Ali Whitman is very career driven, who rarely loses control and lets loose. In her sober mind, she would NEVER indulge in a one night stand, until she finds herself waking up next to a mouth watering stranger. The last thing she remembers is celebrating her promotion to field reporter at Entertainment Rocks! magazine. Tyler Young lives his life in the fast lane. As the bassist for Devil's Garden, a band on the verge of stardom, he lives for the moment, never tying himself down, nor looking back. After his hook up with Ali, he finds himself face to face with her again, as she's the reporter sent to interview the band. That only leads to a string of disasters, which doesn't slow down their quickly growing feelings. I devoured this fast paced, awesome story in the matter of hours, and was upset at the end, as I needed more. Ali is a girl with a tragic past, that leaves her carrying serious baggage, and she frustrated me on one hand, but on the other, her disasters kept me laughing hard. One thing I can't argue with, is her battle of fearing the other shoe dropping was extremely realistic, and I could definitely relate to it. Amy L. Gale has a talented writing style that had me fully invested from the first page to the last. Her characters are flawed humans that make mistakes, but that I could totally see as my friends in real life. A couple of f-bomb worthy moments had me yelling out loud, and the well placed humor had me laughing hard (shark attack). This is another series that I came late to the party in, and boy, I want to kick myself, so of course, I cannot wait to read the previous books asap! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Allison “Ali” Whitman’s day seems to be off to a bad start. I’ve been having a rough time lately and I feel bad about laughing at her bad day but it certainly made me feel better. It also has me looking forward to how this author continues her story. Before I even finished chapter three I knew I was hooked and not going anywhere.

Tyler Young’s in an up and coming band. He’s an interesting character. In one way he seems to be a perfect fit as a band member but when he’s around Ali he seems to be different. Almost felt as if I should take a road trip – as if I’m following the band as they go on tour. Would need to take the book and I would read some as they come to one of the cities where they plan to play.

This is a band that you will want to get to know – you’re never too old to be a groupie. It did have me wondering about the research involved with the author’s characters. Did she follow a band around to get a sense of who her cast of characters would be? What type of music did she play as she was crafting this tale?

You can almost understand where the title to the book comes from. Ali seems to be a walking disaster area – and I just couldn’t help laughing at her misfortunes. This just makes the characters seem more alive – real. The story is like a rollercoaster ride without having a stomach upset. It will be interesting to see which band member is next. And I know there’s at least one book already out that I will need to add to my TBR list.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

reviewed on behalf of amo and Sarah's book corner.

story follows Ali who after a night of celebration for getting a job as a reporter wakes up after a one night stand with a guy. She can't remember his name or what happened in their night of passion. They have breakfast together and she learns his name is Tyler she gives him her number and then they part ways, so when she doesn't hear from him she just thinks she's another notch on his bedpost

When she gets her first job to interview a rock band by the name of devils garden low and behold the bass player is non other than Tyler.

The story is sweet and touching Ali has been through a lot in her past and has walls up but is Tyler willing to break them down? can Ali trust the rock god? will she ever get over her past? and what will the future hold for these two? Tyler is sex on legs and really cares for Ali. I thought I was clusmy but Ali is the queen she trips up and falls over so many times in this book I had to laugh out loud the girl even gets stuck in a elevator during an earthquake with Tyler for crying out loud.

it's a cracking read and I can't wait to see what's next.

This is the first time I have read any of this author’s work, and what an introduction it is! Ali is out to celebrate her promotion when she ends up having a one night stand with a sexy man. As a file reporter for Entertainment Rocks, her first assignment brings her face to face with the oh so sexy Tyler, who is a bassist with the Devil’s Garden. No spoilers from me, you absolutely need to read this for yourself!
This is a flawless and beautiful storyline, which had me hooked and intrigued from the very beginning. I highly recommend this authors work for all romance readers, and I cannot wait to start 1-clicking asap. Fantastic work Amy!

