This story is about a little girl who decides to listen to the different noises that her body makes. She listens to things like her heart beat, her stomach growling, and her breathing. I would probably use this for grades k-1 if I had to teach a physical education class or just in a health class because they would be able to identify with this.
This book is about a little girl from India (written and available in many languages on the "International Children's Library") who doesn't have anything to do in the day so she listens to her body. She listens to her heart and how slow and fast she can control it, she listens to herself laugh, and she loves that she is able to have different techniques of breath. I really like this book because it talks about self control and the human body. It goes through the different senses. I would use this book for science and the senses, as well as for little kids talking about body self control and how we are able to build our energy up but also able to calm them down -- maybe when explaining the self control corner? Overall a cute book that involves another culture and teaches great lessons.
