Isabel... My father thinks I’m going to marry the wimp he’s chosen. I've got news for him. I am out of here.
Jake... When the girl vanished, I was hired to bring her back. It was just another job. Until I found out the real reason why she ran.
The rebellious daughter... The plan was simple. Stay out of sight and out of reach. Then he found me. Now I’m trapped with a brute who refuses to let me out of his sight.
The hired muscle... If I don’t take her home, I'm a dead man. So why did I just grab her? And why am I pushing her down onto her knees?
A standalone dark romance novel with no cliffhangers, no cheating and a guaranteed HEA.
This is an alright cover. It's a good representaion of the hero. It has good composition and a eye-catching title.
This author is quickly becoming one of my favorites! That said this one was a TINY bit of a disappointment. The good did outweigh the bad though so let us start with that.
As always this was a well-written and nicely paced book. The plot was interesting and kept me turning the pages, and the characters were likable and felt well developed.
That said, this book wasn't steamy in the least. The hero and heroine don't even have sex until the epilogue. Up until that point, we get a couple of fantasy scenes and a half BJ. Honestly, I found that a bit disappointing. I also thought the Daddy kink was a bit light as well. Mostly just the heroine calling the hero daddy. For me, I would have liked more steam and more kink.
That issue aside it was still an enjoyable read as reflected in my giving it a 4-Star rating.
I truly enjoy this author’s “voice”. She has a style that is unique and fresh. In her newest release Daddy’s Here, Isabel, the heroine, is on the run from her father, the mob, and the man she’s supposed to marry. Jake, the hero – mafia enforcer/thug/goon - is bringing her home. Until he doesn’t. The result is a trip that brings these two together and begins to open the door to a daddy dom/little girl relationship.
While the characters do not consummate their relationship until the epilogue, that did not stop them from fantasizing about each other and allowing the reader to experience the fantasy with them. It was plenty steamy enough if just slightly disappointing that it didn’t reach its climax (pun intended).
There were a few details in the story that were inconsistent and hindered my enjoyment and I struggled to get past them. While the direct, forthcoming dialogue is refreshing, it did not allow me to feel an emotional connection with Jake or help me to sympathize with Isabel.
This was not my favorite book by this author but it will not be the last.
Daddy's Here by Lucy Wild is a book, as the cover suggests containing Daddy play. And for all you kinky ladies out there who love a little Daddy play, this one is definitely a MUST READ. I must admit this is the first book of Lucy Wild's that I've read but honestly, after this one, I am undoubtedly a very huge fan. This book starts off slow, it's the greatest foreplay, the ultimate build up to the most profound pleasure. The sexual tension between Isabel and Jake is palpable.
It starts off with Isabel and portrays her as a spoilt little princess living off her father's money. And when her father tries to marry her off, she runs. Now for the good part, Jake is sent to retrieve her but things don't go as expected. He doesn't expect to fall her good looks, her vulnerability and her sass. He doesn't expect to get turned on when she starts calling him Daddy. He's playing with fire being around her, but nothing will seem to make him leave her side. There are so many other obstacles but the main point of this book, the MOST IMPORTANT PART, is how these two finally exploded when they're fuses are lit. There are no words to describe how delicious and filthy these two can get. This story is so intense and it keeps you on your toes. You never know what happens and you just itch to get to the next part because so many things are happening.
I devoured this book in one breath. I couldn't get enough of it. Their banter is like a breath of fresh air, the way they interact has me either laughing or squirming in lust. It's the best thing. Lucy Wild has taken our guilty pleasures and intensified it a million times over. She's created a book so hot, you'll burn up right from the start. This a book you don't wanna miss out on. 3.5 who is your daddy stars! Isabel is a spoiled rich girl who doesn't really get along with her father. Jake is a man who is focused on working his "job," because he really has nothing else. When Isabel's father offers her up on a silver platter to be wed to a mob bosses son she's not having it. Jake is the one sent after her and all I'll say is things don't quite according to plan. She isn't what he expected at all, and may be just what she needs.
