A homeschooling mom by day and hot, steamy romance writer by night, there isn’t an adventure Lora Ann doesn’t mind taking.
The love of travel led her to the career of an international flight attendant as a young adult. And she still loves to travel, although her “wings” are now retired. Spending time with her sons, friends, hiking, and disappearing into the realm of all things possible, are just a few of her favorite things.
Lora does believe in happily-ever-after but knows that it doesn’t come without hard work and fight. Her stories reflect that real-life struggle and those who seek to destroy. Not only does Lora write romance, but she blends in action and adventure, suspense, crime, along with jaw dropping thrillers. Her newest genre is paranormal and dark urban fantasy. Buckle up and get ready for the ride of your life as you dive into her books.
She loves to hear from her readers as much as she loves hearing which book of hers is your favorite. Drop her an email: author.lora.ann@gmail.com
My visual collage is dedicated to Lora Ann. Thanks so much for generously gifting me this ARC!!!! Dark, disturbing, depraved and Ooooo so satisfying in this epic five star read! Enriched in a world of angels, demons, and their continuous battle for our immortal souls, while another battle is taking place within the human world.
One Lora Ann describes perfectly from previous novels. These characters are well developed, you can’t help but fall in love with them.
Like Mitch, va va voom! Yes his glorious hotness gets me smoldering under the collar with his gruff bossiness. Can we say sir I’ve been naughty and have a sassy mouth of my own hahahahha. Then there’s Shelby, I was instantly able to connect with her. Yeah call me a glutton for punishment but I’d love to see more of their back story. Moving on to E and Lacey, they still have that something something extra going on. Then there’s my favorites. Keeley, she still has the monkey on her back and it rides her hard but where’s the fun if I really tell you what those demons are or if they're leap frogging from one person to the next.
Hmmm... I’m also intrigued by all the divine interventions that takes place. Please... please tell me these angels and demons will get a story of their own? Yes, swooning over the possibilities! No my fellow readers I’m not going to spoil the plot, instead I’m going to strongly recommend reading the previous books. But wait, I left out the best for last…...for those of you who has been reading the series, you’re probably curious about Tar? Lets just say sometimes a hero needs a hero and the prize is far too innocent than I’m actually gonna let on. Happy reading enjoy!!!!
What a epic end to this spin off series. I had so many unanswered as from the last 2 books. As always you have had my emotions all over the place just when you think oh thank God something else happens and I'm right back on the edge of my seat again. This story keeps you guessing until the end. But all is is revealed in light. Such a well written written story about jerky and Tar this spin off series has been phenomenal. The last book Dark and Fire we have seen them at war with their own feelings and also with good and evil just to fight to stay alive. Keeley has been to help and back to say the least. Tar has tried to be there for her every step of the way. But that wasn't always enough she had to fight her own demons to be victorious in her own life and if been there with her. You really can't help but get drawn into this story of you haven't read this story you really don't know what your missing. Can't wait to see what you come to next !!
At last Tar & Keeley have their story and what a doozy it is. The very talented Lora Ann takes the reader on a journey filled with all the "feels" one could experience. I cried at the injustice of finding your forever then loosing it due to unforeseen circumstances. I laughed at all the mishaps that can and do happen to poor Tar. I weeped for the love Keeley has for Tar knowing the sacrifices she must make to save that love never knowing if he will "remember" their love. I celebrated loudly at the final revealing of who was in charge of all the nastiness. I joyfully cried when the ending rolled around ~ she gutted me with that one as it was so unexpected but so so beautifully fitting (I'll let you discover that secret).
For the majority of their story Tar is in limbo not knowing what is happening to his beloved Keeley because he has suffered a head injury that basically leaves him unaware of true events occurring around him. His past comes calling in the form of his sneaky, lying, manipulating ex and sister in law. What a true witch (please make that W a B)! I loved how her manipulations come her eventual downfall.
Keeley must enter that dark world of power hungry sadistic people who hunger for the flesh trade that has become a true epidemic in the world we live in today. Kudos to Lora for writing about a very real subject plaguing the world today. Keeley must carefully traverse this darkness as she has a darkness inside herself that feeds on the depravity of the actions of those who peddle flesh. She fights her demons on a daily basis knowing she has to overcome those dark desires to live. I love how Lora showed the mental and physical struggles Keeley goes through as she is fighting not only for her life but for Tar as well. Of course Keeley has a little spiritual help along the way and Lora has set it up nicely to continue this awesome story line in the future.
