This book is a well organized handbook on palmistry. It is divided into chapters on the subject of lines of the hand, mounds, fingers and hands themselves. It also possesses many pictures of lines and hands for easier interpretation. For example, here's a scan of some of the illustrations.
description
I guess my issue with palmistry is that I find it ever so much harder to get into than the Tarot (which is hard in itself). At least the tarot provides you with images to give you impressions and feelings. Palmistry on the other hand only has lines... not very inspiring is it?

My other issue with this book is that it's very precise, which might lead people to taking the information too literarily? The idea of reading palms and reading the tarot is like dream interpretation. At first it's good to read the dream dictionary, to get a handle on symbolic meanings of images. Equipped with this knowledge it is best to proceed from there with intuition and not direct, word-for-word, meanings from the book.

Nonetheless, this book is concise and fun enough for any beginner :)

This is a fun book with a lot of fun information on palm reading. It goes way beyond the "Life line, head linem, heart lines" and into dozens of other markers on the palm, the shape of the hand and fingers, including the shape of the nails as it results to a person's life and personality. Fun for parties.

Very interesting stuff, a lot of information, unfortunately it was written in the 80’s and there’s a lot of outdated and how shall I put this… questionable wording in this book.