I enjoyed this book immensely, it is a very well written. This is my first book by Amy, but this will not be my last. This book has enough drama to keep you on your toes, sexy time to make you squirm, and enough humor to make it not so serious. Congrats Amy I do believe you have a winner !

Ali is a career-driven klutz who is very stereotypical. Her inner monologue was funny. If she said half the things she was thinking, she would either be top news reporter at her job, or out on the streets. I found myself chuckling a few times at what she was thinking, except when she stereotyped. I wasn’t too fond of that after a while.

Tyler seemed to have it all: good looks, he was a rock star, surfer, adventurer. He brought Ali back to life with all their little adventures. I just don’t know how much was him and how much was Ali stereotyping him. He acted one way, yet she thought of him in an opposite direction.

There was a lot of drama with the secondary characters. It seemed like everyone was out to tear Ali and Tyler apart before they even started. You had snooty bosses, evil co-workers, evil mama bears. Everyone had an attitude toward Ali, except her best friend. But, in the end, even that woman told her friend she was an idiot.

I feel like I was missing some things while reading this. Like, in the beginning, Ali doesn’t want a relationship because of her career and the fact that Tyler is a rock star, who she stereotypes right away as a playboy. Then, 30% in, she has a new reason for not wanting a relationship. That new reason seemed to be thrown in there last minute. Also, she stereotyped Tyler as a playboy so much that his character portrayed that all of a sudden. I don’t remember him ever saying he was a male slut, except in her head, but suddenly he was admitting to it. Yet, throughout the entire book, he was a one-man woman when it came to her, which was 100% of the book. Lots of back and forth on that.

The formatting was horrible. A paragraph would have 3 subjects going on at once—should have been broken down to 3 paragraphs. There were two dialogues in one paragraph sometimes, making me reread the paragraph to understand who was saying what. One paragraph would be broken into multiple, so that the

Paragraph looked

Like this. It was a

mess.

There were a few times that things weren’t included, like people getting dressed. There was one scene when Tyler told Ali to put on a bathing suit, and instead of actually getting dressed, she threw stuff in a bag and appeared to leave her apartment naked. Little things like that bug me to no end.

Oh, and the damsel in distress. Ali needing to be carried everywhere because she couldn’t walk without tripping over herself got old pretty fast. Once or twice, okay. Every time she walked, though? Yeah, how has she not broken anything?

Nevertheless, the author has a good start with this novel. Her characters have a voice (they don’t sound like Charlie Brown’s parents), and that is VERY important. Her movement, along with dialogue, was spot on. She had a story arc that had you turning the pages to find out what happens next. As an editor, I just wish someone had paid attention to all the idiosyncrasy when reading over this book.

I feel like I have more negative than positive things to say about this book, but despite the few things that irritated me, I did find myself wanting to know where the story would end. A few changes, and this book would have been perfect.

Cute Story

Ali Whitman wakes up in her bed next to an Adonis not remembering a single thing about who he is or how they got to be in bed together. She doesn't do one night stands. The gorgeous guy is Tyler bass player for Devils Garden and a real sweetheart. I loved his character, totally swoon worthy, Ali is the disaster, she is very accident prone and her inner thoughts had me smiling. A pleasant read about a very adorable couple.

Ali Whitman wakes up in bed next to a stranger thanks to a one night stand she doesn’t remember bringing home. Thankfully, the gorgeous hunk of a man that wakes up beside her isn’t a killer or worse a clingy freak. No, he happens to be sweet, buys her breakfast, and then completely vanishes.

Jerk!

Ali feels she’s better off considering she moved to L.A. to jumpstart her career and she can forget all about the moment of insanity where she met an incredible man who made her pulse jump. So when Ali begins her new job at Entertainment Rocks! as a field reporter she never expected her first assignment to bring her face to face with the hottest man she can’t fully remember, but the one she also can’t forget.