All of the questions that have remained unanswered through this series will be answered for sure however there are always more after every book ~ lol. I can't say enough about this wonderful story and the amazing Lora Ann. She has truly earned a place on my keeper shelf forevermore.
OMG this was one heck of a ride. When I first starting reading it, I was in awe. I was freaking when Tar hit his head, not once but three times, and once not by his own. And I loved that Kee was stronger. She has fought sooooooo hard all this time. I was glad to see her kick ass. Not only taking Mitch down in an show of strength but taking down the evil that was going on. I love that we got to experience all the Strand and the team together fighting the evil back.
I have to say I was so happy at the end. I was so thrilled that Kee and Tar got to have a family of their own. They deserved it. Thank you Im glad that they all finally, Strand and McNeill found a happy ending.
Wow, wow, wow! What an ending! Light is the conclusion to the Beautiful Ashes Series and is the closure of Tar & Keeley’s story. The good news is there is an HEA! This is a pretty dark series. So, you are forewarned. But, what a STORY, Lora Ann has spun a very good tale. You do need to read Dark first and then Fire before you start to read Light. For that matter, you could go all the way back to reading about the Strand Brothers but, you don’t have to.
I have loved this series and I need to know what’s next Lora Ann? I love your books! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. Oh, I also downloaded and read the Kindle Unlimited version. So, even though I received an ARC. I was able to read the Kindle version so that Lora Ann could get a little something for the time & love that she puts in her books. I give this book 5 Stars and I looked forward to reading more from this author.
This was a stunning ending to a brilliant series! I love books that have strong heroines in them, and boy, is Keeley ever strong! She's flawed, she has issues she's dealing with, but she's strong and never stops fighting!
This book was a classic good vs evil love story, but with a twist. There was a whole other battle going on, unseen by most, in the supernatural dimension. When I say classic good vs evil, I meant it in a literal sense. There was a beautiful portrayal of the unseen. of spiritual warfare, of love vs hate, and the angels assigned to protect us and to do battle for us. I can't put it into words that do it justice, you just really need to read it.
Keeley and Tar have been thru so much in this series, and they've never stopped fighting for each other. This is just a beautiful story of true love, that has to be read to be truly appreciated. Well done, Lora Ann!!
Fantastic ending to a brilliant series, Beautiful Ashes Series is not to be missed. Lora Ann is a superb author who takes you on a ride with her, and deserves every one of the 5* I rated this book. This finalle is fitting for Tar and Keeley, all the ups and downs, all the forces against them, just makes them more determined to be together. With the love and support of their families and the love they have for each other keeps them strong. This book pulls on all the emotiions, and I will admit, I shed a tear or two for this beautiful, broken couple. This is a story of true love in it's raw form. Loved it Lora Ann, you did the story justice, I couldn't put it down, I needed to know if they got their happy ever after. If you want to know also, read the series to find out, you won't be dissapointed :)
This book was Fantastic!!!! Light by Lora Ann is exactly what it says Light against Dark. While Keeley and Tar have been fighting all along for each other, a supernatural war is waging. The challenge is always who will win. In this last installment of the Beautiful Ashes series, you will get the unexpected, it is not just about two people coming together, but about survival. Lora Ann keeps you turning the pages to see what is next.
This is one of the best books I have read in a long time. Take the journey if you dare into the Light. This series is a must read!!!!
OMG!!! What a wonderful ending to a must read series. Lora Ann kept me gripped throughout the book, I couldn't put it down. If you love dark, suspenseful love stories, this is a must read for you.
Lora Ann, has a way of making you fall in love with the characters, even the ones that you dislike. There are many twists and turns, but you are so wrapped up in this emotional dark read, you end up sighing with relief as the story ends. If you haven't started this series, why not??
I will not spoil the story for you, apart from insisting you read this amazing series!!
Light is the final book in the Beautiful Ashes Series by Lora Ann. By now, hopefully you have read Dark and Fire and have watched Keeley and Tar’s story develop and unfold. If you haven’t, what the hell are you waiting for??
In Light, a battle is taking place between the forces of Good and Evil. Good is valiantly trying to protect love and the light it brings, while Evil is snaking its way through the story and weaving its lies all around trying to destroy that Light.
Tar has no recollection of what happened or who Keeley is and what he does recall - it’s spotty at best. Enter the Queen of Evil and Evil’s dark lover, Lisa…. Will he remember who he is? Or will Lisa manipulate her way into Tar’s life in her quest for control and power? Lora Ann writes some of the BEST evil characters! I love to hate them!