Daddy's Here by Lucy Wild is a quick read! A light take on a mob/kidnapping trope, with a little bit of Daddy kink coming into play. I am NOT usually a fan of Daddy kink, but there wasn't very much in this story despite the name. Honestly, there was a decently normal relationship between two MC's considering it is a novella! They at least bond a bit before getting to the naughty bits! All in all a good read! This is my first Lucy Wild book, but if I need something quick, she will be where I look!
Isabel is a 19 year old spoiled party girl who honestly needs a lot of taking care of. Her father was horrible and basically bargains her to a mob boss who is looking for a bride for his son, Kingsley. When she runs away Jake is brought into find her, and the story really takes off from there. I loved how Jake protected her and really did in a way become the daddy she's always longed for by always keeping her safe. He wasn't her father by any means, he was just her daddy and she was his little girl.
This story had a great plot line and was well written. It shows us why Isabel is a lost little girl and why Jake is so gritty and edgy. I loved how there was a build up with these characters, the attraction was there but, they both just kind of pushed it aside. But with that being said I really wished we would of got more heat in the book, and more kink factor.
I still really liked this book, I enjoy Lucy's writing. There was also a few unexpected moments in the book that made me laugh out of nowhere, Isabel's playfulness was very relatable in the book. I enjoyed the scenes where she went out of her way to make Jake as uncomfortable as possible.
This ARC was sent to me by the author for an honest review. As the book starts we meet Isabel, who is a spoiled brat. Her father is wealthy and has substituted money for his love. When her father demands that she help him settle a debt Isabel runs away. A dangerous man named Jake is then sent to find Isabel. Jake is then faced with a moral issue and he is not a man with morals. I really enjoyed this book because it was fast paced. It definitely had a Daddy/Lil girl theme but it wasn't over the top. I liked Jake, his thoughts were always dirty and he was a protector. He was extremely smart and an amazing opponent! Isabel was immature but not innocent. I believe she lacked the love that she needed and deserved from her father. All and all it was a good book but I would have loved more passionate moment between Jake and Isabel. I am a fan of Lucy Wild and I look forward to reading her next book!
~ ARC provided by author in exchange for honest review ~
~2.5-3 I didn't find the storyline nor the characters too memorable. And what I mean is that they're pretty typical as with other erotic romance novels/novellas. I wanted more *zing* from the story line like how he found her in my opinion was too neat. And even the connection between Jake and Isabel lacked the chemistry to make it hot. Jake is meant to be a way older man and honestly I didn't feel that at all. I was constantly questioning how the age in this age play book was going to factor. And there was certainly moments of it, such as being able to pretend like she was his daughter but otherwise Jake's character - his reaction and decision making - didn't feel very mature in comparison to his baby. And it felt like the only reason why one can call this age play is because they call each other Daddy and Baby. It would have been nice to actually see and feel the age play.
This bittersweet romance book was awesome! Isabel is a young woman who's used to getting everything she wants, except love. When her father arranges a marriage for her that she wants no part of, she runs. Jake is a real bad boy and he works for bad people. His job is to bring Isabel back, but can he do it knowing the awful fate that awaits her? It should be easy for someone like him but Isabel had gotten under his skin. These two well-developed characters are forced together and although the attraction is there, the trust isn't. The suspense regarding what each of them will ultimately decide to do is ever present in the story. In addition, danger lurks around every corner. With a mild age play theme, the story is very entertaining. I highly recommend this well-written book.
I received this book in advance for an honest review. Great characters and plot. I felt it was missing the steaminess factor but I still enjoyed it. Spoiled rich girl runs away to avoid being forced to marry a gangster's son. Mob enforcer is sent after her and has a hard time bringing her home. Good book.
Soooo... I will start by saying I loved this for reasons that very few people will. This book actually had a plot that I could get into. Even though it was quite predictable. I knew what would ultimately happen since Wild sticks to HEA. Although it was pretty exciting to see who would get to her first, me personally would have loved for this to take a turn down a dark road, but hey I'm slightly depraved.