Tyler Young plays bass guitar for Devils Garden. He’s a man who loves his independent life, living on the road and not being tied down. However, as much as he tells Ali this is how he lives his life, he continually brings her into the secret recesses of his world.

Ali tries to keep Tyler at arms length as best as she can knowing she doesn’t want to lose herself to someone who won’t stay, but Tyler is relentless and continues to show up as her white knight. Ali desperately tries to fight her own battles, after all she is a modern-day woman, but when she finally wakes up and realizes that she’s only fighting herself could she be too late to find her happily ever after?

Blissful Disaster is past of a series, but can be read as a standalone. I had absolutely no trouble jumping in and I never felt like I was missing part of the story. The part I loved most was seeing a sweet tender side of Tyler, knowing he was a rockstar. It hammered home that when you find “the one” you let down your walls and go to any lengths to be with the one you love. If there was anything wrong with Blissful Disaster is that it was missing an epilogue. I would have enjoyed a follow up or wrap up on how the characters were doing. Overall, Blissful Disaster was a blissfully lovely read.

Blissful disaster is a 5 star must read of 2017. I was introduced to Amy Gale's writing in this book and all I can say is wow. In the story, we the reader are introduced to Ali, a magazine writer and Tyler, a rock star. Unfortunately, Ali's first assignment as a entertainment writer is to write an article about Tyler's band and let's just say it doesn't go as well as expected and several misunderstandings occur. Throughout the story, Tyler tries to prove to Ali he is not the stereotypical playboy rock star and Ali needs to learn to trust him and overcome her misconceptions. Their journey to find love is complicated but to us the reader so well worth it. Throughout the story I found myself being their biggest cheerleader. The story does contain sexual situations but they play a pertinent part to the storyline. The book has a HEA ending and I definitely recommend it as a must read and also I would give the book 5 stars.- Julie

This was a very cute story revolving around Ali Whitman, young reporter at the beginning of her career in the cruel world of the written word. She ends up meeting Tyler, legit rock star/surfer wannabe, while out celebrating getting her first job as a field reporter. What starts as a one night stand ends as a pretty tumultuous love affair. Even though she thinks she is over it, Ali is still healing from her high school romance which ended badly years before. She thinks she has it in her to try again with Tyler, however, at some point, she feels betrayed by his attitude and temper, and decides she's better off without him. Tyler works hard to win her back, and it does end in a HEA. There is lots of other drama as well with Tyler's band mate's spouse, who was not a fan of Ali's due to an article she had written about the band, as well as drama with Ali's co-worker, Jake.

The writing is very upbeat and humorous. I loved the interaction between Ali and Tyler, as well as Ali and her best friend, Chloe, and the rest of the characters. The one thing that took the one star off, for me, was the fact that the entire story is being told from Ali's POV. I would have loved to read Tyler's crazy thoughts as well. It almost felt like he was not developed at his full potential as a character because of that. However, it really was a happy book, and I would definitely read more by this author.

Reviewer of 2 Girls Book Reviews

Blissful Disaster is a contemporary romance standalone that promises a lot and believe me when I tell you it delivers. Rockstar falls for a normal girl is a common theme in romance novels. Nevertheless, the author totally twists and own the theme in her very own and unique way. We are told the story of Ali Whitman, a new field reporter at Entertainment Rocks, as a very sexy rock star tries to prove he isn't everything she should stay away from.

Ali is a very likable character and easy to relate to. Every girl has had her heart crushed at some point and fall for the guy she thinks she shouldn't. Who doesn't love a bad boy with a good heart? I must admit that such theme is one of my weakness. Now, Tyler Young (sexy bassist of Devil's Garden) screams alpha hero everywhere but he proves to be much more than an egotistical guy that wants the attention of the heroine. He truly wants her to see who he really is. I do believe both of them found their true selves as they got to know and accept each other. In fact, I do believe that this side of the romance is part of the main catch. The sexy scenes that will have you blushing and giggling are a bonus.