Keeley’s addiction to pain is always under the surface, can she save her man without falling prey to the dark demon’s seduction? Lora Ann brings real life situations to the forefront in her very flawed characters. They are so well written – I want more stories of this elite ops team! Mitch and Shelby create some sparks in some dark corners with their fiery passion and push/pull dynamics. Even & Lacey Strand and the family make an appearance to unite in battle to take down the slave ring that is holding Tar’s brother captive.
The Angel and Demon that appear are battling in the background on another realm and make their presence known… oh man! I NEED their story!! Their appearances leave you with chills scattered about the book.
Ms. Lora Ann your writing has only gotten better and this is a beautifully written book of the struggle to overcome weakness, love, and depicts the victorious battle worn warriors and their families. 5 out of 5 stars. Highly recommend!
What can one say about Light? Seems like Amazing just doesn’t cover it. I have loved this author since the Strand Brother Series. I’ve read the two books before, which you must read Dark and Fire. Lora Ann does the Dark so well I loved how even though these stories are fresh and new you get the chance to see old characters you fell in love with.
For Tar and Keely the struggle is real trust me when I say that, no no go read it for yourself. *smiles* I don’t think I’ve pulled so hard for a couple even beyond the reasons of the way Tar acts, Keely almost folds into herself “again” the fight that fate/destiny puts at their feet. I’d began to wonder myself just how much more can they take.
You could just feel the oozing darkness slithering, you kinda wanted to reach in an physically move Tar/Keely out of its path. The old saying what makes you stronger? Yeah I wanna slap that in its face.
Lora wrote their personalities the down and out fight, the need for someone, the need to fight and giving up hope, the beating up one’s self. Then grabbing that little piece of love that shows and holding on to it for dear life, to only feel it snatched from your very hands. How much do you fight? How long do you fight? How many times can one’s soul be bared to the quick and make it up to fight? Lora Ann thank you for the ARC and the chance to read about Tar and Keely I read and reviewed this voluntarily.
The battle between Good and Evil! Lora Ann had me hooked completely with her Strand Brother Series! this spinoff Series is too good to be true. The battle between good and evil plays out so well and incredibly written. The characters you love along with the ones you love to hate. The journey is long, the outcome is Beautiful. I can't thank Lora enough for taking me out of my world and bringing me into hers! Light is the epic battle between Dark forces and Light Forces. Thank you Lora for bringing me with you on this Epic Journey. My love for Tar and Keeley continued through these three books.
Twisting, turning, always ending in a place a place unexpected... The cast as we have come to know...surprises and never lets us down..This is one talented , artistic, mind bending writer..My favorite for sure.....
Merged review:
Not enough stars to cover this one!!!!!!! This Book is twisted and has many unexpected turns....... It gave me a few more Heros as well as villans.........But the ending-- is well OMG!!!! I love LOVE LOVE LOVE this writer and will read more of her books!!! Am hooked!!!
This book is the end of the Beautiful Ashes trilogy which tells Tar and Keeley's story. It is wrought with even more passion than experienced through the Strand Brothers series and successfullyrics brings together characters and storylines across three series by Lora Ann (Strand Brothers, Judgment, and Beautiful Ashes). There is a battle for this couple, their love, and their souls that rages in the physical and spritual realms. This book drives home that our fight is not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers. There is a smooth mix of suspense, erotica and romance that keeps you engaged and not wanting to put this one down. I read each book one after the other and they are not standalone reads . Lora Ann developed characters that we can relate to, as we truly experience them battling their personal demons for the sake of love. Love wins big time. These characters make me believe. The three strand bond of the Strand brothers is impenetrable, and I want that! I hope there is more to come with these characters in future books.
This author is one I found not that long ago. I can see that she writes with enthusiasm and from her heart. The storyline itself is dark but takes you on a journey into the light.. It has you feeling for these two main characters. But.. this is purely the way I felt in some of the scenes. At times I got a little lost when some of the secondary characters came in. It almost felt like I wasn't keeping up, I found myself mixing up who was who.. It just seemed like to much was going on. Now with that said, and honestly it was hard, this is a good story one you should read for yourself. I do enjoy the type of stories she writes and will continue reading her words.
Amazing ending to a fantastic series! Keeley and Tar have fought so hard to be together throughout this series. In this book one of the hardest struggles, fighting love vs hate. Highly recommend this book and series!
