time on her hands, she decides to finally visit Paris. She's waiting in the airport at a bar while she waits to hear that her flight is boarding. Conlin can't believe what his day has become. He wasn't looking forward to it in the first place but all he wants is to get back home to Paris. Conlin's first flight was canceled and he waiting for the next one. While waiting he decides to head into one of the many airport bars to get a drink and calm down some. Adriana can't believe her eyes when she spots the handsome stranger walking into the bar. She hasn't seen someone so gorgeous in her entire life and can't stop staring at him. Conlin spots Adriana and is surprised by how beautiful she is. He decides to go over and start talking to her but once he does Adriana quickly shuts him down. Once Adriana's flight is called she can't believe that she'll be on the same plane as Conlin. Soon she isn't on the same plane as him but seated next to him. After a few tense moments they begin to talk and then one thing leads to another. Conlin has never felt so strongly for a woman as he has for Adriana but knows that once the flight lands it'll be over before it's begun. Once they arrive in Paris Adriana is ready to get her trip going but is shocked when she sees Conlin waiting for her at the airport exit. Conlin wants to get to know Adriana but is soon interrupted. Adriana isn't planning on seeing Conlin ever again but soon she realizes that Paris isn't as big as she once thought. Conlin and Adriana begin to spend more and more time together until their feelings come into the mix. Will Conlin finally open his heart and realize what love is? Is Adriana going to lose her chance at love now that she's finally found it?

I loved this book from Carina Wilder! When Adriana decides to take a break from her life and head to Paris for a new adventure her plan was pretty simple; see the sights, get away and find herself; not to fall for a man she meets in the airport bar before she boards her plane. But sometimes the best things that happen to us come from the most unexpected situations. Conlon hates wasting time and the trip to New York City to meet with an author about writing a memoir, his peoples' idea, so sitting in the airport waiting for his flight home he is a little surly. All that changes though when he catches sight of Adriana in the bar. Their story starts off with an overheard conversation between brothers where the phrase "big tits Brit" is uttered and to say Adriana is put off is an understatement and she makes him work for her attention, but when it happens these two are electric. But a twisted view on love from Conlon makes it hard if these two want a chance to work. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Adriana spots him too and is dazzled by his striking good looks. When the two meet they get off to a rocky start.
An entertaining plot keeps you intrigued, picturesque vivid scene descriptions wow you and the cast of characters spring to life with engaging dialogue. Conlon's back story is a bit emotional and gives insight to his persona. The romance between Adriana and Conlon is fun, genuine, and sensuously spicy. If you treasure contemporary romance this is a fabulous book for your library. I enjoyed this story so much {I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy}. Without reservations, I recommend this book.

I loved this book!
Adriana has decided that since she's between jobs that she needs to enjoy her freedom and go to Paris for a break! Adriana however meets "Mr.Sexy" in the airport bar but since he's got PLAYER written all over him that he is off limits.
Conlon meets Adriana briefly and he just felt something different with her but she walks away from him?!
They end up sitting next to each other on the plane but when Conlon is picked up at the terminal by a lady...Adriana feels like crap.
By lucky chance of fate they accidentally meet while Conlon is playing football (soccer)....is it fate or just.....

Talk about Ying and Yang with Adrianna and her on again/off again love interest Conlon. Their chance meeting at an airport lounge and their instant attraction is what dreams are made of. Adrianna decides to go to Paris to get away from her ex and rethink what she wants out of life. What she finds is that she wants Conlon, a gorgeous billionaire who has difficulty going with his gut feelings that this is the love of his life. His troubled emotional past and Adrianna's insecurities have each of them wanting to express their feelings but then back away. The frustration level of this is high, knowing how much they each need each other. A great read that I could not put down!!

A girl embraces her new single life by going off to Paris. Of course, the first hottie she feels compelled to romp with is the grumpy British guy who’s also going to Paris.
Her affair begins in the airplane bathroom. Wow, kinky! One quickie and they both feel a connection they can’t let go? C’mon! Unrealistic! Don’t get me wrong, that was one hot encounter.
The narrative was rather witty and clever, although you don’t always get the British lingo.
Overall, this is a nice romance with a few sexy scenes.

No regrets
Good read. Was nice to see the curb on the swearing. I've always thought swearing was a sign of having a lack of something intelligent to say. Would have liked to see a more in-depth ending. The title didn't have anything really to do with the story. Proofreading was good, no cheating or cliffhanger and you get a happy ending. Enjoy

What a wonderful escape
This was one of the most romantic stories I have read in a very long time. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. I have never had a desire to go to Paris until now. So freakin' romantic I can't seem to be able to get Conlon out of my mind.

What I liked about this book because it is fast paced. The book is really bittersweet both trying not to lose their hearts. The couples attraction is amazing even though they were not looking for the same thing. Fate has a way of stepping in and not leaving

Gettin’ Hard
I wish I could give this book an 8, not quite a 10, but a very strong 8! It had romance, a little bit of sex, handsome people struggling with emotions - everything I love in a romance story especially a HEA.

I really liked this story! Both were so intent on not falling in love they didn't even realize they were in love til it was almost too late! Very entertaining!

This is a good standard formula romance. I became a bit bored with it. The back and forth on permanent commitment got old. That made it average.

Another great book from Carina Wilder. I love the change in Genre for this one. This was a really well written book full of love and romance. Great storyline and one that is hard to put down once you start reading. I highly recommend this book.