To begin with, Izzy didn't strike me as your normal rebel rich kid. As the story went on, i got to really feel for her and her struggles. She didn't take her father's money just to be taking it, she took it because that is all he every gave her. Just sad. Jake on the other hand just couldn't find peace in life. The poor guy felt like everyone he cares about gets hurt. He blames himself for the life he has been dealt and believes that he is no longer a man who can love. This is your typical set up. Yes there are definitely some unique factors. The character development is great considering the length of the story. I got to know a great deal about the main characters and also a little about everyone else involved.
OAN: I enjoyed the build up of sexual tension. Most will complain that there was not enough however i love the fact that everything was given in equal doses. However, to everyone who may be looking for you next smutty age play, this is not it. The twist that is put on age play is definitely different than what i am used to and definitely on the lighter side.
Isabel is a bratty 19 year old rich girl who likes to party and blow her father's money. One night after partying she is summoned to her father's house only to find out that she is expected to marry mob boss Tony Matteo's son Kingsley. She agreed to do it just so she could get out of her father's house and get to her own home. Isabel decides to run away from her father and the marriage to Kingsley a man she has never met. Tony Matteo sends Jake one of his hired goons to hunt down Isabel down and bring her back home. It doesn't take Jake long to find her but it is harder than he thought to bring her home. Isabel and Jake seem to clash but there is also and attraction there between them. Both of them let their minds wonder into mindful actions of what they would do to each other given the opportunity. Jake starts to change his mind about taking Izzy home to get married to Kingsley. He knows that Izzy is to innocent for someone like Kingsley. Kingsley is the type of person who likes to dominate and abuse his women. Can Izzy convince Jake to not take her back or will Tony send more men to kill him? Will they survive and be free? Will she marry Kingsley? Or will Jake keep her for himself? I received this book as an ARC copy for a voluntarily honest review. Awesome book.
The author , Lucy Wild , brings us readers a great D/D novel with characters of depth .Isabel Flemming , daughter of a wealthy lawyer and young party girl finds herself in the center of an old bargain her father made to a dangerous mafia leader. When she is forced to marry the son of the leader she runs away seeking the help and love of a past lover.

All his well when the boss is dead, his son stops the marriage and Jake and Isabel go home together. The two then get a little steamy in the bedroom, each one receiving what was desired from the very start.
This was a good book. My very first book that I've read by Lucy Wild and I really enjoyed it and will read her other book's. This was a slow build up it wasn’t one of those wham bam in your face dark reads. I also don't think it was that dark, I see why she has to put it in that category but to me it wasn't. The flow was really good, it had some good action and some parts where kinda funny. It was a very fast read for me and I wished it was longer. The characters could have been more developed but you still get a sense of who and what they are and where they are coming from. Overall I really enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down!! I had to know what was going to happen and how they were going to get away. And how they where going to deal with all that sexual chemistry they had going on!!! Like I said I really enjoyed this book and I definitely recommend it.
This story is very intense and will have you on the edge of your seat from page one to the very end. The hotness of this book is beyond anything you can imagine. Isabel may be a spoilt little rich girl, but she just wants attention. Jake may be the hired gun, but he has a past that you don't see coming. I am so glad Isabel had him when she needed him most. He give her the stability and attention she has needed her whole life. The ending was just perfect. I highly recommend this book to all who love Daddy/lg books. You outdid yourself on this one Lucy Wild.
I volunteered to read an Advanced Readers Copy of this book.

* I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review* This book ended way to soon! I want some more Jake action. I am starting to fall in love with this author and her books. Isabel and jake just took my breath away as their journey progressed. Though I found a little hitch in the storyline and the characters did need a little more development, it's nothing that hinders you from enjoying the book. I also thought if the book is DD/lg themed it needs a little more of those kind of scenes. The book gives you a thrilling chase, and a lot of sexual tension that will definitely make your tingly all over.
Isabel left the night club where she had a lot to drink. She tries to get a taxi, but her father sent a limo to pick her up. He wants to talk to her. Her father owes a favor to Tony Matteo, and Tony wants Isabel to marry his son Kingsley. She doesn't want to marry Kingsley and takes off to her first boyfriends place to see if Ben still loves her. Jake works for Tony and he is sent to find Isabel, and bring her back to marry Kingsley. This story has a lot of excitement in it and keeps you turning the page. I truly enjoyed this story and would recommend this book to anyone who like sexy hot love stories. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy.
