The Girl Without a Soul

Rate this book
I am soulless.
I am evil.

At least that's what 17-year-old Faith Brooks believes. She sees souls in a kaleidoscope of swirling color and must watch as everyone’s soul pulls back from her presence. Faith has been desperately seeking redemption, but will it come at too high a cost? Demon Hunter Michael Stone, a Pureblood Angel, possesses a brilliantly white soul that flares to life whenever Faith is near. Faith avoids Michael but is unwillingly pulled into his world. She walks a fine line, knowing that if Michael discovers her secret, he’ll destroy her. Faith needs to convince him she’s not evil… even if she doesn’t believe it herself.

My motto is Live Your Adventure! I try to abide by that philosophy and live my life to the fullest every second. I've jumped out of planes, flown in the backseat of an F-15, gone to pilot training, been an engineer in the Air Force, studied satellites and radars, lived all over the US and in England, and survived the greatest adventure of all, motherhood. Other than my wonderful husband and four beautiful daughters, the highlight of my life was hanging out of the back of a Black Hawk helicopter flying 100ft over the treetops at night.

Writing provides its own kind of adventure where I can mix my life experiences with my own imagination and create whole new worlds. I love to read all sorts of genres and I'm always involved in several writing projects that reflect my varied tastes. Currently, I'm working on a few Young Adult novels (Soulless Series) as well as a Sweet and Clean Romance series (Cupid's Cafe Series). I'd love for you to join me on my author journey. Come step out of your world and into mine to see what adventures I have waiting for you.

I'm really enjoying this series. But now I'm caught up and I have to wait. Waiting is no good. This is a paranormal series- angels, devils, demons and all kinds of paranormal powers. Blood Touch was the first book, then a novella, now this book. I'll be watching for the next book.

Content: some violence, kissing

The concept and idea of Faith being able to see souls is cool. I felt that there were too few challenges for the characters, and everything went too smoothly. Faith was overpowered and nothing really challenged her. I could not feel the connection between the two characters Faith and Michael. It seemed that they fell in love too fast and I don't know how or why. The writing was okay, but not particularly interesting.

Summary:
Good worldbuilding
Instalove or at least not much relationship building
Conflicts resolved too quickly

Great read

Enjoyed this book. The plot flowed easily. It has the badass heroine, hot angel, and the plot was believable. The author did a great job in building the story. The best part was how the ending makes me want to read the next series. It has a good transition ending to start the next book. Not an abrupt cliffhanger. Thank you for a great book. Definitely recommend this book. Can't wait for the next book.

Unique

This is by far the most unique story i have read. The complexities are amazing. The different plays on the biblical tale and angels and demons is different compared to what i have read before. Story definitely leaves you hungry for more. I love the plot line and the different twist and turns though out. I definitely recommend all to read this book. I love it.

Love it

Absolutely loved this book and I cannot wait for the next installment. Faith is a character you can't help but love and Riley as well. Both of them together make the perfect duo.

Awesome book. I couldn't put it down. I cheered for the two main characters to win. The ending left me hanging but in a good way, I can't wait to keep reading more about Faith and Michael.