I highly recommend this novel to those that believe that romance listens to no one and it happens when you least expect it. It is stubborn and hears no reason but it is the most disastrous and beautiful kind of mess.

Ali is a clumsy single female still living the end of her previous relationship and trying to establish her career in the Entertainment journalism world when she encounters the gorgeous Tyler on a night out in LA.

An accidental one night turns her world upside down with decisions to be made, hearts to win and great comedy moments!

Will Tyler be enough to win her heart and restore her faith? Will Ali ever be able to apologise enough to the Devil's Garden and the formidable Jenna?

A great, fun read that everyone can identify with when finding romance. Trials and tribulations of rocks target romance isn't an everyday thing but we have all been there....trust, faith and love. Not overtly erotic but some sexual descriptions that make you blush and laugh a little.

Great characters that let you glimpse into their lives and prelude into other storyline to make more good books.  I only discovered after that this isn't a standalone book.

I read this book as an ARC for 2 girls who love books blog in return for an honest review.

Up and coming field reporter Ali comes to LA to forget her train past and make a name for herself. Little does she know that a one night stand ends up being with her first assignment. Tyler bass gutarist becomes her night in shining armor, through many diseasters. There is humor, love, sex, and rock and roll attitudes. Love to read the rest of the bands stories.

Ali Whitman woke up after a night of celebration in her own bed, but she wasn’t alone and she couldn’t remember his name. After getting his name giving him her number, she continues on with her life and starts her new job as a field reporter for Entertainment Rocks! Magazine. Her first assignment, interview the members of Devil’s Garden, a rock ‘n roll band recording their latest album. When she walks in, who does she see, but the guy she woke up next too.
Tyler Young, bassist for Devil’s Garden, is just as shocked as Ali. He repeatedly tried to contact her, but the number she gave him was wrong. Thinking that she did it on purpose, he thought he would never see him again.
As she sits down to interview the band, one heck of a piece comes out of it. Not in a good way for the band, but technically she nailed it. She portrayed them exactly as they behaved…
Tyler of course is livid, so is the rest of the band. He’s off to confront her and the two end up trapped in an elevator together. They decide to try again and actually go on a date. Of course, the band is not happy about her spending time with Tyler, even though she apologizes.
Will Ali and Tyler be able to forge a relationship when she’s already made enemies with the rest of the band? If you like rocker romances, you will like this one! I loved Tyler and was glad to see Ali mature and come into her own. The writing is good and the story flows. It never feels neither rushed or stalled. There were a few times I wanted to slap a character, but in my opinion that was a good thing. I felt real emotions and was drawn in. That to me is one of the signs of a good author.

4* read.

This is the second book I've read by this author and my favourite so far. It is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. The writing style has come on a long way since my first read by this author so I enjoyed it more this time to, it flowed better and I was therefore able to connect to the characters more.

After a one night stand Ali never expects to bump into him again and especially not at her new job. The connection between them was electric and I really enjoyed going on their up and down rollercoaster of a journey with them.

Can't wait for the next.

Blissful Disaster by Amy L. Gale is a contemporary romance novel.
Meet Abi Whitman, promoted to field reporter at a news magazin, a bit clumsy- ok she´s really clumsy. Is on her way to her first job, interview and write an article about Devil´s Garden, a new and up coming band.
And there is Tyler Young, he´s bassist in the band and had a ONS with Abi.
And now- surprise- here they are. The interview goes bad and the band is furoius about the article. But Tyler and Abi start to date. She apologizes profusely. But disaster strikes again. Abi breaks up with Tyler. I was asking myself when will she finally pull up her big girl panties and take a risk?
Or will she run again?
I liked the characters and I liked the writing.

Favorite Quote: " Sometimes what starts out as a complete disaster turns into perfect bliss. "
Amen to that.

