Feeling guilty about leaving his brother behind, Alec Whitfield returns to the seventeenth century to visit Charles, all the while secretly hoping that Charles might have changed his mind about moving his family to the future.
After two years of loneliness and solitude, Charles is eager to reunite with the family, but first, he must see to some outstanding personal business. In true Charles fashion, he oversteps the mark, and must pay for his mistake.
To write a novel was a dream of mine since I was a child. Life, my practical nature, and self-doubt got in the way, so it was decades later that an opportunity to write finally presented itself. I honestly didn't think I had what it takes to write a full-length novel, but once I faced the blank screen and my fingers touched the keyboard, everything disappeared except my characters and their surroundings, and suddenly I knew that this was what I was born to do.
Since then, I've written many books and have enjoyed some positive reviews, but sometimes, when I stop to reflect, I'm still amazed that I'm living my dream.

I was sorry to find that so many readers were confused by this novella, but it is probably inevitable when someone walks into the EIGHTH story in a series. This was probably heightened because Book #7, having been written to follow up on a brief comment in an earlier book, was pretty much "stand-alone." The novella form doesn't necessarily have space for a lot of explanation, but readers of Books 1-6 are very familiar with the characters and their disparate time periods. The Winter Solstice was an interesting addition to the Hands of Time Series. The result was disappointing to Alex, but a well-deserved final for his brother. It was a relief not to contemplate the problems Charles would have caused for the rest of the family in the 1780s.
Another will written American colonies historical short story adventure thriller by Irina Shapiro (A Hands of Time Novella). Alex travels back in time to Jamestown to see his brother. When his brother is killed. He brings his brothers children forward to Williamsburg. A very interesting time travel novella that I would recommend this series and author to readers of paranormal novels 👍🔰. Enjoy the adventure of reading or listening to books 📚. 2022 😢👒
I love your books (the Broach Series) but this one left me confused as to who Finn was as well as others. The only two that were plain was Alec and Charles. The rest were all disjointed to me. Names were mentioned but not who or how they fit in. I do love the time travel though and will read Summer Solstice.
Ended before I was ready! Love the Hands of Time Series. The characters are wonderful and you love e every one of them. It was sad to loose one of them. Can't wait for the next book.
The first books were the best obviously but this novella is decent. Alex returns him the past to make amends with his younger brother and some major event occurs .
I will need to look for the rest of this series so that I can assess whether to pursue it. The concept is challenging but the characters are not very exciting.
I have followed this series . I am very disappointed in this novella. Appears to rushed disconnected. I hope the next book in this series will be better.
I'm enjoying visiting the families again. What an adventure they have had. The families have really grown . I recommend these stories for everybodyPerry