This was my first book by Lucy Wild and I really enjoyed it. Isabel was a rich girl acting out to get her dads attention when she gets called home. He has arranged doe her to marry the local mobsters son. When she finds this out she runs away. Jake gets called in and sent to find her and bring her back. When they meet they are instantly attracted to eachother but fight it. Eventually Jake can't take her back, he is going to do everything to protect her. A book that had a bit of suspense along with a lobe story. *I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy of this book *
DNF at 27%. This book was kind of misleading. It's not really complete length books, but short stories? Anyway, I only read the first one described in the blurb and it was complete at 27%. So I did finish that one, just didn't care for the lack of drama and lack of heat to read anymore by this author.
If you're turned off by the "Daddy" thing, then definitely don't read this book. However, it's really done more in a pet name type of way than the full on Daddy/Daughter sex kink. It's also insta everything and moved very slow.
Izzie's father owes money to a gangster so to pay his debt he offers his daughters hand in marriage. Izzie runs away and her father recruits Jake to find her and bring her back. Jake finds her but wants her for himself and wants to be her daddy.
The two go on the run and the mob boss sends his goons to track the pair down.
This is a sweet love story with elements of age play.
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book.
** I am voluntarily reviewing an Advanced Reader Copy of this book** I thought this book was going to be about the typical spoiled, rich princess and the older, tough guy, but this book pleasantly surprised me. Jake and Izzy's story starts out pretty typically for this genre, but quickly becomes so much more. These characters are well written, playful, interesting, and sexy. The book moves at a great pace and was an overall fun read. Lucy Wild is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.
This book was more of a suspense action type romance. She is being forced to marry someone so she runs away and he is sent after her. They kind of are on an adventure, until they get caught. It was a fun read, though some parts made me sad and were very serious. This is my second book by Lucy Wild that I have read and I really like her style. I do wish there would have been a bit more lovin in it though. I received an arc of this.
Isabel is on the run from her father, the mob, and the man she is supposed to marry. Jack a mafia enforcer, is sent to bring her home. No spoilers from me though, you need to read this for yourself! This is a well written storyline, however, I felt that the story was a times a tad inconsistent, but that is just my opinion. I enjoy this author’s unique talent and cannot wait to read more from her. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book!
I received an advanced copy of this book and have opted to provide this honest review.
Jake and Isabel are an interesting couple. I loved Jake's backstory. Isabel: I could take or leave. The premise isn't new or terribly original, however, the Devil's in the details. It was well written and flowed well.
Not as much steam as I expected, but it was enough to keep me looking for more.
Fun, sexy tale, finished in about 2 hours. Looking forward to more from this author.
The girl in this story has been given to the mob by her own father. She is to wed the bosses son. She has not even met him, but one thing for sure is that she wants no part of it. Jake who works for the mob is sent to bring her home. He finds her they both end up running from the mob. It is suspenseful as they travel. As an extra there is two more stories after the main book. Both are good.
Enjoyed this latest Dd/Lg novel by Lucy Wild. It's about Jake being sent by his mob boss to look for and return Isabel, the runway bride. She's supposed to marry the boss' son. What happens when he finds her and as they make their way back is a fast paced adventure. My only criticism is that I wanted more sexy scenes. Otherwise it was well written and a good read.
If you're a fan of DD/lg stories, then you will love Daddy's Here by Lucy Wild. A well-written, fast paced story with an interesting story-line, well-developed characters, some kinky scenes, suspense, and a few twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
I volunteered to review an advanced readers copy of this book.
This happens to be a very first book by this author, although it is daddy's book it took while to get to that point. Jake was very different from regular alphas I read about. He was an alpha but he needed the push to get it out. Once h did he let his alpha shine.
This is a new author for me but so far I am really liking her voice. I was surprised that the hero/heroine did not actually have sex until the end of the book but lots of fantasizing did occur. I look forward to reading more from this author.
My first read by this author and I thought it was great. I'm not a big fan of "daddy" play but I felt it was tastefully done and the story behind it didn't make it uncomfortable to read.