A good read with interesting characters, funny situations, steamy dates, good friends, and conniving enemies. The author slowly develops Ali's history, showing her strength and resolve. Ali and Tyler were living their dreams. She was finally a reporter at a real magazine. He had his own successful band. Ali's celebration morning after offered more than a hangover. Tall, ripped, inked, and in her bed. IN HER BED? Yep. The grinning man, Tyler, took her to breakfast and said he'd call. Yeah, right.

Surprise, her first assignment was an up and coming new band. Tyler's band. He acted as if all was good despite the failure to call. She interviewed the rowdy guys and the testy girlfriend and wife. The article was a hit--with everyone but the band. When Tyler came to the magazine to call her on it, an emergency confined the two of them for several hours. She ended up excepting a date after he told her off and helped her deal with the situation.

Trust is an issue. Sexy rocker with fangirls all over him. Her history is an even bigger problem. Ali's inner self seems to know what she wants more than she does. Her reaction to the comments popping out will make you smile even laugh. Tyler brings her out of herself. Can she believe in love, again? Can the two people with careers going in different directions come together?

The storyline and characters will keep you turning the pages.

This would be my first read by Amy L Gale and I plan to read more by her , this has likable characters , funny story line and banter , hot chemistry , and characters you will dislike instantly . Ali was a intriguing heroine she ends up doing something she normally doesn't do and that would be a sexy rocker one night stand that turns out not to be just a one night stand , she was funny when she would word vomit and say things she wouldn't say not as graded , grows more confident and shore of herself . I fell in love with Tyler right from the beginning he's charming , funny , confident , sexy , and swoon worthy . These two had off the charts chemistry witty banter and seamy sex scenes . Some of the secondary characters were likable and some were not . Can't wait to read more by this author

This one was Sweet,  sad, and shows just how much we let ourselves put people in categories just because of how they look, where they are from, or what they do for a living.

Allison is a reporter and after a night of celebrating she get a job interviewing a band and her celebration is in the band, the odds are stacked against them but it is so worth reading this to find out the answer

This is my first book by this author and although this seems part of a series I felt fine jumping in here.
There is a lot to like about this book. The cover is hot and the plot is great. Tyler is such a fantastic guy I was happy to call him my book boyfriend . Ali is good too, she is strong and feisty but not without her issues like a normal person.
I felt there were times when the story felt repetitive or there was an issue with flow but there were also times when I was so invested I couldn't wait for the next page to find out more. So this book is 3.5 - 4 stars to me but with the above issues sorted it would have been more like a 4.5.
All that being said I will absolutely continue on with the series I am hooked now.

I just finished this story moments ago and I want a sequel! I didn't want this to end.

Ali Whitman goes out to celebrate her promotion to field reporter and ends up with memory lapse and a hangover in bed with Tyler Young, the super sexy bassist for Devil's Garden. He is a dream come true, tall, tattooed, ripped, beautiful blue eyes, but also a wild soul. He takes her out for breakfast and tells her he will call. Ok, no call from Tyler but Ali ends up with an assignment to interview their band. The interview and subsequent article causes a ripple with the band. Despite that Tyler and Ali start to date.

"I've never met a girl like you. You tell me exactly how it is. You're not afraid to try something you never thought you'd do. You're smokin' hot with a brain like Einstein. Hell, you even wrote smut about my band in a national magazine and I still can't get you off my mind."

There are some great characters in here, some to love, some to hate. I really fell in love with Tyler, he was such a free soul. Ali had a tragedy in her past and had assured herself she wouldn't love again. She doubts herself all the time, and I felt bad that she did that. Still she was funny, quirky and determined to get ahead with her career. She's also pretty klutzy and has more than one instance proving this.

"I have the moves of an off balance sloth."

Tyler stirs up some trouble for Ali at a formal dinner and things take a turn for the worse with them, but internally I was cheering him on.

