*** 365 joy filled tasks to make your life more engaging, fun, caring and jolly ***"There are little things we can all do that can make a huge difference to our lives and to the lives of those around us. Doing something jolly every day that you can look back on with a smile and be grateful for, knowing it has also brought kindness to others, can gently help replace old negative thought patterns with more positive ones. The tasks included in this little book are designed to be universal and free (or as cheap as possible). And all the ideas here, however silly they may seem, offer genuine and healthy ways to change the way we feel for the better.

This was such a fun daily book to read this year. Can’t say I did everything that Miranda wrote to do but just reading it gave me a laugh.

An entire year has passed and oh what fun it's been!
Very entertaining and very Miranda. I myself am too stuck in my own shell to dare to attempt many of the hijinx suggested, but I had fun trying. I also realized that my comprehension of the British dialect was at a lower level than I'd thought; I had to look up quite a few words and expressions on dictionary.com.
Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to break their daily routine!

I really wanted to love this book but some of the suggestions in it border on ridiculous (rather than just being fun and silly). It is also based on a northern hemisphere year (as opposed to southern hemisphere one) which made it a tad confusing in places. I still liked the concept though and had a wee giggle here and there. I've given it 4 stars but it's more like 3.67 stars rounded up because it's Miranda Hart <3

Such fun! ;) I když pro mě asi spíše jen úsměvné čtení. Co mě překvapilo, tak Mirandina zkušenost s úzkostma, to bych teda vůbec netipovala. O důvod víc, proč si přečíst její další beletristický kousek.

I had a lot of fun with this daily read of encouragements and humorous tidbits. I've been a fan of Miranda Hart's comedy for years now so it was a no-brainer to pick up this little daily "devotional" and allow myself a little pick-me-up to recover from some of my other heavier reads this year. A lot of it was certainly whimsical, and that was very welcome, but the book was also filled with uplifting messages to encourage the reader to think a little differently and I am glad I was able to get a little daily joy out of this all year long.

"Daily Dose of Such Fun" is a short book released for Comic Relief (a charity which uses comedy to promote charitable causes). I'm a fan of Miranda Hart's quirky off-beat style of comedy so was excited for this. It's a book that gives small tasks for each day of the year.

Tasks range from silly games and random social interactions to mindful self-care and thoughtfulness. The little tasks are intended to break the monotony of daily life, while promoting positivity and self-confidence. Some of the daily suggestions are a bit unrealistic, particularly for the more shy or anxious of us, but I like the overall vibe of the goals and can see the benefit of following some of the advice every now and then.

Cute book, good charity cause.

This was different and better than I expected. I expected just fun, silly daily things to do. But it really focused on coming from suffering from anxiety and suggesting fun, silly things to do out in the world (though often too much for the shy, retiring type), but also soothing self care things and moving from inward focus to outward focused by doing helpful, sweet or fun things for other people.

A great Book and a Great way to help others to find a way to cope
with Anxiety and Depression. I found it very helpful though I must
say I am not as brave as Miranda doing some of the daily fun things.
I couldn't do the singing in front of people/strangers I can't even sing
out loud at home if someone else is in the room I've tried many times.

I really like Miranda, and I feel like this book started as a good idea, but in reality only about 10% of the daily tasks were actually achievable / something an anxious person could actually accomplish. Far too many involved acting like an idiot in public, inappropriately approaching strangers or other ideas that people who are anxious would find anxiety-inducing.

Absolutely hilarious, I love this book. I had this especially ordered from the library for me, the first reader from the library :) I also loved it so much I want to keep it as a reference to life and having fun - so I then bought a copy :) Love Miranda! She is so like me that it is scary to think there is 2 of us in the world!

As a huge fan of the TV show, Miranda, I was looking forward to a good laugh with this book. The book wasn’t what I expected. The ideas were largely inane, which was intended I’m sure, but they didn’t make me laugh. There were a few ideas that I will use, but I was disappointed with the content and format of this book. Sorry, Miranda, I still truly appreciate you!

I felt like the tasks were much more fun at the beginning of the book than at the end....and doing those things might indeed make life more fun, or make more people think I'm awkward, which is also fun :)

I received this book as a gift from a dear friend and I wish I had read it sooner in order to celebrate it with her. For fans of the show, this book radiates her unique brand of humor, whimsy, and at times child-like innocence. On a shallow level, you could argue this is a silly book of at times nonsense ideas.

But really, it's a powerful book that stresses the need to not take life so seriously and find little ways to reintroduce fun into all of our lives. It's almost along the lines of ideas of pranks to play on oneself, but doing so may make you laugh and smile when you might have forgotten to do so in your darker days.

This book is a ray of sunshine that will help you turn things around on a gloomy day. And while not all ideas can be easily put into practice during this pandemic and the different quarantines and social distancing measures, I figure that a lot might just work out and brighten a gloomy day indoors.

I love this book. I got it for Christmas one year because my parents knew I liked Miranda Hart’s The Girl With The Lost Smile. You can use it every day of the year and it is full of fun things to do. It just makes your year so much more fun and there is not a day that you can’t have fun! Fabulous book and sometimes they feel like she is daring you to do these things but in a fun way. A bit like you are playing truth or dare with your friends! I love this book.

I was doing so well. I had started reading on the day that I got the book and read only each task for each day, but today, I cheated and read the entire thing. I LOVE it. Miranda is open about how she has struggled with severe anxiety and depression and that these daily tasks are to make life fun again. It's a distraction and a way to connect with the world around us. Also, extremely amusing.

Such fun! I don't have the nerve to do half of these things, but just picturing myself in the described situations made me smile. Luckily I do some of these tasks, like quoting Miranda's t.v. show (daily). Miranda's voice shines through in this book, making me want to re-watch her show all over again.

365 ideas of fun things to do to boost your spirit. Was thinking of abandoning this after a few pages of ideas that didn’t resonate, but then found some that did. Some I would definitely do, some just laugh out loud funny that you wouldn’t do. Ended up getting lots of ideas and thoroughly enjoying the book.

This is more of a daily devotional type book, but I made a point of sitting down and reading it through before I start doing the daily activities. I'm not sure how long I'll be able to keep up with it in 2018, but I'm going to try!

While I appreciate the intention of the book, it didn't work for me as I just couldn't see anyone - let alone someone suffering from anxiety - doing most of these suggestions. That said, visualising Miranda doing them, as if in her sit-com, now that did make me smile....

I read this every day as intended throughout the year. Some of the suggestions were ridiculous, some poignant, some a bit dumb, some inspiring, but all were....such fun! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to add some fun Miranda goofiness to their year!

I may re-read this book in 2021 but this time only one entry every day. So Miranda Hart can cheer me up for 365 days!
