Prior to writing romance, award-winning, USA Today Bestseller Melinda Curtis was a junior manager for a Fortune 500 company, which meant when she flew on the private jet she was relegated to the jump seat—otherwise known as the potty. After grabbing her pen (and a parachute) she made the jump to full-time writer. Between writing sweet romance and sweet romantic comedy, Melinda finds time to bond with her husband over home remodeling projects. She recently came to grips with the fact that she’s an empty nester and a grandma, concepts easier to grasp than jet-setting on a potty.

Enjoyed Gavin & Amelia's story but really loved Snowflake. The only part I didn't like was Amelia even remotely thinking of giving her gold digging mother any money at all. There are people who are too toxic to even have as part of your life if you want to be happy. The little background we got in this story clearly shows Amelia’s mother and sister are toxic and would be detrimental to Amelia if she let them back in her life. Her mother was left quite a lot of money so there’s no good reason she needs to guilt Amelia to drain her of more money. I find it ridiculous that Amelia would even consider giving them any money or want either of them back in her life; they’d just cause her more grief & no matter how much money she gives them, it’ll never be enough. I would have much preferred if Amelia had just found peace with not having any contact with her immediate family members ever again.
A really sweet holiday romance with an emotional background I didn't expect. I was in tears when I read about Randall and that we didn't learn more about Tyler's fate had me a little unsatisfied.
However, I really liked that we met the dog Snowflake and his magical dog treats from Dog-Gone Christmas again. Having Gavin suddenly understand dog-speech was hilarious again and gave the book the funny moments that were needed to compensate for the sad topic mentioned above.
The two protagonists were great. I loved the vet "Dr. Scrooge" for never giving up on her patients. And Gavin, oh, I could really understand his inner conflict if his decision was right and I was so happy when and how he found his answer in the end.
This story is another from Heartwarming Holiday. It is about one of the partners of the Boxes & Boughs Events. A man called Gavin. He was creating a New Year Eve event light show. He had a big dog named Snowflake. He took him to work, but Snowflake ran off. He ended up with a woman veterinarian named Amelia. When Gaven worked on the event, Snowflake went to the vet, who made wonderful gingerbread cookies that seemed to make Gavin hear what Snowflake was thinking. Amelia and Gavin got to know each other. They both had memories to share and resolve issues. In this process, they started having feelings for each other. All I can say is it had a good ending.