"Yeah, watching some douche insult my girl and not being able to do sh*t about it." He sips his beer and put the glass down on the table, harder than necessary. "Definitely not my thing."

I highly recommend this story. I thoroughly enjoyed it!!!

Blissful Disaster starts out on a fun note. Ali and Tyler have an awkward encounter and then- radio silence. They get a story that is fun, hopeful and a bit angsty.

Ali is a reporter, she’s focused, dedicated, and really clumsy. She has trust issues and puts up a great fight, while trying to NOT fall for Tyler. He’s a sexy, irresistible, bad boy-rock star. Once the two are forced together once again, the chemistry is still off the charts. They push and pull at each other. Tyler knows what he wants, but Ali is a bit skittish of relationships.

Tyler, Ali and the rest of the cast is given a well written, quickly paced story. Things move fast, and it’s an exciting ride. The sex scenes are hot, the story keeps you reeled in, and the characters are well developed and multifaceted. Each is memorable in their own way. I would recommend this book to any Rock star loving reader!

**Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this book.**

When your one-night-stand becomes your first assignment.

Ali wakes to find a handsome stranger in her bed. And though he's a perfect gentleman in the morning, she's bummed when he doesn't call her after. Much to her surprise, the mystery man is Tyler, a member of an upcoming rock band. One that she has been tasked to interview.

But when the article doesn't get the reaction from the band that she was expecting, her world is turned upside down. Suddenly, the band members hate her guts, her boss wants more of the same brutally honest work, and Tyler wants an explanation. Oh, and also an apology. Yet, Ali soon discovers that her rocker just might want her heart, too.

There was a lot to like and dislike about this book. It felt like a debut novel in some ways. As if the kinks in the author's writing just haven't been ironed out, yet. My critiques are mainly feedback on technicality. Some of what I found to be negative elements of the book may not bother the average reader. However, I think it's important when giving an honest review to be honest. So here are my thoughts, good and bad, about this book.

I'll start with the good. The plot was actually pretty exciting for me. I love rock star romances and even though naughty rockers are a lot of fun, the plots often get a bit boring when it always revolves around the same old things: touring, recording, and groupies. This book didn't really have any of that and I'm actually grateful. The reporter who publicly disses her lover's band? Yeah, that was a new one and I enjoyed seeing that whole disaster play out.

Most of the characters were actually pretty nicely done, too. Our rocker, Tyler, isn't your typical "rebel without a cause" sort of guy. He has hobbies, doesn't treat women like they're his entertainment, and has a great sense of humor. In general, the humor in this book was a major plus for me. I laughed several times while reading our couple's dialogue. Even the secondary characters were entertaining.

And there were also some things that I didn't like. One was Ali. She had a very snobby attitude about the entire interview and obviously had no idea what sort of lives rock stars live. I could understand her writing the article in a fit of anger over her fling with Tyler. But when faced with her actions, she didn't apologize. And I never could understand her reasoning for not feeling ashamed. I would have.

I think this is one of those times where having a dual POV would have been beneficial. I liked Tyler, and I even liked Ali after I forgave her for the article. But she was a difficult character to sympathize with and I just couldn't understand why Tyler kept going back to her. If we had been able to see his side of things, maybe I would have.

But my biggest problem with this book was So. Much. Repetition. Holy cow. Tyler 'ran his hand through his hair' in every single scene he was in. Sometimes twice in one scene. I'm not even kidding. Giggling like someone had 'seen Elvis' was mentioned more than once. Ali told Lexie about the sand ceremony twice, which was odd.

Also, it seems the only way to remove clothing in this book is by 'slipping a finger' underneath it. That is how it was described just about every time. I hope that the author will find a way to diversify her descriptions and cut down on the repetition. Even Ali's tripping and falling happened so often that it wasn't cute anymore by about the fifth time. To be honest, an editor should have caught most of these things and hopefully will in the future.

In closing...
A nice story with a sweet rocker and an ambitious heroine. Three suns!
